- This was a last minute decision to record the steps to my install of the 10.4" Android Radio for my Gen 1 Cruze.
It was a dark and cold night when I did this install so I apologize for some of the poor lighting in the video and again this was a last minute decision to record it so the production of the video is meh lol.. however I'm sure you will understand what needs to be done to complete the job. - บันเทิง

How does the GPS work. Seen reviews on the 1g ram version and all say it is rather glitchy.. Hoping the 2gs of ram helps this issue as I'm about to purchase.. Thanks in advance. Great vid 👌
Great video. Did you get this to work with the backup camera that came with the cruze or did you have to buy a new one?
I never had a camera in the car and I never ended up getting one for the car.
Just ordered also but mine came with a camera as gift but me not knowing I ended up buying a camera also but the price went up! Mine was like $359

No, I got it all in but when I hook up Bluetooth or Apple CarPlay, my music sound doesn't play at all but when I put it back on the radio, it plays perfectly fine
I'm having the same problem, please respond if you find a solution.
If the unit you installed is an Android, then your apple stuff will not likely operate correctly on this device. Perhaps there is an interface app, or an update that allows the communication between the 2 platforms. But if not then you need Android devices for proper functions
If your Bluetooth isnt working, then you may need to download a Bluetooth driver app which has more device codes that it can apply to recognize your devices
Could you do an update or talk about how the screens works now.
I have a non-backup camera car.. but I installed a factory trunk camera with full wiring harness.. and I checked, the main harness has the factory camera wiring.. to tap into this.. where and how can I do it up front?.. there of course is no RCA jack up there to plug in to my head unit.

Have have a similar unit for my chevy trax, same screen layout but I can't getting any sound from movies only sound from the radio. Amyone know how to fix this issue?

My 2016 holden trax has only three main harness from the oem.. it seems the camera line is integrated either in the three connectors… looks like i have to rewire the camera

Hello there.. got one these for my chevy but the wifi didnt work.. so i factory reset it and now its working ok.. but the information for the car speed engine speed and car doors opened etc dissapeared from the wallpaper.. do you know anything on how i get them back to wallpaper?

Hello! I installed this same head unit as well and absolutely love it. The only issue I'm having is that the built-in microphone is kinda weak... Anyone I call while driving says that I sound very distant/quiet. Have you experienced this?
Yes I have the same issue which is making me want to put my stock one back in just for that reason lol
@@Dickie0515 yeah, it's so frustrating since being able to make calls easily with CarPlay and Android Auto has been really nice, just unfortunate that no one can hear me.

What changes happened? Did you lose the “Ding Ding Ding.. “ Sound with the opened door as well as the 4flash lights and the right and left lights?? as mine and converted to “toot teeet…” behind the screen?

If it does have a factory backup camera, how did you get it to work on the aftermarket unit? That's My only headache..hoping you or someone on here can help out. I appreciate you, bro!
How do you get the wheel controls to work I'm having the same issue with the cam
If you have connected the harness plugs as required, there is no faults in the wiring or harness, but still do not have steering wheel button controls, then you can likely set them up through the settings menu, there are many options, which also include sub categories. Look things over carefully to be sure you have the correct options turned on. Hope that helps
For the camera, if your vehicle was not equipped with a back up camera function, then you will likely need to run a new wire for power, and new ground wire. The power wire should be tapped into the reverse lights wiring so that it will activate the power to the camera once you enter reverse gear. Side note, be sure to use the proper gauge wire, and it may be a smart idea to use a fusable link between the reverse lights line and power to camera line.

So I did everything in this video and about 8 others over and over and when I switch the key on my tesla style screen just STAYS BLACkK. I'm being told my model may be one that has the premium sound system and that would include an amplifier in the truck and one guy said that there's no clips provided to go to the stock Amp and power the system. Is this most likely true?
Does anyone know how to reset the radio since I changed the screen resolution and now the screen is useless. I tried the reset button on the left of the screen didn’t do anything

Everyone please be careful taking off the silver panel by the shift, I didn’t know how too and just broke off my temperature knob and now don’t have any heat

From my experience you Can Not control the Heat or AC with the Radio because our vehicle uses an actual turn switch to operate 😒 if it was digital we probably could.
I can't figure out where the chim hooks up at. I don't see a place on the stereo to hook it up
I honestly forget where mine plugged in at but I'm guessing it plugs into a wire that came off the stock radio.

I can't bring up the apps list or Bluetooth music screen. It worked the first 20 minutes but now i can't click on the apps icon🤦🏼♂️ the tablet itself comes with a few songs is there a way to delete them? How can i fix this issues please

Do you hook up the red wire to 12v power and the green (key 2) wire or just the red one?
Mine was completely plug n play so there were no wires to hookup to get power, I just plugged the appropriate plugs together and it had power.
@@Dickie0515 mabe those 2 wires just twist together to turn the factory amp on.

Go to the settings menu and click on the car settings and click on original car settings.

I just ordered an Android Auto stereo for my Chevy Orlando and the seller messaged me separately and said that I need to purchase a canbus if I want to enable my steering wheel controls.
Cost $15 extra
I have everything plugged in but it’s not turning on did that happen to you too
Nope once I plugged it all in I tested it before putting everything back together and it worked perfectly.
What if you have a factory back up camera already
From what I have seen and have been told they are compatible with the stock and aftermarket backup cameras but I would still look into it for the radio you are going to purchase just to be sure.

Unfortunately I don't have the radio anymore so I'm not able to show you.
How did you get your navigation to work?
I plugged in the GPS module but won't connect.
You need more hardware. (Internet for one) There’s a lot of stuff he missed...the link to the onstar box under the glove box, the XM radio antenna wiring so both can still be used... honestly this android unit is awesome and the book that comes with it will help you more than this video. But for everything to work and all the hardware you’ll need it’s gonna run you about $800-900 at best.
Not to mention, CarPlay which is a monthly sub.
@@seannykraynak I hooked up my mobile Hotspot. I get 30GB a month and it works great I have GPS, and internet for TH-cam, Spotify, PlutoTv and any other apps.
Where do u hook up sub to ? Mine doesn’t have rca sub out just audio out and aux
Sub connects to an Amp and the Amp hooks to the radio through the rca cable.

Did you finally get it?
You need to get power from the reverse lights wires, that way, once you enter the reverse gear, the power engages to the camera. If you try it any other way, your reverse camera will likely be on full time. Side note, be sure to use the right gauge wire, and it may be smart to add a fused link from the reverse light wire, to the power wire that goes to the reverse view cameras power line. Or, check the fuse rating for your back up lights, and check fuse ratings for your reverse view camera, add the 2 numers together, and install a fuse to the reverse lights terminal that is equal to the number found by adding the 2 numbers together.
Just installed and the touch is backwards, it’s not calibrated and resetting does nothing
Will my existing OEM camera work? Is there a way to hook it to these radios?
As far as I know it should work as they have a spot in the back of the radio to hook up a rear view camera.
@@Dickie0515 I just got my radio today. I'm willing to bet that yellow plug is for an aftermarket backup cam. I dont think my OEM cam is going to work. I'll update when I find out for sure.

Hi I am having issue with sound (no sound) when i play radio. Someone on youtube mentioned I have to tap blue wire into blue/white wire to get the sound. I hear sound only when I play music over bluetooth or call but not sound when switch to radio. Please help if you have any idea.

When I'm on Bluetooth or Apple CarPlay, there is no sound but the radio sound works
This is an Android unit, so the interface between Apple and Android is lacking communication properties. I would search for an interface app, and for a Bluetooth drivers app, to hope for better recognition across platforms. Or switch to an Android device to get better results for your radio / Bluetooth functions

Yes it does have hookups for a system.
My Bluetooth isn’t working right, it connects but it does play any music at all
I'm having the same problem
If your device is recognized by the radios blutooth functions, you should try to adjust the volume on your device, then adjust the volume for the radio unit. If that doesnt work, then there must be another setting in the radios system features, look very carefully to find the correct option. Also, there may be a seperate volume feature within the radio for connected blutooth devices. Perhaps you should also check for a mute function to see if that is the cause of the issue. Hope you figured it out

I brought the same unit camke with a 3 page manual i installed cpuz on the unit shows android 8 and 1 gb ram instead of two .......sat nav voice is really low but if you go into factory settings then usb there are volume settings in there too havent sorted it out yet but still looking you can change the volume for calls aswell in there it might help
