    here at 76 years old, my understanding of myself having survived a family where both my siblings didn't make it past 53 due to severe addictions, FINALLY I get to understand the what why and how my life happened as is described herein. I pray my spiritual interest in eastern religions having lived as a catholic shall lead me to that light of lights divine that peace, inner peace that identification with trust that self esteem that we all have some sort of child hood horror of memories and that we are all brothers and sisters healing loving caring supporting each other THANK YOU Prof. SAM

    If all of mankind is interconnected through the individual's introjection of other people's beliefs and constructs, then this lends credence to the notion-derived from psychedelics and predominantly Eastern philosophies-that 'we are one.'

      We can't be one if we are interconnected. 'Inter' implies two seperate entities.

    Hello Mr. Vaknin. I have a request. I know you will at first roll your eyes in disregard, but after that maybe laugh in relief, knowing your listeners have seemed to grew a bond to you and able to predict the future.
    Unrelated to this video entirely: Could you expand more on the topic of the Idealization -> discard cycle ESPECIALLY in connection to infidelity? How do our (alleged) narcissist gather the power to completely flip the script on us AND on top of that end up in the most vile and insane love affairs with "forbidden fruit" type individuals?

    What happens in the case a child is psychologically still-born, in that they are forced to separate from the mother, is that akin to borderline?

    • @boiledorcookedthatstheq2581
      @boiledorcookedthatstheq2581 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

      No, that leads to narcissism or psychopathy. If she is completely dead, even physically so, the child makes sense of her because she is consistently dead, consistently absent.
      Borderline springs from an inconsistent mother, a mother that is part-time dead, a mother where a consistent model can't be found, where we have to accept volatility itself AS the model.

    Dr Vaknin, I’ve watched so many of your videos and am finally commenting…can you explore the unique scenario of twins… for example my fraternal twin and I had a cold distant narcissistic mother but we had a meaningful surrogate connection with one another. It’s like the gods said sorry kiddos here’s another human to bond with so you know what love is.
