“Embracing Entropy” ended up becoming one of my favorite tracks from ‘Machines of Our Disgrace.’ I wrote it early on in the process and was having fun reconnecting with some old drum machines, gritty guitar tones and more extreme panning effects in the mix. The song ended up with one of the more memorable vocal melodies on the album, so that brought all the elements together into what I felt perfectly represented Circle of Dust in 2016. - Klayton
Machines of Our Disgrace marks the 5th full-length studio album for industrial music pioneer Circle of Dust, after a near 20 year hiatus. Created by artist/producer Klayton, best known for his multi-genre project Celldweller, Circle of Dust returns to Klayton’s industrial roots with metal riffs, pulsing electronics and catchy songwriting.
Klayton pushes the envelope of fusing modern metal and electronic production with gritty industrial noise & samples on Machines of Our Disgrace, while incorporating both aggressive and melodic vocals with thought provoking lyrics about man’s technological evolution. Songs like “Contagion” and the title track “Machines of Our Disgrace” question our relationship with technology while “alt_Human” and “Neurachem” explore the world of biohacking and genetic modification. The tracks “Hive Mind” and “Humanarchy” provide commentary on man’s place in modern society’s political and scientific moral ambiguity. The emotionally charged “Outside In” shows Klayton’s softer side in a heart-gripping track with lush harmonies, acoustic guitars, pulsing sound design and introspective lyrics.
Machines of Our Disgrace is the album fans have been waiting for the last 20 years and is sure to stand as one of Klayton’s crowning achievements. In anticipation of a brand new album, Klayton remastered and re-released the entire Circle of Dust back-catalogue in 2016, featuring the albums Circle of Dust (self-titled), Brainchild, Metamorphosis, Disengage and a side project titled Argyle Park, each originally released in the 90s.

only klayton can have a song made by klayton but also featuring klayton as a guest.
zoomoo318 He did the catering as well.
Klayton cubed.
LOL. do you think scandroid and celldweller would do a collab with c.o.d. as well?
brad spitt they kind of did, cell worked with scandroid on breakout, and the deluxe edition of end of an empire featured a circle of dust remix of it :)
At this point I think even he doesn't realize he's doing it..
Wow I thought this two guys didn't get along. Glad to see them working together!
Nothing wrong with Circle of Dust being the project of the same musician as Celdweller is?
its one person Klayton
its a joke dude
I very often don't get along with myself either, but I'll collaborate with myself quite a lot... and that sounds wrong.
Known this guy for a while yet only two weeks ago I realized Celldweller Scandroid and Circle of Dust is made by the same person
[KLAYTON INTENSIFIES]
Two choruses in one song with two personas that are actually the same person. Mind = blown.
Listen to Sybreed - Doomsday Party, you'll like it. Same thing, just 3 personas being the same person.
"The ground has given way to instability, so long solid foundation and hello anarchy"
What the fuck, these lyrics. Too good.

It's an awesome feeling to suddenly recall a long lost band from over two decades ago (Circle of Dust), and find not only their original stuff but that Klayton is still making music today.
Music is essentially a time machine for us all, allowing us a window back to where we were when we first heard it.....good and bad alike. I swear it feels like yesterday that my high school girlfriend (who listened to various Christian rock groups) introduced me to Circle of Dust. It opened my mind to an entirely new type of music that I somehow related to, despite an overwhelming majority of my friends calling it "noise".
Circle of Dust (and everything else Klayton and Trent Reznor) taught me the value of being unconventional and, above all, doing what you love if for no other reason than you love to do it. Circle of Dust and Nine Inch Nails aren't "noise"; to me, noise is society subtly and not-so-subtly telling you who you should be and how you should act. Conforming for the sake of conforming is the path to extinction.
Thank you Klayton for providing the inspiration and strength some of us need to break free from the mold society would just assume we are all made from.
I can very well relate myself with all you two said , I always was let say "outside" respect most of the people I know (even now I have very few people I can call friends ,and they are mostly weirdos like me in some way) I was told to act more like the others or otherwise I'll be alone and sad...well guess what society, I always was what I wanted to be and I'll always be that way ...I rather prefer be alone and sad but being myself than full of "friends" happy but something im not ...would be lie to myslef for the sake of others and that kills individuality and that is very bad...without individuality society is nothing more like a bunch of zombies and I see that this is ,sadly, very true even today, expecially today where if you dont dress/listen/do/think what you are told is "cool" then you are a loser and will get discrimianted for being different, as if being different is something bad, I much more prefer to say I am ME and I'll always be me no matter what!
@@shadowprincess9817 my mother and brother keep saying that I listen to noise , yet they love playing religious prayers at very loud volumes. As a logical man, I give them the finger and call them hypocrites.
"Conforming for the sake of conforming is the path to extinction" - excellent quote, I'd extend it a little to include the following ", but diverging for the sake of being yourself is the path toward salvation." There can be divergence in conformity.
This has just become one of my favorite tracks Klayton has ever made. Perfection.
Source of prof pic?
It's from Down in Flames lyric video.
Same thing here! Although, now I Can't Wait to see what the new Celldweller album has in store.
absolutely!
Can we appreciate how cool this lyric video is
Hell yeah!
klayton is like a one man army
Hold on there Klayton, I'm still trying to absorb Scandroid. There's just too much good music! HALP
We're all drowning!!
Relevant in the current year of 2020
Trent Reznor has officially been demoted to 'lightweight' status. Great job, Klayton!
@GeForced Im a huge fan of NiN and anything clayton. However i must admit trent has been putting out garbage since hesitation marks, this track is perfection.
Reznor hasn't done shit since Downward spiral. That was his last good album
Это божественно. Вообще альбом получился очень годный. Круто, что проект снова жив.
Thanx, Klayton. This album is so fucking awesome.
Dope
"No man could tell what tomorrow may bring."
Really reminds me of Disengage!
My dad loved this in high school, the only thing we listen to when it's just us 2
This gives me a ton of old Command & Conquer vibes. Tiberian Sun comes to mind, most notably in the intro.
Actually, I'm also getting Mick Gordon-type vibes from this. Not sure if the vibes are more Killer Instinct or DOOM, but I'm feeling like it's a bit of a mix.
When I saw featuring Celldweller I had the biggest belly laugh of 2024. I love this ❤
This one has a Nine Inch Nails vibe with more melodic vocals that are distorted as this has some of the Celldweller sound as well as the previous project. This track is pretty damn cool.
Circle of Dust biohazard logo has to be one of my favorite music logos of all time!!!☣︎
1:27 love that whole sequence
love the whole song ...btw, hello fellow Warframe player !
Elco Ekins Warframe and Klayton, win
after 3:50 is my fav part
Before 6:54 is my favorite part
Klayton - Klayton ft.Klayton (Klayton remix)
Yep, legit.
Jk, gotta love the klay ^^
Thank you, Klayton for this song. I will stream the new album on bandcamp, and have my own listening party. Hehe. God bless. Stay strong. :)
Wow!!!!! Stuck in 2020!
Scandroid remix would go hard 🔥
only Klayton can feature himself in his own song, and make it work.
The same person combines the two best bands to create the perfect track.
Circle of Dust is how I found Celldweller, glad Celldweller led me back to Circle of Dust
So this essentialy is industrial meets Prodigy meets Celldweller. An insane amalgamation of genres which Klayton somehow seamlessly blends together. I'm enjoying the album greatly, it's been a fantastic end of the year music-wise :) Here's to an even better 2017!
And, as a side note - I really hope we'll finally get that elusive I Will Never Be The Same album next year, the wait has been way too long, and some of the teasers Josh has been posting sound fantastic!
Scandroid remix incomming.
And don't forget Blue Stahli remixing too (preferably on Contagion).
Remixing the Scandroid remix
EariosRandomness We have a Celldweller Remix now. And it sounds awesome.
And FreqGen reprise after that
@@antimaterijaYT Can't wait to hear "Circle of Dust - Embracing Entropy (feat. Celldweller) Scandroid Remix [freqGen reprise] Klayton Mix"
1:27 and all of its repeats are my favorite parts of the song. The rest of the song is great too, of course, but something about the way he sings 'My system's in decline, embracing entropy' just really gets to me.
The buildup of the kick starting at 1:38 makes that even better. To me at least.
Cool. Классно, очень хорошая песня.
I love how their voices sound together when they sing harmonics!
I'm addicted to this song
YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAA BOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIII
Thought this C.o.D thing just isn't me. Looks like I was wrong... this is fucking amazing!
Combining this with "Into the Fall" is like a more meta version of "Stay With Me" and "Unlikely" from the first Celldweller album
Entropy will always triumph.
omfg...what a fkn masterpiece this track is...KLayton in my opinion the best producer worldwide...absolutely genius!
Klayton is a true Renaissance man. I'm waiting to see him drop a rap or country album next! LOL ;)
Also great song, love this merge of modern Circle of Dust with Celldweller style
Feels like a modern version of "Chasm", even the synths
Really digging the new CoD logo there
Dear Klayton , this is gold on a musical level. The fantastic build up and release is ironically creating a sense of lift and unchainment rather than a shutdown. (Perhaps in defiance of it?) Either way , this should be praised for its subtle elements that keep the song completely balanced throughout.
Celldweller 4Ever
It doesn't matter what Klayton does....it touches my soul in so many amazing ways!! Thank you for existing, and your parents for creating you in my lifetime. Long time listener, and I will always be a huge supporter of your work! Keep inspiring :)
Lucky for Circle of Dust that Klayton hooked them up with Celldweller for this track. 😂
Fucking excellent. Klayton is a musical genius.
This is really good, even with the retro sound it's a solid track.
Perfection
Good job, Mr. Klayton. You have done a lot of work during your musical career and have come a long way. For 15 years now, your music has been playing in my headphones.
This is the collab i didnt know i wanted, no really, i didnt know.
хорошая музыка !!!!!11!
I'm not much of a metalhead so I actually prefer this to the aggressive vocals that are normally in CoD's music.
The best karaoke session ever!
This is Definitely my second favorite song off your new album Klay. Again I'm very glad you got all your rights to Circle of Dust, was long awaited to hear a new Circle of Dust album, you made it worth our wait. 😁
isso é muito bom
My dad seriously got me into this song so much. I love it so freaking much!
Thanks for the great music as always. Cheers
2:32 yeaaaah
Start reminds me of Mortal's Enfleshed from Luisis....Cool!
I was thinking the same thing. I have all Mortal's albums. Fathom is my favorite! I'm glad that they did not limit themselves to create music because they were in Christian labels. Let art be art. :)
Yes Fathom is my favourite too! Hope they do a comeback - Nu En Jin was great..but for now i'm loving this new C.O.D album....just awesome!!!
Great song!
Damn this is hella awesome
Я люблю эту песню ❤
One of my favorite tracks from the record.
My absolute favorite song from circle of dust so far.
sick lyric video, love the animation
I've been beyond words to be given an opportunity to create content for Circle of Dust. I grew up listening to Klayton's work in the 90's.
very very gooooood! *.*
I love the new logo. I have always had a thing for the biohazard symbol. You rock, Klayton!
I only found the copy of this AMAZING album this morning -
Had been missing unlistened to for a few months ( I bought the Brainchild album back in the 90s aged 23 ish when Ministry and NIN were my favorites and it has been one of the great albums of my life ,
BUT THIS ONE TOPS IT .
PLAYED IT BACK TO BACK 5 TIMES .
Going to put it on again now -
But at low volume - it's allmost midnight and my kids have work in the morning while I can go nuts all night - day of leasure tomorrow.
Awesome song Klayton! always love your music! keep up the great work! :)
Badass as ever man. I'm eagerly awaiting your next release....
Tremendos temas los uso para el Breaking

Zytharros where are you seeing fidget spinners in this video?
A fitting mod track for Unreal Tournament 2004...
I already bought Neophyte from its original album... but I'm buying the full Machines of Our Disgrace anyway. Too good to resist!

Amazingly.

Epic song cool that Klayton have so many projects
Celldweller is so lucky to work with Klayton.Maybe some of Klayton's genius will rub off on him

loved the song and the video even more
NOICE!
i would love to hear your songs in more games like zombies in call of duty or maybe some sci fi games ;D
Dude, it's amazing!) you are the best!
Well done as per usual!
I hope this gets uploaded to one of those music apps like "free music" would be great tbh
I've been writing a character recently who has the problem of reality glitching out around him. I feel this song fits him really well, as he's currently trying to take command of this and make it into an asset rather than a hindrance.
Also, source on the voice clips saying the stuff like "chaos, confusion, panic..."?
EariosRandomness if I remember correctly, Tracer from Overwatch has a similar problem. Something about having to keep some tech on her at all times or else she fades out of time/reality. Someone else feel free to correct me if that's wrong.
If it is still relevant or people are searching for it, the quote: "...now. Now all I can see is chaos and confusion and panic." is from this: th-cam.com/video/9KyS91jDUTo/w-d-xo.html&t=153
Yes I was embracing entropy for a very long time....
This is too good. I have actually had panic attacks thinking about the eventual heat death of the universe.
