Yes you can, but for brp holders on tier 2 visa, share code doesn’t always work. Not sure if thats sorted by now.

Update August 2028:
Return of the original documents may happen AFTER you receive your provisional license. In my case I got my license 9 working days after I sent the form to DVLA and my BRP took another 2 working days

Hey, thanks for the info. Yes that happens quite often but most of the time, the brp comes before the provisional licence. I applied for my gf’s license last week and it came one day after she received the brp.

Yes you can. You just need a visa which allows you to stay more than 180 days in the uk. Having a brp usually ticks this box. You can apply on day 1 of arriving in the uk.
