There is absolutely nothing that these guys could do wrong the rest of their lives in order to lose respect of every fan of fighting. This was 2 guys putting a show on , hurting each other to the point of being able to plan awesome positions and securing those positions long enough for them to hurt and still get up and keep fighting with precise shots. This was incredible display of talent.

I don't know why he choose this fight with Connor honestly. A lose from that and he is not nearing a tittle shot for another 2 years. And in 2 years from now I don't see him doing it either, because he would be much older and piled up more damage to the head : making him even less resilient.

This fight changed the trajectory of Hookers career. I don't think he will ever be quite the same fighter. Porier took a lot of damage as well. But he was able to recover and come back stronger
this was one of the best fights in the history if thr lightweight divison, both fighters left the cage with years taken off their career, and life from the damage they both took, all for our entertainment
It is a brutal sport and don't forget, it is how they make a living so the intention is not all to entertain us, but to make a decent living.
people say poirier took more damage. but after the fight poirier went on to joke about 1 more round and do interviews while hooker wasnt able to say a word and was immediately escorted on a stretcher.
