    I chose limited. Have all the features as platinum except, rims, full sunroof (I don’t like that) heads up display which I had on my Denali and it was more distracting so I didn’t need it. I have rear warming seats in 2nd row. To me save your money and go the limited and make sure you get all the features you want in it. Oh the full overhead view is nice but not needed if you know how to drive!

      Great choice, Tina! I think I'd choose limited as well :)

    I have ordered the AWD platinum model. It also has the auto leveling head lights you failed to mention. I like the rims better, and the panoramic sunroof, which is not stock on the limited. It is a Add on. Also, it has folding side mirrors which I don’t think the unlimited has at all or may be an add-on.

      Congratulations on your order! 🎉
      The configurations are dependant on location, my video is showing the Canadian version :) thanks for sharing some of the stuff that's available at your local Toyota dealership!

    I chose Platinum. Because of the full sun roof and Because it has better rim designs than the limited

    No hybrid. It does not save $$ at the end. I had one for 8 years. You piad more upfront, save some gases but at the end, the cost to change thr battery will cost you more than you think. I thought that battery cost would go down after a decade. But i was wrong. Btw, i just bought a gas version of Highlander and average gas mileage is still around 23 mpg.

    The heads up display is cool. JBL--not sure I could tell. Don't care about heated 2nd row seats. The wheels look equivalent. The mirror is good. Probably not worth the money.

    Go for a 2022. The 4-banger is a joke compared the legendary V6. Toys are cool but not really important. Nothing matters more than the thing that makes the thing go. Just drive both and feel/hear the difference.

      I've been very impressed by the added torque that the new 4 cyl turbo provides! Have you driven both?

    • @twintippedweez
      @twintippedweez ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ToyotaAvery Yes. I drove a '22 and a '23 back to back to back. The '23 with the 4C Turbo was zippy. I'll give it that. But it felt and sounded just gross & mismatched to the frame when I pushed it hard. That was with just me and the Toyota guy in the vehicle. No full complement of humans, gear, or towing. The V6 in the '22 felt strong, confident & quiet. Just superior. My understanding from reading up on it was that Toyota made this change for one reason only - emission standards. The engineers didn't think it would make a better end product (negligible MPG gains). The customers weren't asking for it. Toyota's hand was forced. Higher temperatures, higher pressures, more parts to wear out and break, and more issues in colder climates. Who would want to be a first-gen adopter of anything let alone a big purchase like a new car?
      I'm all for lowering emissions and taking climate change seriously but let's be real - we're all on the slow march towards electric only. Toyota is Toyota and this new combo of car and engine(yes I know it was on some Lexus models previously) will probably do better than average in terms of reliability for a Turbo. But someone was going to drive that '22 that ticked all my boxes so it might as well be me. This is just one more example of "they don't make em like they used to" and there's proof in the fact that the used market for V6 Highlanders jumped in price immediately after Toyota announced the change. I just want to encourage folks to experience the difference before dropping big money because I'm very glad I did & ended up with the most refined version of one of the most reliable engines ever put on American roads in the V6. Plus, anyone can fix it. I don't like shopping for cars so I don't want do it it again soon. I can say with confidence that I'll drive that V6 into the ground.
      I should say that this is all for gas only cars. The hybrid was on my radar until I learned how long it would take to get one in my area and how tight the used market was. I just didn't have the luxury of waiting.

      If I lived in Ontarario I would get the hybrid. Gas is insanely expensive there.
