I think Cubase its rare to see someone making rock or metal music in Cubase. I really appreciated this video series. We as a band Use Cubase to record our music (rock and more)
Great video Mendel. Great example, fantastic sound and tone on the project chosen to demonstrate the use of the brickwall limiter; thank you for sharing.
Great tool, when used accordingly. Also reminded me first URM vids, where Joel Wanasek put L1 on everything to get it "under control" straight out of the bat ha ha
Don't take me wrong, art is opinion, mine is, it was better untouched. Original had the drive and slap your face attitude. It got boxed up to much, but I get that some may want it and you did a great job showing how to get it.
Very insightful use of the brickwall limiter, thanks! By the way, which drum library is being used here? And since you asked, I´d like to see a video talking about drum processing, if that´s possible. Thanks in advance!
Here is Mendel with his usual receipe: some good advice (although i liked more without limitter) and some killer riff that makes you give a damn about limitter. I don't know; it sound like a drop C? Maybe a tab in the future. Good job
Hi, great video! What is the profile do you use for those guitars? I see you have two tracks per left and right channel. Would you make a video how did you blend those tracks in the mix please? Stay heavy!!
Hi Mendel! May I ask you something? It seems to me that you are using a kind of pen tablet or pad to control the Cubase DAW? Kind regards from Austria, Igor Pomykalo
this series is probably my favorite out of all the Cubase tutorials i've watched! definitely would watch more videos like these :D

That bass is tight! It seems to be where the limiter shines the most!
The last video changed the way I work and gave me much better results. Finally the pieces are coming together....it’s not just a metal thing either

I really use a LOT the multibandtransientenvelope to shape the drums. That plugin is awesome !
Perhaps my favorite Cubase stock plugin...Used with care of course
Hello bro your drum sound is soooooo goooood can u upload how u mixed

would be nice if you could make a video of how you use your Intus pro with Cubase!
Maybe i am too noob but i think it still pumps too much. It sounds like a sidechain compressor with a hughe attack affects the guitars
Riff is nasty. Thanks for this video!

God this is an insane mix
Hey Mendel, could you comment on what you're using for Drums, Bass VST Instruments and Guitar Tone (e.g. Kemper?)
I think he should have recorded his original instruments
There's a Kemper just to his left so it's safe to assume the guitars are coming from there.
@@siriusfun If you watch the first or second video in this series he explains his Kemper settings.
Interesting. Never thought a brickwall should be used on individual tracks. I always thought that was more for mastering!
Sounds awesome dude,.well juicy and heavy.
Very insightful use of the brickwall limiter, thanks! By the way, which drum library is being used here?

Absolutely great! Thank you very much.
Sounds great!!
amazing sound

Jup! Wacom Oen Tablet: Saves me from RSI and my wrist!
You use virtual Drum or virtual Bass or all instruments recordad in these tracks are real?
Genio!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is he using a tablet as a mouse? if so, does anyone know how to set one up for Cubase?
It’s the Wacom Intuos S, recently upgrade to the Pro S. Cubase works amazing with it, if you have any question let me know.
@@Mendelian very Interesting. I have Wacom PTH451 Intuos Pro. I need to give it a try. Are you left-handed?
@@Mendelian Thank you. I will give it a shot
Chekad Sarami lefty indeed
Goed bezig Mendel!!! ;) Ik heb je op mn Instagram toegevoegd, Greets, Jeroen Simons, Independent, ex- Epica.
I can't hear audio in TH-cam when Cubase 10.5 is open. Please help to solve problem.
release audio driver check-box setting at Studio Setup
Actually the brickwall almost destroys the bass tone and makes it a little bit distorted.
I was affraid i was the only that sees that way.
@@costinnovac6092 I was afraid the same thing.

You are not really telling us what you are doing - what buttons you are turning
Not a real bass. Vst. Real bass would be more transient.
