Wow, Will and Dawn! We here at the Buckhorn Inn are so delighted that you featured us. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. I read some of your many viewer comments and thought I would add some information. Prior to Covid-19 we cleaned and serviced guest accommodations daily. Now we thoroughly clean and sanitize all rooms (both hard and soft furnishings) before your arrival and do not enter them again until you have checked-out. The traditional rooms upstairs are the only ones without their own fridge and coffee makers. The Tower Room, the 4 premier suites, the 7 cottages, and the three guest houses all have them. Other accommodations have walk-in showers or jacuzzi tubs--the size of the traditional Inn rooms prohibits larger showers. We also ask our guests to make breakfast reservations now in order to ensure social distancing in the dining room. We are glad to deliver breakfast to your room if you desire. Dinner reservations are a bit harder to come by these days as we are limiting the number of diners--again to ensure social distancing. We have one seating each evening for the fixed price dinners served at 7:00 pm--and the reservations go fast! We give Inn guests first opportunity to make reservations and then open them up to the general public a few days in advance. You are correct that Walt Disney is probably our most famous guest. Others are actress Patricia Neal, Tipper Gore, Ed Helmsley (The Office), and Butch Trucks (Allman Brothers Band). As a die-hard Cubs fan, I commented on your shirt at breakfast and you mentioned that it was a gift from a friend--I see that she noticed you were wearing the shirt too! Wow! I've been getting brochures from Gatlinburg for years and I've never seen anything about that place. A Hidden Gem for sure. Whenever I see a wooden desk up against a window looking at the mountains I think of John Boy Walton.

Dear Dawn and Will, Thanks so much for going to the Buckhorn Inn. It is one of our favorite places... we just live a few miles from the Inn... but really enjoyed a weekend there. We want to go back for an evening meal there too some day. Hope you will have a great second night there.

Love this place!! Lots of good memories for me! When I was little we would have a family reunion every year at Christmas. Our families would rent the entire place for a week. My cousins and I had a great time. My cousin Elizabeth and I loved sleeping in the tower. Lots of fun playing in the snow!
The Inn is warm & cozy. Love the decor. The views are beautiful. Peaceful, & restful atmosphere. Nice color scheme. Loved the checkered look better, but this was as equally inviting. I would love to stay here. Breakfast looked great! Treating yourself to something nice, this would be it.
That's a real nice B/B. So relaxing at the Buckhorn Inn. I'm used to living in old homes in PA. I always vacationed in the autumn: Cape Cod, Colonial Williamsburg, Coastal SC

The Dining Room at Buckhorn is ranked #4 on TripAdvisor. No wonder it is hard to get a reservation. That #4 out of the hundreds of restaurants in all of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. WOW!
I like that lamp, and I love your sweater, Dawn! Hea Will, that singing in the shower, don't quit your day job. :) lol. Because that is an older hotel, it probably attracts a different clientele than some of the newer places that's probably why it was quieter than that other hotel you stayed at where you could hear the people in the next room. ;)
We have stayed at Buckhorn Inn twice including our stay last May in one of the cabins. The cabins have a small kitchen and gas fireplaces. We love Buckhorn and plan to be back next year. The brownies in the parlor are amazing. We feel it is by far the best Inn anywhere in the Smokies.
I was born and raised in Indiana so we are Northern to I moved here 37 years ago I live in Oak Ridge Tennessee I'm just a small car ride away from the Smokies I'm just a small car ride from Knoxville which offers plenty and I absolutely love you silly mini little hideaways that in 37 years I never found thank you once again great job guys
Dawn, you are absolutely correct, we do use the vegetables we grow in our meals. This summer we grew a variety of lettuces, kale, pole beans, tomatoes, shoepeg sweet corn, carrots, peppers, and two varieties of okra. This fall we are growing kale, brussels sprouts, sugar snap peas, and kohlrabi. You also may have noticed the pots of fresh herbs growing on the veranda--they are placed there for the convenience of the chefs. You might also have noticed our bee hives. We had our first harvest of Tudor Mountain Honey this year. Our chefs have been using our own honey in dishes as well.
Looks like a grand place to stay. Lots of history. Great grounds and views. I really like that they have those guest books in the room to read through, how fun, and add your own insights of course. The swans were fun to see. I agree a shared refrigerator is not cool but better than nothing I guess. Thanks for the review and looking forward to the next part! Be safe.

I work in a Motel, I work the front desk, and I agree they need refrigerator's in ever room, and microwave, and coffee maker. Those are very important for the comfort of the guests. Have fun and enjoy, looks like fun.😊👍 And have a bless night ♥️
Love this hotel. So quaint, with beautiful views! I could happily forgo a coffee maker and fridge in the room for few nights at this hotel! It seemed like it had a wonderful warm friendly atmosphere.
I have been going to the mountains all my life, and I have never heard of this place. Might have to check it out. As a kid we stayed at Brookside and Carr’s. As we got older we moved our stays out into Pigeon Forge and Sevierville to avoid some of the traffic and crowds. The Buckhorn looks very peaceful. Thanks for sharing with all of us.
I really enjoyed your first night at the Buckhorn Inn. The room was real nice. Considering that it was a Bed and Breakfast, it wasn’t big like some of the hotels you stayed at, but it was adequate. A very nice bathroom with different things you would use for the shower. The shower was a little bit small, but still was nice. Will, you made my day with The Itsy Bitsy Spider, lol. After seeing the room, you went down to the common area. It was very nice with several places for people to sit and talk. The dining area was very nice. Unfortunately you didn’t get dinner, but you were able to get breakfast the next morning. Boy that French toast and berries looked good. So did the omelet that Dawn had. You walked around on the hikes they had. Even saw the pond where the swans were. Beautiful. I can’t wait for the video you have for the next day. I feel that it’s going to be as wonderful as this one was. 🙂😉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Such a cute place to stay but not too crazy about having no thermostat in the room and having to share a fridge and keurig with other people on your floor. I did like the nature trail very much. His photo is on the wall at the front desk under the photo of Governor/Senator Lamar Alexander, another famous guest.

A bed and breakfast is a different stay than a hotel or motel. That explains why somethings are shared such as the refrigerator and coffee station.
