The Side Saddle system expands all Haley Strategic chest rigs and placards into more capable systems that can mount extra mission essential gear. The two rows of MOLLE on each panel allow you to attach any two row MOLLE pouch that you choose.
The Side Saddles are backwards compatible, so if you do run our legacy chest rigs such as the D3CR-H you don't miss out on this added capability. The Kit includes all hardware to properly attach the Side Saddles to your Haley Strategic chest rig or placard.

I had the same thing made by a custom nylon shop. So glad it's readily available from HSP.
Honestly it's pretty sick. I feel bad because I did a review video that kind of painted it in a bad light despite the fact that it's probably my favorite chest rig setup I've ever had.
The reason I like the 3X is that it's one of the few that allows 4 AR mags from the start.
Didn't even know this was a thing but now I'm excited AF. Been waiting for the TRMP standalone release. This would be perfect for my micro or a TRMP...

I've done so much research the past couple months looking into chest rig systems. Haley strategic is the most innovative, forward thinking, modular system on the market. I can't find a single product that checks off as many possible desires of their clients like Haley products do. I cannot wait to see what Mike's company onward research produces. Their recce rig is a small window into the cool things to come from a family dedicated to quality products for their target audiences. They are bringing back the old tradition of quality work for quality pay, where every cent spent at their businesses provide a satisfactory compensation to the consumer
Damn me, havent seen a Travis Haley video since he collabed with Spartan117Gw and the D3 chest rig just came out for the Mayflower.
Its crazy how big the youtube gun industry got since then. Sootch00, James Yeager, IraqVet8888, Hickok45, MillitaryArms, and TravisHaley were really the pionners of the gear review, survival, tips and info on shooting and hunting and basic home defense. Just wanted to say appreciate all the work that was put into creating those videos and so glad the company has grown since than.

Very nice rig! From my perspective if your doing legit Recce in no man's land a decent H-harness like eagle industries used to make was king. I always had a prc152 or some type of comms, PVS 31s and a pvs 26, binos, laser range finder, multi tool, small weapons cleaning kit, batteries. Usually some sort of camo/conceal kit like shears, netting, tie downs ect. Sometimes a camera. In urban environments if in a building you can usually take all your stuff off and setup. In other types of terrain I usually like to keep stuff on. The only thing I've never liked about these kind of chest rigs was being in the prone a lot and laying right on top of mags which made it kind of weird behind a long gun where as with the Hharness with a split front that you could unbuckle you could be in the prone extremely comfortable with your kit on. I've always liked everything tight to the body that way things aren't flopping around or making unnecessary noise. With enough weight on a chest rig it was kind if a pain to keep everything tight the straps would loosen up. The Haleystrategic stuff looks well thought out and designed.

At first I wanted (and had) different kits for everything (cqb, recce, etc) but it’s getting exhausting having so much stuff to constantly check on and having duplicates of everything. I want a rig that can be used stand-alone for recce, has everything I need on it, and put on a carrier just to add armor. I thought the mayflower rig would be too large for this, but actually feels slicker than it looks, and the radio pouch falls right where I would have a Molle mounted radio pouch on the carrier anyways. Only issue is medical danglers…velocity couldn’t be bothered to just line the whole backing with Velcro instead of giving you the tiny square, making it not that secure on the carrier and I can’t add a mini med dangler without modification, and at the end of the day it won’t run 7.62.
All of that to say, I’m hoping a this heavy rig and these wings can replace the mayflower in that role, being it’s fully backed with Velcro, I can run mini danglers, and 7.62 guns. I just hope the radio will fall in the same spot it does with the mayflower.
Please bring back the original HSP D3CR/EGL VOCR with the Stuffit Pouch and H Harness.

You should check out the beez. These look kinda rushed tbh. No angle on the side buckles, no form of security on the top, no internal mounting

A little over priced for what I’m getting, $80.00 and I still need to add a pouch.
It is a bit pricey for what it is. Although it does provide a much better mounting option than just the velcro like other sidewings, not just a pouch with a velcro tab stitched on. Looks like it can actually support some weight and stay rigid/comfortable to the rig, especially with the padding on the back too. It serves it's purpose for what it does I suppose. Crazy how expensive nylon stuff is these days.
Does this work as well with the older version rigs, pre-full-field-hook-backing?

Are these side saddles compatible with a spiritus systems small GP pouch?
those require 3 rows of webbing so they won't fit. ATS tactical small upright GP pouch fits and is a good option for GP on the side saddle. Here i have a spiritus nalgene pouch and ATS upright GP pouch mounted on the side saddles on an original d3cr. i.imgur.com/1dzlSIl.jpg.
