Everytime I do a new playthrough and get to that point on Johnny's memory I cringe so hard since I know for a fact that all of it are just how he fantasized it went down but in reality he died like a fcking random NPC.

Do you remember any of trash mobs you flatlined while you fight your way through Arasaka to get to Mikoshi during the Fear the Reaper ending? Did she? Not sure about that. Most, if not all, her friends were netrunners. When she notified people what Bartmoss had done, the list of people she told were Edgar, Dog, and Dana (Firestorm: Stormfront pg 144). Sure she helped/worked with Rogue, Sliverhand, Thomason, Blackhand, and Shaitan, but does it make them friends? Granted the person(people?) who can answer that is Lisa Pondsmith (who created/played Spyder as a player character ) or Mike Pondsmith (who included her in different books).

My main point, anyway, was that she was just a kid messing with corps on the Net who ended up on a suicide mission. A lot of people died in AHQ, even if the main characters seemingly all survived

Yes Alt and Bartmoss did some runs together, but Spider really doesn't mention any relationship with Alt in Rache Bartmoss' Guide to the NET. Spider is mentioned to talk with Alt after she was soulkilled which could have evolved to a friendship with Bartmoss being the shared link. Of course this could have be retcon by CDPR. Something to ask Lisa Pondsmith about their relationship as those are/were 2 of her Cyberpunk TTRPG characters.

I'm not an expert but i'm pretty sure arasaka has the original copy. Spider murphy slotted soulkiller to turn johnny into an engram, but she disnt get to pull out the shard because adam smasher was attacking everyone leaving it with Arasaka.

Man, what a fantastic video! The last ten minutes were like a roller coaster ride! I knew Kei had been convinced to commit Seppuku, but I thought I had heard it was by his father because of how he "failed the Arasaka corp and the family." I had NO CLUE how it actually played out and how it ended. That blows my freakin' mind because of the implications. And the stuff regarding Angel is just WOW. I genuinely hope this is all the intended cannon and comes together in Orion. My dream plot for the sequel could totally be built off this theory! I watched this earlier today so I've had some time to sit with the idea of how I'd like to see the story be built off this theory and man I love what my brain came up with, lol. Imagine all the pieces falling into place for V to reassemble the gang. "Angel", Spider, Blackhand, Shaitan, and maybe even Johnny depending on if they take that route. Or THAT could be the end game goal, along with trying to stop all out war between humanity and rogue AIs. Maybe Spider finds out Arasaka backed up Johnny's engram somewhere. Sensing shit is about to go down with the Blackwall and the threat of rouge AIs looming, she contacts V and the two of them go about tracking everyone down while working towards getting to his engram. They make contact with Angel eventually to find out she has been saving a physical clone of Johnny on ice for just the occasion. Originally before PL I wanted to see the sequel have Takemura and V being recruited by Michiko to help her toss out the old Arasaka guard to make room for the new, allowing for actual positive change in the corp and the greater world. Major oversimplification, of course but having finished Phantom Liberty that idea just feels underwhelming with how the EP wrapped up. The "Michiko/Goro/V" dream team definitely can't hold a candle to seeing V and the 2023 crew just wrecking some rouge AIs along with Arasaka and maybe some shady agents from NetWatch during their journey to find Johnny again. I do still expect Michiko to play a bigger part in Orion somehow, being it seems Mike Pondsmith seems to take a particular interest in her and appears to have set her up as someone who could be significant opposition to the old Arasaka way if the conditions are right. I suspect he has plans for her, for sure. Plus, she has ties to the story of Black Dog which could be used to tie her into this plot. And sure Goro could come along for the ride as her new bodyguard lol. Being left disillusioned with Arasaka, it probably wouldn't be hard for Michiko to bring him around to being fully on her side, making him a valuable resource to V and the crew as an informant and set of eyes close to the top people in Arasaka. Who knows, maybe what with V's condition post PL leaving her vulnerable and being along side some of, if not, the most powerful characters in Cyberpunk lore it'd even give CDPR a reason to let Goro have a fight or two in with all his implants and abilities active, lol. Ultimately he could feel he still owes it to V to keep his word about helping her, and sees this as a chance to make sure it really happens now. Michiko feels responsible to help V as much as she can too, being just a far more decent human being than the rest of the fam ever has been while also being aware of just how much Arasaka could have helped V, if only they had actually cared to. She feels she needs to right some of the wrongs her family committed. Not because she was responsible, but because she knows she would have the ability to if only she was the one calling the biggest shots. I dunno, my mind can go running with lore predictions or just coming up with my wish list of plot lines so I probably overlooked 100 different things that could completely dismiss this as a plot, but let a girl dream lol. It'd be so rad to see everyone interacting with one another, seeing how their characters would react to each other and how they worked together as a team.
Something I discovered recently on my own time is that the girls from Cloud a Spider Shaped Serial Buss tattoo on they belly button area. I often wondered what did Spider Murphey do after her young days of Cyber Terrorism with the Silverhand? She must have surely bneing a damn great Netrunner, must have made programs for those willing to pay a pretty penny for her code. Clouds, I am guessing, hired Spider Murphey in order to make the CLOUD Doll Programs they use! Can somebody tell me if that Spider Serial Bus tattoo is in fact evidence of this, or if it's just random coincidence? I would surely like to believe that it is not coincidence in a game that was fully developed with a bunch of easter eggs in it, and having given a full history to many characters! Yes, johnny's end is not the same in the TTRPG as it is in the flashback in Cyberpunk 2077. I figure that's just because he has such an ego he has to be the hero. And spoiler... Alt is on th enet, or at least some version of her.
I think it's because Arasaka used him as a guinea pig to see how much they could edit someone's memories and personality. He had an ego, sure, but he went out very heroically to save his friend. The Johnny we see initially, before he merges with us, is a very selfish person. It's unclear whether engrams can rewrite themselves, but I imagine if they can, they would need programming knowledge to do so, which Alt has and Johnny does not. So, I think the discrepancies are the result of Arasaka experimenting on Johnny.
@@Kyronetta In the TTRPG, he consciously makes a decision to engage Adam Smasher to buy the rest of the team time to run in a very obvious, "Johnny" manner. He lasts about 2 seconds, one of which is Adam Smasher giving him a WTH stare.

This is definitly reaching, and little more than baseless speculation, but there are only 2 major characters i'm aware of in 77 that 'overtly' share the same voice, 2 who are also both keen on symbols. Spider, and Misty. There's no other connection i'm aware of but its always tweaked my gut instinct that Misty may be spiders daughter. Despite 3k hours in the game, i've never remembered to check if she has a surname on her emails to jackie. Probably bunk, but a testament to how the universe is designed to tweak us onto these things

Problem is CDPR is way over there heads with this game. The "2.0" update is basically just the launch version. I like Cyberpunk but man they must hate working on this game. They already announced after Phantom liberty no more support for the game outside of bug fixes. This game is beautiful and an absolute disaster at the same time. It's remarkable. I don't see them ever expanding on the lore. Again the really want to move on and I cannot blame them.

I think you could stand to benefit slowing down and taking the time to read out the lore with a little more life. If you continually recount actions, states of mind, dialogue, and body language cues in the characters all at the same tone and pace, it can be incredibly hard to process the information as a viewer. Dialogue especially can be easily made distinct with tonal shifts or visual cues like a sound wave under a character portrait. Keep up the good work!
Second this, great video. Your sentences are good but as a whole the cadence is the same, if that makes sense. Maybe check out random audio books or to see what you enjoy listening to or what you think could elevate your content even that much great. Can't wait for the next video

I play tabletop Cyberpunk Red and I have to say that 2077 did awesome capturing the atmosphere after the time of the red.
Also, I liked the netrunner stuff from cyberpunk because experiencing cyberspace sounded so cool.

This is definitly reaching, and little more than baseless speculation, but there are only 2 major characters i'm aware of in 77 that 'overtly' share the same voice, 2 who are also both keen on symbols. Spider, and Misty.
There's no other connection i'm aware of but its always tweaked my gut instinct that Misty may be spiders daughter. Despite 3k hours in the game, i've never remembered to check if she has a surname on her emails to jackie.
Probably bunk, but a testament to how the universe is designed to tweak us onto these things

This game is better to be build like how God of War is. So much potential just from the lore.
Problem is CDPR is way over there heads with this game. The "2.0" update is basically just the launch version. I like Cyberpunk but man they must hate working on this game. They already announced after Phantom liberty no more support for the game outside of bug fixes. This game is beautiful and an absolute disaster at the same time. It's remarkable.
I don't see them ever expanding on the lore. Again the really want to move on and I cannot blame them.

I think you could stand to benefit slowing down and taking the time to read out the lore with a little more life. If you continually recount actions, states of mind, dialogue, and body language cues in the characters all at the same tone and pace, it can be incredibly hard to process the information as a viewer. Dialogue especially can be easily made distinct with tonal shifts or visual cues like a sound wave under a character portrait. Keep up the good work!
Second this, great video. Your sentences are good but as a whole the cadence is the same, if that makes sense.
Maybe check out random audio books or to see what you enjoy listening to or what you think could elevate your content even that much great.
