I honestly don't think there's a person in Hollywood better at making a scene look beautiful than him.

I love the beginning of this clip, with Bond and Wai Lin having a spat over who gets to drive. The director took both of them aside, without informing the other, and told them not to let the other get in the driver's seat. Thus, we get this great bit of improv comedy.
Pierce was great Bond, he really was. Every generation usually identifies with the Bond of they're generation, mine was Daniel, but Pierce was a good one. I believe he gets overlooked alot of the time, but he's a good actor

I grew up with Craig (my first memory of seeing James Bond was him getting his balls smashed), but I actually prefer Brosnan. Goldeneye is my favorite Bond movie.
The top--twin-blades were CGI (for that scene). The rest of the helicopter was real. (And they did it like that, for safety-&-security reasons). I saw the Behind-The-Scenes documentaries for this movie.
Most of Brosman films are pretty underrated. I really want to see more of his films. Its a shame he had a tough life and doesn't probably act thaf much mow.

Ayanjit he is 67 and still acting strong but he has dealt with some tragedies in his life including his first wife to ovarian cancer in 91 and lost his adopted daughter Charlotte to cancer as well in 2013 to same cancer that her mom actress Cassandra Harris died from.

Somehow I missed this one. This is wonderfully filmed and edited. The chase is never confusing, you never lose spatial awareness of the different elements, there are no quick cuts just for the sake of cuts. Someone did their job on the back end. But that part at the end is so cringe. Someone didn't understand how a helicopter works.
Michelle Yeoh I think was the best Bond girl during Pierce Brosnan films. As all the girls appear weak and fragile, as Michelle’s character is strong, independent, capable. She modernised the future of Bond girls. So pleased she won her Oscar as a brilliant actress.
Agreed. There were some other women in the past, like Barbara Bach's XXX in Spy Who Loved Me, but honestly, especially towards the end, really didn't feel like she's practically Bond's equal. Yeoh here? Totally.
This was IMO where Pierce Brosnan really hit his stride as Bond. Teaming him with Michelle Yeoh was genius and this could’ve been a back door pilot film for a spin-off series of her own
@@vex123 , the helicopters blades are CGI. They used a chopper prop to film the low-ground movements and the explosion. It's a cross between practical effects and and CGI, which they managed to pull off nicely.

However, i don't think Bond needs such refinement, he's an archetype. Sean Connery had the raw animal charisma that Roger Moore didn't have, but lacked the class and wit that Roger Moore had. I believe Pierce Brosnan had the perfect blend of both, and he's my absolute favorite Bond. Just respectfully sharing my personal opinion! 🙂
That was exciting as hell. You can tell how hard the filmmakers thought about this concept. The romanticism of them handcuffed together, needing the other half to ride the bike; how Wai Lin is such an equal to Bond despite being this skinny little twig; the frisson between the chinese Wai and white bond; the helicopter being sort of limber just like them in terms of being able to follow them through the city streets. It all combines.
A shame that Bronsan's era was overlooked, I liked all the films. Admittedly the laughable CG doesn't hold up well at all (the surfing scene after he outruns the satellite laser is just comedic) but I don't understand the dislike beyond that.

In one of the Bond books - Thunderball? - Bond is physically sick at the killing and maiming of innocent bystanders when a bomb is detonated in a public place.
This is the best action scene in the movie A bike is more quick and able to fit into tighter spaces Plus the rooftops provide more escape routes Pierce and Michelle made essentially a rom-com here if you think about it

This was pierce's best bond film in my opinion and had several elements of the older films mixed in.
