Bought my first w140 about a week ago and I'm still learning about it. Holy crap dude your channel is amazing I literally have to save all of your videos to a personal playlist
I believe there is a 'paste' to be used to improve contact between regulator and surface, and I put a couple drops of light oil on the fan shaft to keep her turning smoothly, FYI.
You got the 3.4L diesel engine , Nice Nice, i got same w140 with the diesel engine and I'm converting to run on WVO , dual tank. Now i need to change my blower motor regulator.
When i took the plastic cover off on the under side of it there was a rubber hose attached and the other end didnt seem to have a place for it which way should i face that rubber tube? I got the blower working but air only blowing through the defrost and some of the side vents and i feel like this tube is the culprit
Yes, I believe I know what you are referring to. There is in fact a sort of loose ended hose coming from the Driver side -> Blower motor cavity. However, I don't believe that this could be affecting your issue. The vents and in general are controlled by the pneumatic (PSE) pump and by manual shutters found under the center stack vents. I would recommend playing around with the: Up, Up+Down, Down blowing options on the climate control settings, as sometimes the shutters can get stuck or the electronic system can lag out. You can also perhaps check the fusebox to see if the automatic climate control fuse is blown. If you are getting good pressure from the defrost, this would suggest that your blower motor is working fine!
Hey, I would recommend it. As mentioned in the video, the part I had was faulty and nothing beats OEM new old stock or even used parts as long as they are functioning. I wouldn't recommend wasting time on cheap Chinese imitations
No, I haven't had that problem. Could be a vacuum actuator that opens the valves...maybe your cables that control the opening/closing came out or snapped...
Just fixed my ‘95 s500 with all the help from this video! Thank you for the concise and to the point tutorial!!!

There was no 3.4L for W 140, just FYI 😉
Nice video... my blower motor is a bit noisy... is there a way to quieten it down? I'm guessing the bearing are getting noisy?
Hey how did you remove the centre dash panel?. The one that pops up on the top that's above the central vents? Thanks man!

Yes, I agree and noticed the same thing. Unfortunately these cars are full of electric gremlins that one has to deal with... :(

Where can you buy climate control?
Always start on eBay or PeilcanParts
