    I CANNOT WAIT for having my Move 2. It's just perfect with the 24 hours replaceable battery and the stereo sound. That's a win for me and one excellent reason to increase my Sonos ecosystem. Thank you Sonos. You're the best.

    I have a Sonos Move and I'm quite happy with it overall, it just tends to lose the network connection a bit too often and resetting the router just to use it for an hour can be a hassle. 😢

      I have a pair and they are a pita if you actually roam with them - they hate new networks and to take them as a stereo pair to another location usually means a factory restart and set up. Not convenient. They do sound nice when they do pair on your travels.

  • @ijchua

    5:48 this is incorrect. The first generation Move has a 36Wh battery and this one has 44Wh, so it's not double. But they must have made optimizations to extend the life.

    I would like to know if a pair of move 2s can be stereo paired over Bluetooth?
    This feature was absent in the move and was noteworthy, since cheaper speakers have had this feature for years. JBL, Bose, UE all do this at lower price points.
    If Bluetooth pairing is possible, (and since the move 2 is reported to have stereo capability in a single unit), do they simply connect in sequence, (with each unit providing its own left & right channel), or can they be actually stereo paired, with one unit providing left and the other providing right channels?
    This feature is good for traveling away from wifi networks, such as camping or the beach, and is an obvious feature for higher end Bluetooth speakers.

    • @smarthomesounds

    I have two Move Gen 1s for the patio (coming up on bonfire season with the chilly nights). The wifi reaches out back so I stereo pair them. Honestly, sound quality so often comes down to EQ (available in apps like Wiim) and acoustic surroundings that I wouldn’t upgrade for such a high price when I have what I have.
    However, if I didn’t already own one (or two!), I would see the higher price tag as worth skipping the Gen1 option altogether.

    • @SaandMaan
      @SaandMaan ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you sure of that? I can use blue tooth on both era 300s and use the sonos app simultaneously while in blue tooth. I'm 99% sure the move 2 will do the same.

    • @matthewkrueger4757
      @matthewkrueger4757 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SaandMaan I contacted Sonos directly and they did confirm that as of now, you can not connect multiple Move 2's over Bluetooth. They did say some phones can push to multiple devices at once, but I've never been able to make that a stable connection. Maybe its a me problem. Other brands (like JBL) have you connect your phone with one of their speakers, and that speaker sends the signal to the others. I'm hoping the Move 2 will be able to do this with a software update, but that sounds like wishful thinking sadly. All that said, to be clear, I'm a fan of SONOS.

    DO NOT BUY- Good sound quality but difficult set up and connectivity issues. Wort thing is that after a couple of months the speakers will not connect to the app and you have to use the app to listen to any music. Just trashed over $1k in speakers and customer service did not respond for months after the 5 speakers I had bought had been in the landfill. Buy anything else that connects directly with Bluetooth.

    The green is a lovely colour, I would like to see the same colour charging base.
    The upgrades are good enough to warrant a new release and the obligatory £50 premium. Love the fact you can charge a phone great for camping… although I’d take a roam or boom camping over this. Good to see the Bluetooth and WiFi upgrade. Battery change is a win… maybe longevity is a key talking point now. That’s big in the audio world.
    I’d really like to see the google issues resolved , they just need to put it behind them and kiss and make up.
    Keep up the great work guys.

    I'm looking forward to seeing how good the stereo separation is considering is all running of the one woofer (havnt listened to the era 100 for comparison). I also like that sonos seemes to be looking into replaceable components like the battery which should see the life span of the speaker improve over the years. I don't have the previous model but I think it would go very well with my current home setup and also for taking it to work for some low music to make it more sufferable. Less charging and the double tweeters made me sold on this model than the previous which is cheaper but oh well, I surely wouldn't regret the decision. It's Sonos after all.
