We are using made up labels to let us describe people instead of just LISTENING. You do not have to agree. When we have an overwhelming amount of stuff we want to say with multiple unbiased perspectives, it can cause us to repeat things and run in circles. We might be questioning things we say as we say them. Why label it as manic? Who taught you that? We are humans, we are not perfect. We are not going to talk as if scripted because we are not machines.

Gotta love these armchair psychologists and their baseless nonsense.
Humans have done this for as long as we have existed. It's perfectly normal to try to make sense out of life. At some point or another, everyone does this. This trend of attributing everything to some kind of "mental illness" and stating that they need "help" is the real problem, particularly when the person stating it is not in a qualified position to do so and thus have no idea what they're actually talking about.
The most ridiculous part is that many of the people saying this nonsense in the comments are teens or in their early twenties, with virtually no life experience. Yet, here they are trying to dish out advice to others. The absolute arrogance.

This is not a sign of someone mentally unwell, but someone developing their morals further. This is someone expressing their inner thoughts to the public and many people at many stages of their life have a lot of struggles they don't discuss to the public that are by far worse to bottle up. Why feel bad for someone who seems to developing a more in depth moral code in their life? I could say I feel bad for you, in misunderstanding the message, but that would be condescending af.

My issue with all of this, isn't the religious aspect of it, but the assumption that everything that happens in a given situation is the work of god, or god trying to send a message that encourages us to stay in the situation.
What if god wants you to go to therapy and understand yourself and why you feel the way you feel?
There's a cognitive shortcut that's being taken here, where instead of questioning our own actions, we're, in a way, justifying them using the idea that it's god's plan.
There needs to be a genuine consideration to the possibility that god is not, in fact, telling you to stay in a relationship with somebody who lied to you, but is rather trying to teach lessons of self-respect and moral consistency.
I trust in your analytical mind Coconut, challenge it, don't give it shortcuts.

Trying to help someone with depression and suicide takes a great toll on ur own mental health. I had a friend in school whose family was really messed up and bc if it my friend would pick arguments over trivial things in school. They didn't follow basic rules, blamed others for their problems, and often accused others for being out to get them. I tried my best to point out the positives, to b a voice of reason and compassion. As I spent time with this person and the negativity they held I started to take on some of their negative thoughts and actions. I'd argue over minor things, blamed ppl when I did something wrong, and overall just became miserable. We had a blow up where I said 'u r ur problem! I've tried to help u see the good things in ur life, that not everyone is out to get u, and yet u still refuse to see all the signs that r around u. If everyone is cruel and everything goes wrong what is the common variable in all those situations? It's u!' I pointed out everything I had seen and had to finally say that our friendship was over. It hurt so much to tell my friend that they were not only making themselves miserable but myself as well. During this time I had kept from them that my grandpa had cancer and bc he was in another state I couldn't go say goodbye b4 he passed. We lost contact for a few yrs, reconnected and spoke for a few months, but now we never talk. What I learned from this is that u can't fix everything/someone all the time and that u can't fix anything/anyone if u urself r broken in some way. Take some time away from social media, let urself feel all the emotions u have, and if u think it will help talk to a therapist or someone who can help u analyze everything ur feeling in a healthy way.

Man this video has been racking my brain. There is so much I want to say as a Christian and a fan. The most important by far is about case of abuse. I think you may have realized it already and may have already apologized, but trying to get a women to go back into a dangerous situation is not okay. You don't have to live with those consequences if she gets back with him. She is a victim, and our first goal should be protecting victims. The church (in my experience) has a good way of turning victims into the guilty and the guilty into the victims. It may not be the case, but reflect if it was your own insecurities about the situation that really made you push her on this. Now if you're still reading I got some advice to a new believer.
Firstly read the gospels front to back and back to front. They're so important and question anyone who tries to contradict them. If you haven't read Romans read romans as a whole. It's the best full picture of the Christian philosophy start to finish. I would stay away from the book of Revelation with a ten foot pole. The answer "no one knows the day or the hour" should be a sufficient enough view of end times. Jesus's parable of the Vigilant Steward should also show us how we should handle it. If you're still curious I can find a book I read about the four different views of Revelations. But it's not light reading and the popular interpretations are fairly new and I personally disagree with a lot of it. Hope you can find the way brother.

That isn't fair to you, and I'm sorry you went through that. Sometimes we just gotta' accept that people do shitty things and that we can't help them. I hope eventually, with time and maybe therapy you're able to let go of those feelings, or at least feel a little lighter. I’m glad he clarified his opinions more but what does the title have to do with it? He still has a career and channel, isn’t being silenced by anyone but instead a lot of comments are showing concern or at worst cracking a joke about this whole situation. There are plenty of very popular Christian content creators who are very outspoken and read excerpts/stories from the Bible and give their interpretations (like wendigoon or thelordsgiant for examples) so I don’t get why he kinda lies saying he was cancelled?

If you watch the Weird Bible podcast Wendigoon does with Lore Lodge and look at the chat (or at least the one he hosted on his own channel) it was filled to the brim with vitriol and hate for the Bible. He has even commented that that's what he gets hate for most. Point being that while I agree it's not actually cancelling, for someone new to the faith like Coconut, this probably feels like he's getting cancelled as Idk if he's used to this kind of criticism.
In case I'm missing some context, this is the first video I've watched of his in like 2 years (title caught my attention).
Regardless, Christian TH-camrs can still absolutely have a career without having to hide their faith but they will always deal with hate, especially if it comes out after their rise to fame.

God rescued my wife and I's marriage from ending and the Lord played a huge roll in redeeming it. It took hard work and faith but we are now in the best place we have ever been. We wanted to encourage you with a few scriptures; Jeremiah 29:11-12, Romans 8:28. God bless you in your journey of life, my family and I will keep you in our prayers. @@czproductions He can use this channel to promote the other channel. I've seen many TH-camrs do that and they have no issue. Redirecting your community from your first channel to your second one isn't the same as building a community from scratch. If there are people in his audience who are interested in his religious content, they'll subscribe to the other channel. If they aren't interested, they won't. By posting the religious stuff on a channel that was meant to be for DbD content, he runs the risk of losing subscribers because they don't want to see that religious stuff in their feed. And those who do stay subscribed won't watch the content anyway. I mean, it's clear from the comments that a lot of people clicked on this video solely out of concern for his mental health, and not really for the religious content itself.

Many of us have depression in our genetics and I'm unsure if OCD is either but yeah it's not going anywhere. If they've had it their whole life basically it's just stuck with that person.

Bringing a specific religion into a space where a diverse audience of people with many nationalities and relogious or secular experiences was always going to rub people the wrong way. Getting cancelled was always a highly likely outcome. I personally am someone who has suffered at the hands of the christian faith, but I have many friends who life that faith, and they are some of the best friends I could have ever asked for. You were not wrong to post the video you did, nor this video here, but if what you say is true, that you are new to reading the bible, just know that it comes with a unique set of proplems that you will have to come to terms with and/or dance around when you quote from it. It's a very old text written by a lot of different people from an age long ago, those people didn't always understand what was going on in the society around them. However, some of them did and they were so good at knowing that some of the things they wrote into that Bible still hold up to this day about how society functions and how people interact with each other.
I am happy that you used this medium of TH-cam to talk about your problems so that it could help you in your time of pain. I came here to watch YOU because I think YOU are interesting. I like how you made the previous video, and I liked how you made this one. Love you coco. Do what’s right for you. Focus on growth. The best way to feel a sense of worth is to get out of ourselves, but if we don’t focus on keeping ourselves grounded and healthy, the impact we make on those around us will change. We feel our motives change only after it’s too late. Always stay true to what you know, but never forget to take care of yourself and love yourself. People disappoint us, they hurt us, they abandon us.. the only thing constant in your life is you! I agree with your sentiment to a degree about people being placed in your life for various reasons, if only to teach a lesson on how to let go. Sometimes things happen down the road, sometimes ten years after you see someone for the last time and as crazy as it sounds, you think of them and remember something kind that they did that subconsciously stuck with you and helped shape your life in a positive way. While I’m not big on dogmatic theology, I’m all for something that inspires them to be good. It’s not my place to question a persons character based on their religious beliefs. Sorry for rambling, I just smoked out my last two brain cells. Process things in a way that work for you and help you grow. It’s refreshing to see the person behind the videos. Life is strange

I appreciate your vulnerability Coconut. Your experience reminded me of my experience with coming to know God. The heartbreak I felt after a relationship paved the way for me to come to know God better and feel His love. At the time, I didn’t understand why it happened, but in Isaiah 55:8, God says “for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways”. Though the experience was hard, I’m grateful for it. I wouldn’t undo do it because I came closer to God, and felt His hand in my life. When I read the Bible and Book of Mormon (I believe the Book of Mormon to be additional scripture given from God’s prophets), and asked Him if these things were not true, He confirmed to me the truth of those things. I believe God communicates things to our spirits, witnessing the truth of His teachings to us in a way that we describe as feeling. When we read His word, we invite His Spirit into our lives.
In any case, thanks for sharing Coconut. Remember those feelings you felt. They are things to be treasured. Even if other people disrespect your experiences or feelings, God gave them to you in an act of love.

So you said you were in a relationship with her…even though she was married…but separated for 8 years?
Religion is something that should be personal, and not something you should preach to others about.
And there is no proof of any god, if there was we would all follow that truth. Instead we follow scientific proven ways. And you think you can be THE one to prove the existence of god? This is why you got so much feedback, because it was clear you were not mentally well. And I still don’t think you’re thinking straight.

Glad to hear you see the reason why this person was in your life. God does move everyone into each other's lives to ultimately bring us closer to Him. Its an intersecting roads and paths that lead to the end of acknowledging and accepting Him, and choosing to be in a relationship with Him in everything we face or not. Til the end of the road. Feel free to reach out if you need any interpretation of situations. Life works in His hands, and He gives us things to do His will.
Romans 12 is the summary of what a Christian is.
Born again happens after the acceptance of God's sacrifice on the cross and belief of the risen Christ(1Corinthians 15:1-4)
That feeling you were experiencing was the Holy Spirit guiding you towards His will. Right and wrong, do this or that, understand what God's word is saying. And God's word is Living. It separates body from soul, and divides soul and spirit(Hebrews 4:12).
Once saved always saved, God purchased your soul with a price on the cross(Ephesians 1:10-14)

Hey @CoconutRTS! I've been watching your videos for a long time even though some might be strange for others.
I like your openness to tell about these experiences. I have personally had a very similar experience and sometimes it's better to just let go at a certain point with depressed people, because they are like a black hole that can take up all your stamina and efforts. Let them seek professional help. Many good advises just end up on closed ears.
I'm grateful, that you came to end up with a world view full of empathy and love, although you might have risked annoying many viewers/subs..
God truly comes through dispair and I hope you take all those nice stories in there as inspiration for your own wellbeing in the future ^,^
