@EoinReardon (for all your woodworking needs!)
Christmas is coming and I need to get this huge V12 Centurion tank engine out the house to make room for the Christmas tree!!

"Can we stop with the paedophile jokes? I'm not even that bad"
That took the tea out of my mouth and put it on my keyboard
Every man watching this sees absolutely no problem with having a massive V12 engine in their living room
How'd it get in there I'm thinking 😂
Every man should have one.
Even some of us girls think its a fantastic idea 😂 might put a rover v8 in mine
When I first moved out of my parents house and rented a house I rebuilt a 427 Chevy in my kitchen because Canadian winters are bloody cold. I will say the GF was slightly upset about it.
@@maxxod1 noticed you didn't say Wife......
Seb deserves massive credit not only for lateral thinking but also avoiding any physical assistance whatsoever.
Remind me to send glass cleaner for Seb's back.
They have winch him outta bed
His new nickname is "foreskin". Disappears when the going gets hard.
Seb is short for 'sensor light' he only works when someone walks past. Or perhaps 'Blister' - only appears when the hard work is done. The man's a genius for making Jack do all the work
I offered but I was told to stay on the camera. All to happy to oblige 🫡
Send that glass cleaner after I was made to get on the bar though, could do with a polish up 👀
@@philipyeo7535 and such a sign of loyalty when they put them straight back under. Hence I call mine Samson the Sodbag
I appreciate the 'no shoes' in the house policy, last thing you want is dirty boots in your front room when lifting a V12 engine out. Safety socks on!
Having lived in a farm cottage for nearly 10 years in the early 80's I can confirm the decor is generic and spot on!
I had a BSA A10 and a Triumph Tiger in my Kitchen for a while as I didnt have a V12 tank engine at the time. Good times!
I used to keep my '69 BSA lightning in the living room in the winter to make sure it stayed toasty warm and cozy!
We allways had a bike in the kitchen as it was warmer than the garage 👍
Same here (A10, T25, C15 and others) but it all came to a dismal end when I cooked a rear chain in hot melt chain lube on the cooker and the bottom fell out of the tin. Shades of Jasper Carrot and “me mum won’t let me fix it in the kitchen” from funky moped
Unique smell 😂
Who thinks pumpkin races should be a thing? 🤔
I think the local 7-1/4” model engineering society railway track should be used for rocket-train races, so I will always say yes. You appear to have a dragon?
Yes! Eat the cheese and roll the pumpkin!
"Pumpkin" could be a description of a very wide definition of "contestants"
I'm on board 👍
I think that you should build a trebuchet and see how far a pumpkin can fly. The addition of wings is optional. 🤣🤣🤣🎃❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎃🤣🤣🤣
Looks hard work but why in the house 🏠 after all that work hope it runs And pumpkin soup it's very nice for lunch in the field
Only the “power of love” could cause a man to replace a tank engine in his living room with a Christmas tree.
You mean "it must be love" with respect to the video song House of Fun by madness
This channel is definitely “The grand tour” for tanks
Mr Hewes = Clarkson
Seb = James May
Jack = Hammond
Keep up the good work lads👌🏻👍🏻😂
TH-cam eats the BBC
The Grand War?
You know this used to be a more common thing in Europe around the mid 40's . Farm House , Tank engine in the front living room . Of cause it usually came with the rest of the Tank and crew attached . Oh they knew how to have fun back then , they made their front doors back then !!! . Nice to see your keeping that tradition alive .
I think there is a young lady that deserves a meritorious conduct medal there! Well done everybody!
I am at a loss of words! The tiles, the door frame.......the engine in the living room. Great video. Now lets see the engine running.
Here in the states, there are lots of stories of bikers, assembling motorcycles in their living room or kitchen. However, I think you guys across the pond have demonstrated that we are certainly behind you! A tank engine in the living room definitely trumps a motorcycle.😂 Cheers😊
I particularly liked how careful you all were to take your shoes off so that you didn't damage the floor. Very considerate!!!
Nice to see Ted branching out from project management into film production.
Good thing Jack had his safety socks with him
Half of us is thinking "when was it ever a good idea to put a tank engine in your livingroom?". The other half is thiknking "but now there´s no tank engine in your livingroom?"
Just another day of smooth sailing at the chaos factory 😂😂😂😂😂
Let's have a round of applause for the old school traditional farm house parquet flooring! That stuff was built to last!!!!!
Everyone needs a little Madness in their life.
Thing i dont get is why you'd want a tree in your house 😂😂😂
I've never thought I'd laugh at a pumpkin but here i am lmao at a pumpkin rolling down the road loving the content keep up the good work
I suppose its best not to ask why that engine was there in the first place 😂
The engine was there before the house judging by the damage caused during removal
Actually, enquiring minds would like to know why. 😊
As Jack said, it was brought in on Xmas day, so Santa must have brought it down the chimney! I hope he wrapped it well.
I think the house was built to sheter a tank. Someone dimantled the tank...but couldn't get the engine out as they did not have a manual hydraulic ram press!
@@TachyonDriver firstly, one has to consider the question "why not?"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bloody brilliant Episode Chaps, Madness was a perfect choice for this hilarious Video.🤣🤣🤣
this really does feel like one of those drunk stories about how you get so wasted you wake up and there is a ladder in the front room which cant fit threw the doors and you have no idea how you got it in there
🤣
I know I'm late to the party but I still have questions as to how it got there...
Alcohol could be both the cause and solution to this problem.
a bunch of us where out drinking and we found a scaffold pole which seemed to fit inside a stranger's big letterbox. wonder if they enjoyed it as much as we did 😉
Only blokes will live in such a dosshole and the idea of having a bloody great battle tank engine in one's living room is hilarious!!! Keep it up lads......brilliant stuff.
"Right Saud Fred that there door is going to have to go". for some reason that song is running round my head watching this !
Plan C - get the Foden to pull the house off of the V12 engine… great vid boys!
Was expecting Bernard Cribbins singing "Right said Fred"
Always think of the 'Benny Hill' music on the fast forward parts..
I think you should have taken the window out and lifted it out with the Crane on the Foden 🇬🇧👍🏻 Wait till one of the Grown Ups come home and see all that damage, I think you will be sent straight to your bedroom and no tea 🤣
Great song! Got the album for my 16th birthday!
Plan B: leave the engine in the lounge and decorate with tinsel and lights.
For Christmas😂😂
it would be the Rolls Royce of Christmas trees !
This!...There are six Christmas Trees on the window sill already 0:51...Madness!!
I suspect the quiet persuasion of a woman behind this engine move... like a glacier, creeping but with the power that can carve out a valley.
Wonderful to see the future of british entrepreneurial leadership in action! Quality work gentlemen!!! 😜🥰
Between you and Colin Furze you are the mates we all wish we had,
We've got WhistlinDiesel though who incidentally hung out with these fellas when he bought his Challenger tank.
Did you take your shoes off in the house in case they got dirty??😄
You guys are the best. This made my day. Good to see the Christmas tree going up. Now I’m motivated to get mine up tomorrow. 🇨🇦
Bloody brilliant lads! Did you build the house around that engine!?😂 Also is Jack 2 inches shorter now
I’m glad they don’t squander the family fortune on interior decor…..not if one is keeping an engine in the sitting room…..😂
That was sooooo fun to watch!!!!! My brother and I are of the same ilk. We were notorious for building 429 interceptor motors in our upstairs apartment. I built a killer 650 Triumph up there too! Never did get the smell of the 90 weight gear oil outta that place. Didn’t get our deposit back either. Our friends would come over to help us drag the latest build down a rickety wooden flight of stairs. Someone always got something pinched or smashed in the process. It all made for great memories. Your video put me right there back in time. Awesome production!!!!
Absolutely hilarious video! Just love watching you guys and Ted too ! Keep it up
The great pumpkin escape. Well done for getting it out with absolutely no damage whatsoever... to the engine.
I think you all should go into house removals you would be mint at it 😂
Have you ever tried a sack barrow at both ends? Very effective! Lift with the sack barrow then drop in a timber block between sack barrow and load to keep it on the wheels!
It works!
The Merlin/Meteor were actually designed to fit through a standard 30" doorway.
If I may add my personal opinion, I think you should just park an entire tank in the living room this Christmas Day. Best of both worlds there, you could decorate the barrel it’s basically a tree(ish)
Music choice was very appropriate. Maybe Madness will write you a theme song.
Minute 1:35 - mannual human push ram ..... with precision navigation 😁🤣🤣😂
Also handy to get the Christmas tree in to the living room corner, after decorating it😅
30 secs in and Madness is playing. Winning.
Best laugh I've had for a long while! Only started watching recently,I find the tank work informative and a giggle! Keep it up lads, ooer missus!
I am shocked you didnt arrange some pulley blocks and a foden to winch it through the house
The real question is how the engine got there in the first place. Who put it there if removing it was such a difficulty ? Did he move in with the thing already part of the decor ? Was the cottage built around the engine ? Did he rent it specifically because the engine preexisted his tenancy ?
As a young guy my living room was graced with a motorcycle engine in the winter. Spent evenings polishing the thing after rebuilding it so I understand why such a thing would grace the place with its presence. But there are unanswered questions here.
Maybe it was put together in the living room, in the winter when it was really cold outside...
FFS , don’t give him ideas!
@@paulmanson253 if you look back I think Joe has a vid of him putting it in there
Just drag the house off the engine..... 🤔😂
I had to watch that twice. Then I downloaded the song. Thanks guys and Merry Christmas.
Not that I've ever done this before ;) but fence post across the door frame and a winch mounted on it works a treat for dragging big stuff down corridors.
Better yet you could have parked the Forden out side and winched it lol
Just what I did to drag a new freezer into my house by myself. Worked like a wizard. No torn up flooring or door frame damage wither. Come-a -long & 4X6 worked great.
You boys are delightfully feckin bonkers and I absolutely love it
What a swerve on your pumpkin past Seb's, Joe! Class pumpkin bowling skills. Definitely a bit of finger bias I'd say. Crown Green (erm tarmac) bowling at its finest.
That first pumpkin escape made me laugh so much more than it should have!!!
Cheers boys!
thank you very much for good entertainment. good job guys.👍🤗👍🇸🇯
Great content guys. I thought for a minute the v12 was going out the window 😂
Yeah I thought it was going out the window too 😂
Great fun to watch guys. Great video
Madness......Solid 80's music choice!
Ahhh. Another day in the life of simple country folk.😜
Great choice of music to go with the mayhem, the whole thing was Madness!
Good effort all around!
An alternative method of extraction, start up newly acquired little yellow crane. Attach extended lifting beam, poke it through the top opening light on the front window, attach suitable lifting frame to engine. Take the strain giving clear hand signals, hook up Foden to the rear of little yellow crane. Then on count of select reverse on both vehicles and 3 hit the accelerator pedals simultaneously. Sorted
Best TED production ever! Submit it to Cannes next year!
Jack pushing the V12 with his socks and no shoes 😂bloody hilarious
Best and most appropriate soundtrack for a post. Every!
Great you're Madness fans!. However one question, how the f*ck did you get that engine in the house without doing the damage it took to get it out again? Bril!. Nuff said
🤣
I got the engine in by myself last year on Christmas Day 🤣 I’m an incredibly determined person
@@MrHewes Bonkers!, but! Loveable!. Keep doing what you do! We'll keep watching!. Always an education on mechanics!. Mindyou your dear old dog needs a 'treats' raise.. Nuff said!. Need a fifty something apprentice? 🤣
@@MrHewesput that vid up will ya
Awesome video boys!
As a bloke i cant see why the Christmas tree was not cut down a bit placed on top of the engine and all the trimmings and lights was put around the V12. I mean the presents go on the floor anyway so why not round the engine. Now its just a house not a home NUFF SAID i recon :) Great vid. :))😂
When you move the sofa and its got loads of dog stuff under it. Like every dog owning house ever :D
The engine is a thing of beauty and would grace any gentle persons abode👍
Going to see madness tonight, just stopped listening to them to watch this video and what's playing?? 😂😂 What's the chances lol
With all the crap going on in the country, this crew reminds me why I’m still proud to be Brit’, ❤ ‘Through the mud, through the blood, to the green fields beyond’.
Awesome choice of tune
Hilarious! The choice of music was spot on
Nice choice on Madness house of fun.
House removals, are you going to do chandelier removal as well?😂
Pumpkin 10 pin bowling is the new national sport then.👍
It seems that the house was built around the enigine to protect it.
I had an operation for a hernia 35 years ago, watching this brought back some painful memories!
Another great video guys, shame to move the engine out, I liked it there! I'm not going to ask where the tree came from, but after meeting jack today, I have a good idea!! Keep up the good content... 👍
By far one of the funniest videos i have seen in a long time!
That was an extremely funny video to watch and those frames suffered bad but all in the name of Christmas 🎄 Merry Christmas all 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Wouldn't of been Merry if the whisky bottle had smashed 1:10 ...I know that box colour even if it is on fast forward! 😄
Suprised you didn’t used the Foden.. forklift, perfect 👌🏻
Cooooeeee mr shifter. Great job, again. 😊
love ure missus speeed dekorating the tree..😂
No end to Ted's talent
Great choice of music. That was complete and utter madness. What a pity the BBC can't write comedy like that. Looking forward to the next one.
Some things are better if it’s real.
That was awesome.
I once winched a Kawasaki triple engine up the bedroom stairs, the rope (washing line) snapped and the engine rolled back down through the front door.
Jack is a specimen, though I will not venture as to what type............good job guys.
You built the house around that, didn't you?
Madness is a nice sound track for the job 👌
Funny and entertaining 🤣🤣🤣 laugh a minute round your gaff.
House of fun was a good choice of track. I love the fact that some kid in the future is gonna look at this resto and think wtf. 😁
Great bit of content chaps! Should’ve fired that engine up in the living room first 👍
too me too you too me too you 🤣😂😅😂 chuckles
Bravo Gents😂😂😂hilarious video
Love to see the the data plate to find where & when it was overhauled
The big Model V-2 Model V-2-34 38.8 L engine easily weigh around 600 kg and was quite reliable and easy easy to maintain. It is perfect for indoor decoration aside some smashing here and there! 🤣😅
Great choice of music 👍
Beautiful work lads😂
