Varlamore is based on Roman and Aztec stuff, so many of the non-Latin words are based on the Nahuatl language spoken by the Aztecs. If the words are meant to be pronounced like the source language, then the following points apply:
- If the spelling rules don't make sense, blame the Spanish speakers 500 years ago who made them.
- "HU" represents the same sound as English "W". Nahuatl doesn't use the English "H" sound.
- "X" represents the same sound as English "SH".
- "TL" is a single sound, so it doesn't break up syllables (like how English "CH" is a combo of 2 separate sounds "T" and "SH", but we still consider it a single sound).
- Nahuatl doesn't use multiple letters to represent a single vowel sound (like English with "oa" in "coat"). 2 letters = 2 different sounds, so the "oa" in "coatl" is "oh-ah", not "oh".
- The syllable that gets emphasized is the second-to-last.
So bringing it all together and using caps for the emphasized syllable, the names are pronounced like:
- Hueycoatl = "way-CO-ahttle"
- Amoxliatl = "ah-mowsh-LEE-ahttle"
- Macuahuitl = "maw-KWAH-weetle"
as a lowly Genshin Impact enjoyer this is very helpful
There are quite a few other things I would blame said Spanish speakers 500 years ago for, but this could be one of them.

Btw there's an unlockable shorcut to Amoxiatl - the big chamber with frost naguas outside the boss room has an elevator in the middle, it comes out right next to the pendant teleport. Saves about a minute compared to running through the dungeon
