YAY!!! Finally after 2 weeks waiting for ur trip report. It's the first time you fly with a wide body jet during the pandemic, right? Anyhow, while I watching ur trip report now, I was doing my exam, I did science (biology and physic) this morning, and now, I'm still doing my English exam LOL. indeed! My first wide body during this pandemic! Yep Qantas domestic is almost back to normal now, except for its entertainment. Haha i don't mind Mr Wong, but if somebody says Jayden, I'll go 'awww'😂 I hope you did well in your exams!!
Great video! I’ve watched several videos of Qantas Premium Economy on the 787 and one question I’ve always had is that when you use the foot rest, does it lock in place at several positions? Or will it only set in place once it reaches the low point? I flew Qantas PE on the A380 earlier this year and one great element was that the foot rest would lock in place in several positions- in my opinion it’s fantastic feature for those with short legs. But this was on the old seat design. Thank you!
Yep the footrest locks and only moves when you lift that button underneath the TV. So the 787 footrest is more flexible than the ones on the older A380 in terms of how many positions it can be locked at :) Not too sure about the refurbished A380 though, it seems like they’re similar
Great vlog Jayden ! Btw Jayden what is your obsession with coat hooks ? Lol 😂 What no back of the bus ? Did u sanitize your seat before taking it ? Jayden your opinion on the return of the 737 Max to service ?

I'm happy to see that the MAX is back to service now, personally I'd give it a go like I did for Malaysia Airlines in 2017. I might be a little scared but once in the air I believe I'll be fine :)
That’s an airbag seat belt btw, which needs to be “ARMED” by fastening it in the buckle :)) The lavatory at Doors 3 is a disabled pax lav, which opens with a key that is stowed in ******* lol it is a secret 😂
I bought it from ebay: Mens Watches Luxury Quartz Watch Casual Slim Mesh Steel Waterproof Sport It was my friend's eBay so was trying to support him :)
How awesome you got to fly on a 787 for a DOMESTIC flight! I wonder what the chances of that are here in the US? Coast to coast here is about 6 hours across the continent and about 4 hours north to south. I'm pretty sure it's the illusion of being in a larger aircraft that makes the flight more enjoyable; the seats are pretty much the same on wide- and narrow-body aircraft in terms of comfort and space, I think. Nice that you got free alcohol offered. I find it hard to believe that detailed cleaning was done if such large items were missed. I haven't flown since the onset of the pandemic, but I stayed at a resort at the beginning of November, and friends have stayed at other places here and there during the year. The supposed "COVID cleaning" is not at all detailed, even though extra fees are charged. I think in general, not much attention is being paid to real deep cleaning. $294US one-way seems to be a very reasonable ticket price. By the way, great hair and shirt you're wearing! 😉
A lot more chances apparently, even now, if you to hub to hub like American's LAX-ORD, United EWR-LAX etc. I recently saw MIA-JFK on an AA 777, business one way USD200, when Qantas Brisbane to Adelaide on a 737 business (similar distance) is USD500😩 But I'd still rather fly within Australia for now haha. Thanks Britt!!!
@@JaydenWong In November of 2001, I flew aboard UA 744s on ORD-SFO-ORD. Return was supposed to be a 777, but there was an equipment change. I think they were most likely positioning flights between those major hubs. It was exciting - no more 744s on domestic routes here, ever. 😪
@@JaydenWong No, during the boarding process you can hear a background audio of the “I still call Australia home” song and I’m assuming it’s the new boarding audio?
Masks are required indoors in Victoria which had 3 months strict lock down. Otherwise masks suggested in NSW if you can’t socially distance say on public transport. We have basically eliminated the virus in community spread. 1 case in NSW today first in 4 weeks for the nation. Closed borders and community compliance to lockdowns the key. National effort.

That’s an airbag seat belt btw, which needs to be “ARMED” by fastening it in the buckle :))
The lavatory at Doors 3 is a disabled pax lav, which opens with a key that is stowed in ******* lol it is a secret 😂
That's what I thought after I watched the safety video, but no one put it on the arm so I just forgot about it😂 Ok I will keep that secret in mind😂
@@JaydenWong as soon as the belt is fastened by pax - it arms itself :)
why was there a cargo plane parked at the passenger terminal?
Not too sure haha, thanks for watching!
That was really quick
Just curious. I had a short glimpse of your watch. Really nice. What brand is it?
I bought it from ebay:
Mens Watches Luxury Quartz Watch Casual Slim Mesh Steel Waterproof Sport
It was my friend's eBay so was trying to support him :)
@@JaydenWong keep those flying vlogs coming. miss my annual retreat to aussie. hope the border will open soon for international travellers. stay safe.
Nice trip report use B787 for domestic 👍👍
thank you Aldy!!
@@JaydenWong you're welcome😊😊
Love your shirt JW
thanks mate!!
Are you going to fly the, trans Tasman bubble once it opens?
Cheers mate thanks 👍
thanks for watching!!
Finally a wide body aircraft!!! Btw do you need to pay extra money for this seat or it's the same as the normal one
nope! free for economy passengers!
Hey Jayden, nice video! Did you check if there's free wifi available on board? Possibly needs to pay.😂
nah only 737 and domestic A330 have wifi. No wifi for international flights and planes. Thanks for watching!
This 787 was used for the London to Darwin repatriation flight.
prior to my flight it was New Delhi to Darwin :)
hope they cleaned it out before you got on?
If you were going to New Zealand 🇳🇿 after the borders open what places would you go to in New Zealand 🇳🇿?
all over the country!!
Its nice to see a wide body on a domestic flight especially during these times and a Premium Economy Product as well.
thanks for watching! I'm glad I was able to review this one for you guys!
We took this plane in the inaugural 787 Antartica flight!
oh that wasn't too long ago right? how was it?
Did they change the boarding audio?
you mean the script?
@@JaydenWong No, during the boarding process you can hear a background audio of the “I still call Australia home” song and I’m assuming it’s the new boarding audio?
wow great video, im so jealous you get to fly, I have not got on a plane for 11 months
and now the 4th wave in HK😭
Wot? How did I miss domestic 787 flights?
oh no!!!
What are the face mask rules like in Australia? I’m from the UK and it seems strange that many people are not wearing them
Here in Australia there are very few cases, with most states having none
Masks are required indoors in Victoria which had 3 months strict lock down. Otherwise masks suggested in NSW if you can’t socially distance say on public transport. We have basically eliminated the virus in community spread. 1 case in NSW today first in 4 weeks for the nation. Closed borders and community compliance to lockdowns the key. National effort.
Enjoyed watching mate ☺👌:)
thanks Windell!
Hello my name is joey
There was a plane whent from Darwin to new gen then it disappeared
Man I love your obsession with coat hook hahaha 😂
😝 thanks
Fresh fade 🙌
haha a bit messy though😂
the boarding music was so relaxing!! btw, was the shower in Darwin free or do you need to pay? :D
i believe it's free!
Is the JW shirt your own brand or just a coincidence?
I was about to ask the same thing ?
JW for Jack Wills :) or jayden wong if you like
Will you take the Hong Kong Express plane from HKG to HKG?
i'm not in HK so no :(
@@JaydenWong ah I see
I want to fly the Qantas 787 as a pilot when I grow up
I'd love to be one of your passengers!!
@@JaydenWong thx mate
This was also my longest domestic flight so far, also with Qantas, but QF843 in Boeing 737-800 Economy Class back on 24/2/2019
🤩🤩👍👍
thanks for watching!!
@@JaydenWong Your Welcome 🤩🤩😻😻👍👍
It was 42c the day you landed. 43c the day before. Hottest two days ever in a row outside summer. Horrible.
and hottest November night on record!!!
As always, good video Jayden 😁😁😁
thanks Gary!!
I envy you, you are happy people, in the period of the global coronavirus madness, you have the opportunity to fly and travel.
thanks for watching Tim! Hopefully once it's safe you'll get to fly soon!!
我對於評論區的那個Vi Ng已經徹底無語了
😂
It would have operated a Covid repatriation flight to Darwin then operated as domestic flight to Sydney
yeah Mumbai-Darwin :)
I was there on a ferry to Manly exactly a year ago. I miss Sydney, and the ferry so much
Yay you mentioned KLIA! Hello from Malaysia. I can see KLIA from my house.
it was my first time, was gobsmacked by the view!! Thanks for watching :D
