nah not really this is a bit hard to watch, hooker couldn't even respond to poirier in the end when they were talking. theres a point where id rather the dude just get knocked out then just keep getitng the shit beat out of him
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who loved those standing hammer fists 😭 everytime I watch this fight I replay that part and the end of rd 2 at least 5 times 🔥 such an underrated fight
To me it just shows how comfortable Dustin is under fire...a lot of people would be defensively panicking but hes so calm he finds just a tiny opening for a creative attack
Dan vs Dustin is my all time favorite fight. It was just epic. The lockdown era of ufc was savage. You could hear everything, punch, kick, walk, even their breathing. And then ofcourse this era brought another realization of the horror of the fight game in the form of Justin vs Tony. The fact that you could hear everything drove home the fact that this is really a blood spot were the journey to one man's death can only be interrupted by time or one other man. Yeah, that one I will never watch again.
@@wreckitrigo230 It was a war but it got uncomfortable to watch towards the end as Hooker started fatiguing while Poirier still looked fresh. It’s hard to explain but it’s just not fun watching the momentum get to this point.
Such a brutal fight. The COVID no fan era of fights was nasty because you could hear every punch and kick so clear, and this was the best fight of that era
Fun fact: Dustin actually said that he was unconscious for second or two at the end of round 2 after that knee, and you can actually see that Dustin went limp before his back touched the cage there, 2:48. Probably my all time favorite fight in any fight sport.
I'm not a Poirier fan but now i think about it, Dustin is truly the most entertaining lightweight. Hooker, Connor, Chandler, Gaethje, Oliveira. every fight is so fun to watch.
I remember watching this fight at the pub at the time. We all commented that this would be life changing for the amount of damage taken during these exchanges. To hear those shots and to hear how excited and also concerned bisping and dom were during the fight, showed is how savage the fight was. Dan hasn't been the same since, and even dustin avoids those massive fire fights now. Much respect to both fighters. epic
Weasle was on point with this fight, Hooker didn't come back in the third round, the end of round 2 was the last time we saw him, and if you notice he's much faster and on point in this fight, his jab was accurate, nowadays he looks slower
This is a fight that I seriously think is one of the UFC’s top 10 fights. And the fact is that not many people seem to know or talk about it. This fight is something seriously out of an action movie.
Epic fight and i hate to say it but given the fact that there's no crowd its alot easier to actually hear what really connects. we need more mics inside the octagon!
Those covid fights were some of the best, no crowd noise you can hear every brutal strike that lands and the cometors going crazy. This one is up there with Mcdonald VS Lawler
Really? You type in Dustin Vs Dan hooker and you instantly get the full fight and the highlights. I'm guessing you never looked for this fight or couldn't spell their names correctly 😂
Im here because someone commeted about how loud and scary these hits sounds. The crowd suppresses the hits dramatically. This is a completely different experience!
I come back to this fight from time to time and all I can do is thank Dustin and Dan from the bottom of my heart for this performance. Both are equally incredible for withstanding so much and taking this fight to an utter violent, yet beautiful, level. I hate to make this comment too long but what makes it so much more intense is hearing each shot land, hearing the breathing and also hearing everyone's reactions of the strikes of each competitor. It wouldn't be the same with a crowd.
Dustin’s longevity and consistency makes his nickname SO fitting..

This fight is amazing, but it is legitimately hard for me to watch, the beating Hooker took in the last 3 is just soul crushing
Shame most fighters don't get the respect they deserve cause God damn the amount of heart it takes to endure that is ridiculous
