    I have extensive experience investigating claims of all kinds for insurance companies. I work for many different carriers to investigate claimants ( not just claims). Many states require that all vehicles on public roads be insured for liability insurance, but I am not aware of any state that requires by law that honest and legitimate claims must be paid. Where are the laws about "Insurer fraud"? None? One way the injured, property damage and plaintiffs can handle this is to sue using the Tort of Bad Faith, which is extremely difficult to prove in court. Carriers can just say they "made a mistake" and pay for some damages with no other cost. If a robber holds up a bank and steals money, can he/she retrun the money to the bank and walk with no arrest? Only In California. Once the insured sends in the premium check that money is the property of the carrier. From the view of the carrier, it is their money. Any attempts to take "their" money will be "defended". If you look out wherever you are, the Federal government has regulations on most everything from the rubber in a pencil eraser, to components of paint. Why doesn't the federal government streamline the many state laws on insurance and also assure some fairness in Casualty claims handling? In 1947, the McCarran-Ferguson Act restricted the Federal government from regulating insurance including insurance monopolies. Something to think about?

      Insurance companies are out to make money. Fees are rarely ever decreased as you must increase your Deductible and lower coverages or the payout. for example: Deductible increased to $500 (not $250 or $100) and Liability/Injury/Property Damage from $300k/100K/300K down to 50k/20k/50k. Minimal and Basic Coverage to be cheapest or Custom Coverage for a Higher Fee.
      Factors below determine how much you are charged.
      Demographics, FICO Score, Bundled Plans, Driving Record, length of time with current or previous Insurance company, number of Claims filed, Defensive Driving Course, years of Driving Experience, number of drivers in your family/household, the age of vehicle, type of vehicle, safety features, alarm system, your commute to work, and finally your Age.
      Presently, if you purchase a Electric Vehicle, the Insurance cost is higher than a Gasoline engine. There are many reasons why coverage cost more for EVs.
      Oh! having a college degree does not provide any discount. Who told you that is wrong,
      Some people have elected to use Independent Agencies to get the best price. Beware, your insurer will change throughout the years and making a claim might be tough and collecting on it. You'll have the same agent who shops/bargain with insurers for the lowest cost but they too must be paid "get a commission". There are Pros and Cons to having an Independent Agent or going through an Agency.

      Very few will save money by going electric

    • @richscott2483
      @richscott2483 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are penalized for owning a Electric Vehicle. More likely due to high repair costs, failure and fire hazards, toxic fumes of the Battery Pack you sit on, the Gross Weight of the Vehicle is a lot more than Internal Combustion Engine "ICE" or gasoline cars. Road surface damage. Usually the MSRP cost of an EV is higher too. Government and State regulations with extra fees.
      Owning an EV can be more expensive than your Savings on Fuel Efficiency. Also, more difficult to find Charging Stations. greater demand for Electricity the more you pay. Supply and Demand.
      Also, the U.S. Electrical Grid cannot sustain the future of 500,000 to a few Million EV's as it will cause power outages and much electric grid repairs.
      The cost of Charging Stations going to Cost us all.
      There is no significant advantage to owning a EV. They still produce a large Carbon Footprint/pollution to produce a Battery Pack. Disposal will be Hazardous Waste, where will they be dumping the depleted and unusable Batteries?

      pretty cheap. About 120-ish. A sequoia, a 4runner and a Tundra. My monthly payment for all 3 is about 380. CA rate.

    Come on dude it's widely known that EVs are the most expensive to insure. Why not have them on your list. Seems fishy you didn't list them. Why not. Pathetic.
