Thank you!! This saved me so much money to install myself (local stereo shop was quoting $800-1050 for different models). I appreciate the detailed step by step!
Would I be able to get into the settings of my car through this unit like I'm able to with the factory unit? To change the vehicle settings,(door locks, chime function, etc...)?
I got the same model, the only issue is the seatbelt sound, turn signals door open aound are all gone, can please share if you found any solution for this.
With the model I bought all wire assemblies where all plug and play, the back of the new unit has a unique type plug for each thing you have to plug in, so you just have to match up the plug types on the back. No wires had to be spliced or soldered.
Not currently, the unit has a bunch of settings and I'm still looking into how to get them all online. biggest one is you can't hear the turn signals running.

I also bought the same unit. Did yours not come with a speaker? All chimes and indicators work through that external speaker.
Please can you also explain how to connect the wires because you miss that part.

How is it holding up?
Good so far about 3 months in, Apple car play works great on it.

@@gouldaero4601hey, did you manage to find how to find the sound issue ? The turn signals ?
Found it, you need to connect the small speaker that comes with it, and it will work, as the old one had it integrated
Positive side off?!?! No! You take the negative side off! Doing that can fry certain Electronics.
Always take the negative side off first
