I have extensive experience investigating claims of all kinds for insurance companies. I work for many different carriers to investigate claimants ( not just claims). Many states require that all vehicles on public roads be insured for liability insurance, but I am not aware of any state that requires by law that honest and legitimate claims must be paid. Where are the laws about "Insurer fraud"? None? One way the injured, property damage and plaintiffs can handle this is to sue using the Tort of Bad Faith, which is extremely difficult to prove in court. Carriers can just say they "made a mistake" and pay for some damages with no other cost. If a robber holds up a bank and steals money, can he/she retrun the money to the bank and walk with no arrest? Only In California. Once the insured sends in the premium check that money is the property of the carrier. From the view of the carrier, it is their money. Any attempts to take "their" money will be "defended". If you look out wherever you are, the Federal government has regulations on most everything from the rubber in a pencil eraser, to components of paint. Why doesn't the federal government streamline the many state laws on insurance and also assure some fairness in Casualty claims handling? In 1947, the McCarran-Ferguson Act restricted the Federal government from regulating insurance including insurance monopolies. Something to think about?
Even though I’ve gotten older, my car now being paid off, older, and requiring less coverage, me getting additional discounts due to degree and work, I’ve not seen my insurance go down once.

SOMEBODY has to pay for all the
southern border crashers buying
cars with taxpayer funds, and NOT
insuring said vehicles. Taxpayers
foot the bill in BOTH CASES.😠😡. CB
what a bunch of xenophobic nonsense
Thanks for bringing politics into this :-)
No way you’re over 50! Good Maintenance lol.
Why... people don't take care of themselves anymore?
Ummm Today my 19 yr old was quoted 700$ for insurance on a dam kia rio. Progressive was the cheapest about 500$. Thus list is off sir.
