It seemed like Saban still owned the Power Rangers theme (despite Disney owning the franchise at the time), so Disney likely had to pay Saban each time it was to be used. On top of that, Operation Overdrive saw substantial budget cuts in it's production, a sign that Disney was not having it with Power Rangers anymore. It might have been better and more cost efficient, for the production, to just make a new theme for Adam, as opposed to a remix of a song that they needed to pay royalities for. But that's just my guess, based on what I could deduce and gather
