I got a set of Eufy 2K cameras just before the 4K came out..... of course. But these are even far better than the new 4k with the pan and tilt, outside, solar, and dual lenses. This is definitely the system I will be getting for my Idaho property. I assume that they can also store images/video on the home base since they also can connect to that. If I recall they have a place for a micro SD card for recording, but that seems kind of risky since somebody could steal your camera and all your videos too. I like the fact that you don't have to have a monthly subscription. That was the one thing that sold me on Eufy. PS: I have a Chester Cheetah on the way! I had some questions and man is Alfredo awesome! Not only does he know what he's talking about but he's readily available and responsive. I am going to test it here first and if it performs adequately I will probably drop my cable internet. I plan on using it in Idaho and I will report back with my experience. I was getting from 5 to 65 with my phone so with the Cheetah I should be rocking.
Great to hear you like them and have the Cheetah on its way too! This camera has no SD slot but had 8GB internal storage and yes can store on a local home base too!
I could be a close decision for most people. What I tell people to do is think of all the potential cameras they want and see which brand checks most of those boxes. Having a single brand/system/app is important.
This one is in a place where I don't have a current floodlight or power to so needed a battery camera. I actually have two E340 Floodlight cams. Will release a video of that one soon. Effectively the same thing as this but with AC power and bright led lights.
If the homebase 3 connects with the camera using its own wifi, do you know how far away the camera can be from the homebase 3 and still have a reliable connection? Thanks.
It will vary greatly based on your specific home layout. How many walls, what type of construction, etc. For me its about 50ft. Maybe 75 if going through an open area with just a wall or two.
Will a cellular booster help T-Mobile internet run better in the cell booster is running off the gateway kinda helping each other or is that not going to help thanks for any advice you can offer
A booster can help some but they don't run off each other unless you're referring to a tmobile "cell spot" which uses your existing home internet connection to boost cellular. A cell spot would not work with TMHI. See th-cam.com/video/bboYE4qcfDM/w-d-xo.html
i just tested it on this S340 and yes appears inoperable but i just verified the S350 cam works still. must be a software issue/bug. i'll keep an eye out for new firmware.
Question about tracking, just out of curiosity... if it tracked someone to the far left and behind the tree (no longer visible) , then you came out on the right side or entered the property from that side, would it pick you up? If not, how long before it recenters or resets to the set position?
I figured it should be something like that. I live close to the road and it would easily track people walking up and down the road, which happens several times a day. So very helpful to know, thanks a lot
Does it work of your wifi uses a manual proxy? I use a phone as my wifi using a app i convert the 4g into wifi this allows me 300gb of wifi a month for only 25$ plus 30 gb hotspot the alternative would be me buying starlink which would cost me 120$ a month plus 600$ equipment cost. Only down side to this is some streaming services don't work and any device that doesn't allow a proxy won't work so im guessing this won't work if i can't manually enter a proxy
Do you know if the camera works with the Homebase 2? I have four 2c Pro cameras and would like to install this camera additionally and of course it should also store the clips on the Homebase 2.
@lucasdittmar4298 depends on your settings. For this camera it has a built in flash storage which is the default location. Or you can buy a home base 3 with a hard drive. Or you can opt for cloud based storage.

I recently bought the new smaller outdoor solar powered Eufy camera. Nice not to have any wires!! No issues with it. Eufy seems like a solid brand.

Your the best ...better then wyze cams , which became horrible.
Thanks!
I have no outdoor internet. How many hours of footage will the internal storage keep? To watch the footage do I use a USB cable

Great review! Do these Cameras have friendly facial recognition that way they don't get false-alarm trips from friends and family?
That would be great. I just was talking about that today with a friend.
Hi, i am in doubt about buying this or reolink trackmix. Wich seems to be the better one in your oppinion? Thank you for your time 😊

S series is the sun powered devices and E stands for electric right ?
no, some S are indoor 110v. S stands for Solocam
Good job 👍

I have been looking at this same system. I really like the wired wall cam light it looks trick and has a camera built in.

Would this connect to home base 2
I dont think so but if you already have one maybe just ask Eufy support.

By default it resets to the saved preset position after motion stops (~5secs).
I figured it should be something like that. I live close to the road and it would easily track people walking up and down the road, which happens several times a day. So very helpful to know, thanks a lot
Does it support 24/7 recording?
Yes
Q: for indoor use, can a USB storage cell-battery work?
I would think so, you can charge it via a usb cord
Bam bam bam
Will this work with t moblie wifi like itself without any external router
Yes indeed!
@@NaterTater ok thank you so much I have added it to my cart
Does it record 24/7 or only when there's motion?
you can configure some Eufy cams to do 24/7 but those are hardwired to power. Battery/solar is motion activated.
Question how is this camera working 9 months after testing out
@@ray4us53 great!

At best you'll get 1080 p video though
What makes you say that? I think default is 1080p (or auto) but as shown you can change the setting to 4K

@coreybabcock2023 ah you're talking about metro home internet service not about this camera. Metro might throttle video streaming to 1080p.
