Wow, seeing these apartments makes me super appreciate my duplex 1 br apartment in Brooklyn is $2,200. (utilities included), natural light and it has a washer, dryer, dishwasher, spacious closets and storage spaces, super large landscaped entertaining space backyard with an optional area to grow veggies. Its one block away from the train station. I'm so sad to leave this space this Spring. Its such a rare gem that still gives me all the feels.
Loved this video, it was so interesting! Great for you for fulfilling this dream of living as a single woman in NYC and having such a positive attitude towards the future, despite your split.

Life really does go in directions we never expect. Big changes always have their up and down moments and it's just part of the process. But glad you're doing OK and so excited for this new chapter for you! That apartment is unreal 😍

Hi April just wanted to say that this video really touched me and I teared up many times just imagining this whole transition you are going through and how far you have come. The story about the bridge made me think how things come full circle to hold so much more meaning than we ever thought possible. Your video reminded me also of my 18 year old self with dreams of living alone in New York City but I never got to experience it (not complaining though cause I am happily married and living in the next best city, Toronto!!) but just made me think of what could have been. Anyway I just wanted to say I am genuinely so so happy for you and I wish you all the best for this new phase of your life. I was in a flat with ten girls in midtown, crazy walk up in lower east, railroad in queens. In London living in a shoe box, then 4 boys and now living a dream life I feel that I deserve it ahaha VLOG IT ALL!!!!

I feeeeeel you as a Brooklyn native and current resident, apartment hunting is HARD. I think this is what they mean by if you can make it here you can make it anywhere because if you can find a habitable apartment for a price that's worth it you've hit the jackpot! I'm so sorry to hear you are going through that! Just make sure to take care of yourself as much as you can during this time! Prioritize your nutrition, your movement, sleep and hydration - it helps a lot when physically you feel good! xo
Brooklyn isn't the largest borough, Queens is. Brooklyn is the populated borough.

Very interesting. I have different taste than you though. I like the older pre war buildings better. The newer ones seem sterile to me. I like character. The newer buildings could be in any city. The older buildings are more NY to me.
Me being from Switzerland and triggered about her saying "very european". Pls Americans Europe has so many countries. French style is not the same as Italian style!
