My brother went to this concert on his own from a small Scottish Borders town - he was the biggest SM fan. He had kept all his concert tickets and this was one of them. Sadly he died in July 2022 suddenly at the age of 52. How could we not play Don't You Forget about Me at his funeral (albeit the acoustic version)? We also played When Spirits Rise and The Silencers (Can You Feel It). He would have loved it. RIP Neil - every SM song holds memories of you x
Why do people post about great bands and music/records being underrated. They never are! They being Simple Minds had immense success, they were never anything else. Just a puzzling comment when you see them. Enjoy Simple Minds for what they were and still are..... breathtaking!

Thanks to the guy I worked with in Millet's in Union Street, Ronnie, who was in his own band. Cause he stood for hours then me and my workmate George McNeil stood in with Ronnie so we could get into this concert in 1991. Still one of the best bands I've ever seen live!
I love Simple Minds live music, sounds and atmosphere are magic, i think they are one of top 5 music band of music history with Pink Floyd, the Doors, Iron Maiden, Beatles....

Love U2 but Simple Minds are way better overall, personal opinion and both superb bands but Simple Minds live are sublime and their diverse body of work from Life in a Day to Walk Between Worlds is beyond compare. Last two U2 albums? not to my taste.

They were probably better than U2 until the Joshua Tree. After that forget it. Simple Minds are hugely underrated and criminally overlooked though.
