The 2.5L Diesel engine on Roxor is actually derived from an old International Harvester tractor engine and has bullet proof reliability. People in rural India love this engine for its torque and reliability.
It was mostly loved in high ranges and mountain valleys and hilly terrains, its big brother pickup hauls 3 people thick 7 feet trunks ,with barely enough seat for the driver, getting up and down hills and lumber mills. They stay fit for a long time if you take care of it, but most people ignore and they still survive for 15 20 years untill its new owner restores it😂
Watching that Roxor pull those tractors, shows you what a REAL off road 4 X 4 should do. The Roxor is pulling those old tractors with ease and ample power. No screaming of engine, no abuse of machine. That is the way an off road vehicle should work. NO Jeep would ever do that without excessive modifications and hopeless crap added. The CJ, YJ, TJ, Wrangler should have had a diesel motor like that years ago. Anyone who has had one of these Jeeps knows the problems they had. The electronics, mechanicals, drive trains have been a nightmare. You can see why Jeep is trying to block the Roxor from being marketed in North America. No the Roxor does not have climate control, cruise control, autonomous driving. It is a basic hard working vehicle. With some anti rust metals you are looking at an ( almost ) forever vehicle. A Roxor owner will not be back every year to buy an other one...........but his friends, and friends will. I am speaking from experience, I have had several Jeeps in years gone by, all of them were JUNK, surprisingly the same number of letters as Jeep, so now we know Jeep for JUNK. Considering a fully loaded Roxor would sell for $25k ish, and a Jeep Wrangler would sell for 60K+, which one would you buy? Oh by the way, GREAT video!
Towing is the strong point of the Mahindra Jeep. Nearly a quarter of a century ago I bought a brand new Mahindra Cj4 with a 2.1 Peugeot Diesel. Only covered 28.000 miles in 5 yrs. Used it mostly on the road, engine very economical. Sometimes I used to tie 5 classic cars together and pull them out of the garage. Then Govt in Malta started raising road tax of anything over 2000cc astronomically and has been sitting in the garage since. It's a great Jeep.
The heavy duty chasis, diffs and propeller shaft that you mentioned in an earlier show comes into its own now that its all raised up. And with it raining on your ranch it just looks the part in every way and someone was right mahindra should be complimenting you with some goodies (free beer atleast)👍

Such is reliability that for years it purrs and digests workloads on daily routine ... no matter in whatever weather conditions.

@Jimmy Owens several people are in your situation, but mainly because people didnt know they existed for the longest time. I think marketing is finally getting out there and people know more about them
Mahindra Thar Di, which is named as Roxer in foreign markets, could pull much bigger loads than these tractors ...that too at a speed of 40 to 60 kmph... most of the Genset rental guys use Thar Di for pulling 125 kw gensets with 6 cylinders engines and heavy alternators attached.
