I had to restart this after 3 minutes in because I was admiring your hair so much that I didn't hear a word you said! 😂😂😂 Thank you for this info and your hair is absolutely THRIVING!!!
Another tip, if I am getting my hair wet for consecutive days, I do a quick wash every day. I only wash with conditioner so that I dont strip my hair with all the shampoo. I wear it in a pony every single day and definitely keep a moisturizer in it. I dont put any oils on my hair bc I feel like oil combined with sun makes my hair very hot and more likely to soak up the suns rays. I'm not sure if I should use oil but I dont. Thanks for your tips.
i don't have a relaxer but I make sure to put coconut oil in my hair generously to negate any negative effects of the saltwater/chlorine and then put my hair in a high bun. Then I wash it all out when I get home.
My hair is natural but I feel like the tips are the same. My hair just brushes my shoulders, so not terribly long. It is also highly color treated so I’m extra careful too. Like you, I think I am part mermaid. We have an in-ground saltwater pool that I spend as much time in as possible but ALWAYS with my hair protected. If the sun is out, I always wear a hat with my hair tied up in a bun or sometimes I might use pin curls. Either way, my hair is up and covered. If I’m getting it wet, then I always apply conditioner before getting in the pool. I’ve read that applying conditioner absorbs the space on the hair follicle making it difficult for chlorine to penetrate. I’ve done this for years and it seems to help. Happy swimming😘
I used to wear a swim cap in chlorinated pools, not the cutest option lol. Do you recommend the resort you stayed at in DR? If so, can you share the name?
OMG I'm Barbadian and I didn't realise you were from here! Lots of love from Barbados!! 🥰🥰 Also, when I was a competitive swimmer as a teenager (swimming 6 days a week), I used Motions CPR treatment every day afterwards, and I found that kept my hair super healthy! I'd wash my hair and leave the CPR on for about an hour. Unfortunately I haven't seen this product for many years now so I believe it may be discontinued 😔
This was WONDERFUL information! Thank you! I would be super curious to know what your follow up routine is for how you wash/style your hair after a swim day to transition into going out! As can be assumed, it can be a bit tricky to carry ALL of the products/ tools you use at home, while traveling! I would LOVE to know what you do! Thank you 😊
Oooh. Great idea. I usually just wear my hair in a bun. You guys must be sick of hearing that. LOL. But it's easy for me while on vacation. I also will wash & condition, put my hair into bantu knots and let it air dry. Once dry, I take them out and rock the waves.
I am in Fl, so i go to the beach as often as my schedule allows me !!! love going to the beach!!!!.so i also drench my hair in conditioner. I also add honey and oil to my conditioner before applying. I like the tip of wetting my hair before too.
Hi dear Epiphanie...Thank you so much for all the details...I do need your help...I do have a long hair but I want to keep it soft before 3 months for ke to relax it again...I will need some advice from you...Thanks i
So I just got K18. I used it once so far. I found that my hair is breaking less. I used it after i used the olaplex 0 . If you decide to use it. Please make a video
I don't swim because I just don't like swimming even though I have a bunch of swimming certificates from when I was young. Because those were classes I had to use a cap but nobody wants to wear that apparently 😂 I don't own clarifying shampoo... should I?
Clarifying shampoo is good for ridding the hair of product buildup. When I use it, my hairstyling is easier and my hair is definitely bouncier and shinier. I am more of a fan of bobbing and frolicking in the water, not so much “front crawl for 2000m”. Lol
I thought I was the only diva at the pool 🤣🤣 I will NOT put my head in a chlorine pool either. 🙃 I'm good. I need to do better with sun protection. I put conditioner in before going on the beach and immediately rinse and condition in outdoor showers too. 🚿 I basically do the things you do. I wear a pony, not a bun. I let my pony out in the water at the end just so it is hanging down straight I and apply conditioner as soon as I get out the pool. My hair soaks up more conditioner if I release it from the pony as I exit the water.
I am cringing for my hair after watching this. I live in East Africa and our water is treated with chlorine so every time I wash my hair or shower I am pouring chlorine over myself. My hair is so dry and I have looked and failed to get a shower filter😣😣
Ok. I hear you. We are chlorine in our water too, but at a much lesser level (you can’t smell it). I go to cities like Toronto and the water smells so strongly of it! It’s definitely drying for sure. Do yourself a favour and get a shower filter! We have reverse osmosis filters to treat water for the entire house too. Not sure if that’s an option for you. Good luck!

Your hair has gotten so long and full! Great tips as usual. Could we please get a tutorial on this hair?
You look gorgeous . The conditioner tip sounds promising. Thank you

Omg your hair looks amazing, love the volume and it's getting long. Please give us a relaxer update ty hun. Love and blessings 🙌 🙏 ❤
Thank you! Will do! You want a “how I relax my hair” update?
@@StyleDomination yes love, I do plzzz. Missing your videos and u look so beautiful 😍. Thank u so much
@@StyleDomination An daily/weekly hair care routine would be great! Your hair has really flourished
What are you doing mainly to grow it out?
@@StyleDomination I agree with all these comments! I would love a vid on these suggestions.
Hey Dom and your hair man !...........made me go green with envy, lovely, healthy and long hair, you are blessed for life!
Great advice, i will try these in the future, I’m a new ‘relaxee’
Growing up we had to wear swim caps which kept our hair basically dry. I haven't seen any recently except for those on swim teams.
I think it’s because we came to realize that they weren’t designed to keep your hair dry. They are more for keeping your hair out of your face.
I like your tip #2 but I would add grease as a final coding to my hair 😂 maybe with a layer of heat protectant underneath but over a leave-in.
Another thing that I do is wear a scarf...it's great SPF for your hair😃😄
Omg. I treated myself to a silk scarf for this very reason! I should have included it. Thank you!

I do this with my natural hair before swimming. I’ve been thinking of going back to relaxers btw.
Girl you are really looking gorgeous. Your hair is really looking good as well. Keep up the good work. I enjoy your content.

I love and appreciate this! Thank you for taking the time to film and share this information!
Hi, have you ever tried a Epsom salt floatation tank? Wondering if it would ruin relaxed hair?
So I just got K18. I used it once so far. I found that my hair is breaking less. I used it after i used the olaplex 0 . If you decide to use it. Please make a video
These are great times for sure. 💕💖. It can be labour intensive but, the benefits out ways the hard work 😃.

Wear a swimming cap. That what I do event when I travel during the summer holidays when I travel with my family
Your hair is beautiful, what relaxer did you use?
Thank you! My stylist uses Indigo relaxer - regular strength.
Stay awesome!
You’re my girl, Blue! 💙
How did you manage to retain your length and thickness ?

How often do you wash and deep condition ???
And what do u do to grow it out so healthy??
I am working on a weekly haircare routine video. I wash and condition about twice a week in the summer because I run and sweat a lot…
Are you wearing a weave? Your hair is looking super thick, long and healthy 😍. If you ever have any hair thickening tips please let us know.
That is all my hair. I’m working on a length and thickness video. Hang tight!
I’m a huge fan of women who swim!!!!
We all are. My mother grew up being told "don't swim, it'll ruin your hair". She never learned to swim! Can you imagine living your life that way?
@@StyleDomination that’s crazy, but I think women who swim in general are beautiful, attractive, and extremely sexy!!!!

Hi beautiful lady 😀😀😀. I hope all is well. I love your very informative videos!!!
If there’s no water sis I purchase a bottled water just for my hair 😂😂😂I don’t play that. I tend to walk prepped.
You are looking younger as time goes by.
PERFECT. Thank you!
You’re from Barbados? So you’re an island gyul
I sure am! My Mum was born there. I was born in England. We still visit Barbs often!
Ok I know your hair is beautiful but can we take a minute for how fit and toned yet very feminine your body is. Body goals
I wonder if any one has said you sound like Jessica from sex in the city 🤔
