This is the clearest and most concise video I have seen on RAW. After seeing countless other videos on this, I never wanted to try it but you did such a great job that I will now make a RAW bracelet and find another video with your other ideas on filling in the spaces. I like easy so one bead at a time I will build some awesome bracelets, thanks to you and your fantastic video. Thank you for sharing your talent.
So I've been using RAW and now CRAW in my bead weaving for about 5 years and every so often I watch to refresh so I know im still doing it correctly. I have to say you are tje first tutorial that explains why we go to the lwft or right at each addition and not just straight down. When I first started using this technique and doing an off centre pattern, I wish someone had explained why er do it that way and would have stopped a lot of headaches and pulling work apart when I noticed a thread in a place I didn't need it. Thanks 😊 🙏
Thanks for the video gina. I am very new to bead weaving and the right angle is my favorite, it's easy. I havent tried a second or third row but now I might with this video. You take it slow for me to follow along and you explain why we should so something. I want to thank you from all of us new bead weavers.
Hi Gina! Thanks for showing this bead weaving stitch!! You made it so simple and your explanation was very clear!! The use of different color FP beads to show how to add width was a fabulous teaching technique!! This tutorial helped me to REALLY UNDERSTAND the RAW stitch!! Thank you for taking the time to show us NON BEAD WEAVERS how really simple this stitch can be!! ❤️📿🌼
Hahaha, isn't it, though?! It's so easy to overthink when trying to explain it; esp. when I am used to going through the motions. I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial!
Love both of your bracelets, especially the bottom when you turned it over. WOW! And the top I like bote sides. Thank you for sharing these with us . 🤗💖
I've been bead weaving for years now, but I always avoided anything to do w/ RAW, including CRAW, PRAW, (all of RAW's sisters). I think I developed a RAW block, and you've done an amazing, concise job explaining this stitch to me.
Such a great teacher you are. I have a headband that elastic is worn out. I would like to redo it. Hopefully I can with elastic thread??? Thanks so much!
Thanks so much, Rachel! I am hoping to share some hair accessory ideas in the future, including an elastic beaded headband. :) Definitely give it a try with what you have - you can always take it apart and try again.
I’ve never understood why the next bead set would be only 3 beads then another row where you only add 2 beads, that’s how my patterns haven’t worked out. TFS, now it’s clear in my head I can try a bracelet and earrings I’ve seen, you’re a great inspiration and teacher. I love all the different designs you come up with and think sometimes how did you even think of doing that, keep the tutorials coming. Love from Lorraine in Scotland 💕💕🏴
Thank you for reviewing the basics for us! I'm still not a great weaver, only peyote, but I was just organizing my fire polish strands today, and they're such beautiful beads, I wanted to do some simple weaving with them. So this video is perfect! 👍😊💗💗💗
Hi, this a great tutorial and I really like this stitch (it definitely takes practice!) I would like to make one embellished with seed beads around the outside and in the middle. Have you done a tutorial showing how to do that? I can't find anything.
This is cindy from piney flats. Love the pearl braclet could u put what u used colors u used and a video of it. I love to make me one like that one, Thank you Cindy Ford
Does that fishing line stay smoother? I tried to use Wildfire and it just curled up and became a mess. Is there a coating on this to help it stay straight?
Hi Mary, I have tried many threads/line over the years, but now almost exclusively use Fireline for beadweaving (I like it even better than Wildfire, but that's just a personal preference). I have zero issues with it curling up, and it seldom gets knotted - when it does it is not as difficult to remove. Additionally, it is waterproof, and doesn't dry rot like monofilament fishing line. Some people still wax their fireline, but I found it isn't necessary, personally, and it can leave a build up of waxy residue around the beads. If you haven't used the Fireline brand yet, I'd highly recommend trying it, so you can see how you like it. :) I hope that helps. Thanks for your question!
I've done RAW, but recently came across instructions for "one-drop right angle weave." Does anyone know what that is and where there might be a TH-cam video tutorial for it?
Wow, great question! I haven't heard of this technique, at least by that name, but I will keep my eyes open. I have heard of something called "stitch in the ditch, " which is where you fill in the gaps on the side with a bead, but that is probably not it. There is also the hubble stitch, which has similarities to RAW. If anyone has any info, please feel free to share below! :)
Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciated how slowly you went so that beginners could understand also.
Awww, my pleasure! 💜💜💜
I learnt this stitch doing your Terrarium Beaded Pendant... it only hit me afterward 😃 Thank you very much... love your teaching style
You are so welcome!! :)

Hi Cindy! Just search for the "laces out" and "princess cut" videos on my channel. I have videos on both. Thanks so much for watching!
Do you have tutorials for the two bracelets you showed at the beginning? I would love to try those.

@@ORCHIDandOPAL Thanks Gina, I will give it a try. I have been using the fireline beading thread and I really like that ,but I will try the crystal.
