Has nick blackhurst performed his first bodge job!!!! Panel bond to fill an aerial hole???? Couldn’t have just welded it up, ground it back and tack welded the mounting bracket for the interior light bracket? I know metal has a tendency to warp when welding but surely a man of his caliber knows the best ways to minimise this???!
This is the most luxurious, performance-packed OG Mini ever built. With each new addition, you make all of my challenges seem very small. I hope you never finish it because I want videos of it forever! ;)
Absolute nonsense. I can confirm, as the operator of both fine Italian and British machinery, any perceived trouble with electrics is down to operator error. You see, the wiring systems in these vehicles is entirely powered by random number generators, ergo expecting any given thing to occur upon operation of a switch is a complete folly. Sure, the RNG does appear to be biased towards spectacular pyrotechnics and/or crushing disappointment, but that's the nature of random events. PS. If upon operation of the headlight switch, the headlights both come on AND sufficiently illuminate your passage, don't bother buying a Lotto ticket - you've used all of your luck virus.

I've watched a lot of car related stuff on youtube. Lots of them spout the "built not bought" mantra... but once you've watched a bit of Binky it kinda rings hollow when the other guys say it.
@@andersjjensen I found B is for Build at the start of his 240Z project but after Binky. I was most unimpressed by the bodgeness of how little Datsun metal was retained to accommodate the BMW V10.
Finally catching up with everyone else and obsessing over Project Binky. I must say, I am absolutely flabbergasted that you actually used zip ties to mount that fan to the radiator. I thought for sure I was in for a week long bracket fabrication for that one. Keep up the great work gents!

I have been following since “I think episode 18-19” the one with the companion boxes And have watch this, escargot and bargain racement faithfully for a couple of years now. My kids are both finished Uni and I'm close to retirement and Binky is close to being finished, just having fun this has been an amazing build such craftsmanship.
So how many more patreons would you need to close down the BOM workshop and just do project cars on YT full time? Because this once-a-month upload schedule has made me realised I am a binky addict and I NEED my fix weekly.

You guys are awesome, I bingewatched 20 episodes in a day and a half. Love it when you drop a new one! A better, less flammable way to check for leaks is a dye and penetrant kit. Super easy and you can just weld over the stuff.

I was thinking about the same. You see that billet center console? Holly knee breaker! WHY? The fill the hole in roof method, the re-route of lower radiator hose ?, yikes. I guess they have lots of aluminum handy and for the love of over engineering it all.
