    I have a 2007 Sienna and had a misfire. I thought it was a spark plug or coil and bought a inexpensive scanner. It said P305 I believe. front plug. I changed them but no luck. Then watched some Car Care Nut videos and found broken wires to a front fuel injector. Soldered the wires and all fixed. Don't let the wires touch, you will damage the computer. Great video. I'll refer to it if I have a problem like yours.

    I just finished replacing the 6 spark plugs
    This video is very honest to tell the viewers that the biggest challenge is the removal of the 3 bolts( one 14 and two 12) behind the air intake. I had to lie on the engine(with a thick cardboard underneath ) to gain access to the 3bolts.
    After the replacement I do not bother to put them back( except the throttle one). I think the air intake is already sturdy enough with the 4 or 5 Allen screws
    Good luck

    11:05, awesome trick to switch fuel injector 5th and 6th, so this way if you have to replace one of them, you have it in the front to replace it easily without taking out the manifold again. I´m gonna use this trick in my Toyota sienna 2002 which is very similar the process to get into all the fuel injectors.

      Oh Yes. I was thankful I did so, since it was the fuel injector I had to revisit.

    Great diy video … I have a 2005 sienna .. no issues with my sienna yet but like watching your sienna videos … good diy trick to diagnose fuel injector caused the misfire … how did you reduce fuel pressure before switching fuel injector 5 with 6?

    • @projectfixit
      @projectfixit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the compliment! Good question on relieving the fuel pressure. I left that out of the video. Sorry. Before I started the job, I pulled the fuel pump relay and tried starting the car for about4 seconds. I figured this would remove the pressure out of the lines and seems to have worked well.

      @@projectfixit Thanks for responding about reducing fuel pressure by pulling the fuel pump relay … i know it takes a lot of time and effort to record and edit videos 👍👏 … I would have changed the coil pack first like you did but I doubted the spark plug was the issue since iridium plugs should not fail so soon after changing them at around 120K … maybe switch coil pack 5 with 6 first but you were on a long road trip …then try switching spark plugs then try injectors switch … probably not the best diagnostic approach from a time and effort perspective but very satisfying for a diyer if it fixed the problem … can’t wait for the injector replacement video - hope that fixed the misfire … thanks again … now I have few ideas as to what do before firing the parts cannon if I get a misfire code on my sienna

    What a fu#cked up location to put the back 3 spark plugs. It's almost like a prank they are playing on the owners. I'm taking mine to the shop
