Please read before commenting about Efficacious Planning! I've been told that Efficacious Planning works differently than I read it as (it is a bit ambiguous to me so they should clear that up). All ships have a 10% chance to dodge plus however their evasion versus enemy hit works out in the calculation. With Amagi's skill, the backline gains 10% to this rate...not their evasion stat. This means that at all times, they have a 1 in 10 chance to dodge the attack! This is very different from what I interpreted it as!
That's the problem some add to the evasion while others multiply it. None of them say if it's one or the other so we basically have to rely on data miners to figure out which is which.
You dont mess with amagi in pvp xD Her barrage hits like crazy and that 45% cooldown means alot. She is a must in pvp even against PR ships. Also 1 like = 1 pray for our sick waifu 🙏

@BluēFable If I *must* pick a PR Frontliner to use in Exercise, I’d pick Ibuki over those two (and Neptune). She has the most relevant Exercise skills. The rest? Meh. They can tank but that’s it. Other ships can do their job if you just want to tank.
Amagi seriously is one of my favorite ships, especially outside of the game....well, if she was ever finished, but still. Amagi is also one of the best ships in the game, as a waifu of course, but also in general as a ship. And I mean, she is even more lady like than Hood in my opinion. Great video man, great ship, one of the most interesting ones for me personally. I think her relatively low health by the way comes from, well besides balancing, also her history and in game appearance, as she was heavily damaged through an earthquake and thus scrapped in real life. Ah, the SR Shifu of the Crimson Echoes Event, Quite the Waifu she is... She's *Thicc* She has *The Fluff* She *Proteccs* She' *Supports* She Likes to *Snacc* (evident by one of her Secretary Lines) and Finally (and possibly my favorite...) She has the *Firepower*! Her Story in the Game is a Tragic as her Story in Real Life... While Being Constructed, an Earthquake Struck the Shipyard/Docks she was in, Doing some serious Damage to her Hull, which led to imminent Cancellation and Scrapping, Luckily her Sister the Then Battlecruiser Akagi sustained not that much Damage, which led to her Conversion to the Pride of the IJN 1st CarDiv. The In Game Amagi is no Different, Her Coughing is the Result of a Damaged Wisdom Cube, the life force of ship girls as what I've Learned, and AL's Interpretation of the Damage done to the IRL Amagi, but her story in game is way different than that of IRL Amagi, but still leads up to the same outcome... *The Carriers Will soon Rule the Seas of War, and Overthrow the Battleships!* Anyways.... Amagi is Indeed one of the Few Waifu Material Shipfus in Game, its sad that I cant Oath her (Cuz Kaga took the Ring, God Dammit Kaga! I still love you tho). I got into the game a little late, but Amagi is honestly the reason I did. I saw a video someone put up talking about the game and thought it looked fun, but when I saw him build Amagi I immediately fell in love with her art. It was around the end of her event, so I downloaded the game, rolled the measly amount of cubes I had on hand, and she showed up. Took it as a sign and have been playing ever since, and as an F2P I'm glad I did considering how friendly Azur Lane is to cheap-asses like me.
My first SR when i first play the game and the second character i promise and the first one of my naming trend in the game. (That is naming them to their parallel character that i see) I named her Tendou Souji, after the character with the same name in "Kamen Rider: Kabuto" cause how the two story parallel to each other in two point that strongly resemble each other. 1: Both Amagi/Souji act and feel like a gary/mary sue that they are better then all or most character in the story in all attributes (power, intelligent, strategy etc...), but in the end it break and we can see who and what they are. 2: A mentor/ older sibling relationship to a character that name Kaga/Kagami. And both Kaga/Kagami personality and their goal also parallel with each other(Regret not getting BC Kaga). That both wanted to be better then Amagi/Souji and surpass them. (But even after Amagi/Souji is gone, Kaga/Kagami in general still not technically surpass them). It's surprise me how parallel the two are the first time i looking at it.
Why not Seta Souji? Her character is described as sickly, the same with Shinsengumi's vice captain whom while extremely talented, died at young age with illness akin to Amagi's.

Little detail: Amagi's second skill increases the Evasion _Rate_ of the back line by 10%, which means 0.1 is subtracted from the enemy hit rate. This flat reduction otherwise only appears on Smokescreen skills and Yat Sen.
Hey Hawk, nice vid, one correction to make: It's not evasion stat boost, it's pure evasion rate, the difference between those two is colossal and the +10% evasion rate makes a difference, especially for backliners who really need evasion

Couldn't agree more. I think on paper Nagato is better than Amagi, but in practice Amagi is better by no small margin. Nagato's barrage being a 50/50 proc chance means she is much more RNG dependent. When Nagato's barrage actually procs it does a lot more damage, the problem is getting it to proc. I have done entire map clears with Nagato and not have her barrage proc once, while I have done entire map clears with Amagi and have had her barrage proc with every salvo. I use Amagi+Akagi+Kaga back line in PvP and have yet to run into a Nagato+Akagi+Kaga combo that I have had trouble with, and my Akagi isn't even lvl 120 yet. Amagi was my first SSR (started playing about a week before Crimson Echoes ended) and she is my first to level 120. Unfortunately she isn't the first I gave a ring to, since I didn't appreciate her as much then as I do now. Funny thing is the first ship I gave a ring to is only lvl 104 today. Agree she really does deserve a wedding skin.
Thank you for covering the lovable sick fox lady! She's my favorite BB/C and second oathed ship. Where others can make me doubtful, she's the one that always tops my expectations and one I can rely on. Among other parts she totally decimates Challenges. In an earlier level of Tech boxes daily the tip of her barrage killed the first boss, mid killed the second boss and the end pretty much killed the last duo as they appeared, that was amazing (at 70% trigger rate). And the Scharnhorst daily boss? One barrage and it's almost over, Hood is nowhere near that (if anyone else is)
During the rerun someone wrote in the chat "Imagine not getting Amagi on the rerun lol" I responded with: "What do you mean imagine?" Yeah, I didn't get her 😢
She was always a must-have backliner for me and I rarely excluded her from my sorties because of her strength and versatility. I need her even more so now due to all the previous fighting as a flag ship and MVP she gained massive amounts of exp and jumped to lvl 119 as soon as the lvl120 cognitive awakening was made available. Really helped me fight in w12 with shipgirls that barely broke through lvl 100.

I run her with both Big E and Monarch (dev level 27) on PVP. Their ability to damage the enemy backline is so good, that Big E's first Owari Da usually cleans everything.
its not a good idea to use multiple barrage battleships/battlecruisers togther since the barrage ship that's not im the middle is most likely to miss alot of her barrage

I once believe she is a good ship but today, after watching this video, everything change for a ship to be able to make Hawk says Are you f... to sandy build... I now am sure that she not only has strong stat and skills, but the waifu is also strong with this one. Akashi, I'll pay you, bring me every box of medicine you have ASAP
Amagi was my first AL event SR and remains a strong member of my IJN fleet, though running Nagato now takes precedence. She is still borderline OP in my experience with her skill & barrage.
Please add in your review how to obtain or get copies of the ship you discuss. It will be usefull information to know what chapter to grind if possible.

Most non-event ships are drops...the larger subset of these being dropped almost everywhere. It would be very tedious to list every location for all of them when that might involve literally everywhere. Some uniques...like Inazuma, Ikazuchi, Maya, Yuudachi, etc...have one place. I can mention them at least. Howeve, most will be a case of "just play the game and you'll get them without trying"
My only thoughts during the entire time of that event when I still didn't have her but had already finished the missions is (stupid/delusional as it may sound): "I will save her! I will take her into my fleet, raise her levels, take care of her and protect her." And when I did get her, I power leveled her and married her the instant I reached max affinity during the Crimson Echoes event. The grind was tiring for both of us (mostly for me since I stop playing when her mood icon starts appearing), but since she basically takes MVP almost all the time in both PVE and PVP, leveling her up to 90 was relatively easy compared to others. She was my fastest leveled and max affinity ship I ever had. She also always seems to be the fastest one to reach max level even if I don't put her out on PVP that much anymore as she was the first 110 ship I had, compared to the fox sisters who are still 109. She's now 113, one of the best girls in my fleet and rarely goes out on missions now.
I'm just here to mention how SE having 3 different events (Crimson Echoes, Visitors Dyed in Red, and Ink Stained Steel Sakura) is broken. Than and how the other large portion of their ships are Stage drops. At least I've gotten Yuudachi... TWICE from 6-4 farming.

@Sebastian Acosta On one hand, I agree with you. On the other hand, the Kriegsmarine has far fewer ships in total compared to the other 3 major factions. Balancing between making a good event and featuring too few KMS ships in said event is hard. Both of the “broken” cases you mentioned are indeed problems, but I can see where Yostar is coming from, on both of these cases.
You also gotta add in that USS and HMS just got one major event. KMS has two, but they kinda shared their major event with HMS, making HMS and KMS both have 1.5 major events. I honestly can't say that I believe that Manjuu needs to keep pumping out IJN ships to keep their Japanese fanbase happy, Manjuu just needs to pump out cool, cute, hot looking and powerful ships in general.
Hmm. It's too bad her rigging cover most of her tail. Anyone remember Amagi in WoWS? She have 10 gun in 5 turret, 2 for each. And of 5 turret, 3 are at the rear. So usually when she are not showing all of her guns by broadsiding, Amagi is way more dangerous when she's moving away from you, since she can present 6 guns to shoot off your ship, rather than just 4 when she approach. And because of that, I nicknamed her : *The 6 fluffy tails of Doom* ;)
@@vanhnguyen8776 Well.... somewhat true. IJN BB in WoWS tend to have best accuracy when compare to other lines. ( Russian may have better accuracy, but in order to do so you have to get close so...) ;)
Amagi basically wipes the enemy mob fleet into oblivion, which really helps when I cannot add Hood to my team. It's also a big plus when performing combat research for PR ship Izumo because Amagi has the highest chance of getting MVP status just purely out of how much she destroys the enemy with each barrage. Add Amagi with retrofits Ise and Hyuuga, and you have a very solid main fleet with incredible firepower alongside some minor aviation support from Ise and Hyuuga's retrofit status. However, this sort of formation does not work well for boss fleets, only mob fleets. If you want to have Amagi for a boss fleet, you're better off with pure CV's for that purpose - Amagi's barrage does not work well for single enemy units.
She and so many others needs skins beyond the default like lady Amagi here. Yostar knows the money is waiting for them so I wonder what they are waiting for.
The reason why Amagi has more firepower is because she's originally planned to have 5 twin 410mm Cannon, yes the one that inslalled on Nagato and other Big Seven, but 5 of them. And the torpedo is because the early IJN's Battlehsip & Battlecruiser originally have those, Kongou & Fusou Class before the refit also have torpedoes And for the low health, that because she's designed to have high speed (for her time ofc) making her armor not to heavy but still can withstand some hits. Btw i oathed Amagi,Akagi & Kaga, and yes they make a great combo
she seems great at facing the sub boss fleets that pop up in events (and perhaps high level chapters, I haven't gone that far... somewhat still stuck at the fox and bunny mines)
I gave her the Armor piercing Gun from the germans and she..Basically wipes out a good chunk of the backfleet. About half of their hp or so in one go with akagi and kaga finishing off the rest. Gotta say i definitely enjoy amagi.
There are some couple fails in regards to her evasion skill, which gives rate instead of stat. Meaning Amagi is actually evades more than Hood. That's why she is useful to Akaga carrier sisters. I prefer her with same backline as Amagi is the big sis of the two.
Best part: Amagi, and Akagi are sister ships. They're both members of the Amagi class Battlecruisers. Amagi is shown in her "What if she was completed as designed" state, while Akagi is shown as how she is after world events intervened...
Ofcourse you were going to use the depressing music. 😢 Anyway, now that you mentioned that Amagi pairs well with the fox sisters, I look forward to hear your thoughts on Nagato since another comp I often see is those sisters paired with her for the additional reload and damage bonuses. Plus, she's adorable af and now I hate myself for not playing this game sooner.
If you want to increase her firepower and damge dpm use her original gun, twin 410 mm main gun mount (remember two take the purple one) and instead of purple fcr for auxilary, type 1 AP white shell instead to wreck peoples dreams, to increase her crit dmg dealt.
I would have say that I would enjoy seeing you do a video on Jean Bart one day. Jean Bart would have to be one of the most controversial powerful SSR ships that I've seen talked about in Azur Lane EN. On one spectrum you have people saying that Jean Bart couldn't see much use due to the over saturated market of powerful BBs, then on another spectrum you have people say that what she's able to do is unique down to it's core and is a ship who is only really replaced by one of the PR2 Ships. There's another argument with Jean Bart, It's about her low luck stat causing her miss a lot of the time in later stages, making her RNG based, I've seen a few say she is not a good ship because of this.
Really love this ship, even if I haven't used her in a while since she takes mvp every time and I'm trying to farm pr ships. For pvp I often use her with nagato and hyuuga to nuke enemy enterprise or other damage dealer if they aren't in the flagship position, the buffs she receives with both of them are crazy... Great first strike team if you add ayanami and Yukikaze...
My most favorite Battleship ever! She's my all time MVP, decimated Challenge Bosses left and right, whenever her skills trigger my PVP opponents suffer greatly. She's gentle and cute, beautiful and smart, graceful and powerful. She's truly the Tactician of Sakura Empire, Big Sister of Akagi and the woman Kaga look up to. Simply put, I love her ♥
Btw, you can use a gamepad/console controller for Nox(you have to map it yourself a bit), if that’s the emu you’re using. It feels very natural for manual play.
One thing I really hope happens in AL is that when they add the Yamato sisters that they end up being the “biggest” shipgirls in the game... like what Kancolle did... but bigger because Azur Lane’s got a much higher threshold for ‘big’ :P
Amagi and Hood are two ships in my base that hit level 120 FIRST in my base when the patch that unlocked level 120 arrive. Also 200 affection. And now she is becoming a NEET since I had little reason to use her after reaching her peak of power (and to cure her asthma too). Amagi is well-rounded, but to say Amagi is more offensive-focusinh is a overstatement. Hood's barrage is purely offense-focusing that not only says "fuck you" to all Medium and Heavy units, but also tells your backline ships to "hurry the hell up you nooblords". Also, she in WOWS is the only battleship/battlecruiser that blessed me with Kraken (kill 5 or more ships in a match). Not even the mighty Yamato could give me that so... Amagi held a special place in my heart.
I mentioned offense focused stat-wise. If you take away skills...Amagi should outdps Hood by that larger Firepower difference...her shots will hit harder. The stats alone also show she's got a lower health pool and is weak to planes..while also being equally weak to what Hood is weak to. What you look at her stat-wise...yes she seems offense focused...even leaning towards glass cannon design.

I kinda hate how there is next to no way to predict when events and reruns will occur on EN... Coming from Fate/GO where the schedule is pretty much identical to JP's just two years behind is difficult to get used to. There are so many ships I am waiting for Re-Runs for.

I mean...you oath who you want to oath...I don't usually tell people who to oath (I guess I did here...but if someone doesn't want to...I would judge them on it) I personally haven't used Foote yet. From a quick glance at her stats...she's seems a bit on the tanky side for a DD. From how it sounds, you've gotten a bit attached to her...so maybe that is who you should oath. I don't see a lot of ppl who have oathed common ships...so you'd be the first one I'd know for doing such. This decision should be left to you. What I will say is this: think of all the characters you have...are you equally attached to them as you are Foote? If not, then I think you might have your answer.
How would one obtain the thigh Standard Fire Control Radar without participating in the Fallen Wings gacha points event? It isn’t in the Core Data Exchange unlike the F4U, so I was hoping you would have a pointer as to where to get it.
I'm not 100% sure how to obtain this item now... Fallen Wings got Archived, so the items are now of unknown obtainability. I doubt it would be via the core shop..if so...it would be crazy OP if it wasn't limited in any way. (That skill can be crazy to have with multiple ships using it). Hope to hear some information on this soon.

First playing this game near the end of crimson echoes event and this ship is the first SSR i get. After that she carry the hell of my team even after i have decent line up for backline & vanguard. A lot of my first goes to her, first MLB, First oath, first 200 affection, first lv120. Even now i'm still regretting my inability to finish crimson echoes event due to my low level and waiting for this event rerun. One thing i hate.... AMAGI SKIN WHEN ?!?!?!
The reason Amagi has better firepower than Hood is because the actual ships had different sized guns Amagi has 10 16inch guns while Hood has 8 15inch guns they both use duel mount turrets Amagi has 5 turrets, Hood has 4
I generally avoid double frontal barrage (one or both of them end up missing half the barrage)...but I'm sure with Nagato it works out well...because Nagato
With regards of the next on the list, I dont really see why you would want to review some other sister ships seperately. Here's for reducing workload: Rodney/Nelson, Ikazuchi/Inazuma, Mutsuki/Kisaragi, Deustchland/Graf Spee, Hyuuga/Ise and 3 Colarado sisters can all be reviewed together.

The In Game Amagi is no Different, Her Coughing is the Result of a Damaged Wisdom Cube, the life force of ship girls as what I've Learned, and AL's Interpretation of the Damage done to the IRL Amagi, but her story in game is way different than that of IRL Amagi, but still leads up to the same outcome...

I got into the game a little late, but Amagi is honestly the reason I did. I saw a video someone put up talking about the game and thought it looked fun, but when I saw him build Amagi I immediately fell in love with her art. It was around the end of her event, so I downloaded the game, rolled the measly amount of cubes I had on hand, and she showed up. Took it as a sign and have been playing ever since, and as an F2P I'm glad I did considering how friendly Azur Lane is to cheap-asses like me.
Imagine if she got a retrofit (or oath skin) where she... GOT OVER HER ILLNESS?

My first SR when i first play the game and the second character i promise and the first one of my naming trend in the game. (That is naming them to their parallel character that i see)
I named her Tendou Souji, after the character with the same name in "Kamen Rider: Kabuto" cause how the two story parallel to each other in two point that strongly resemble each other.
1: Both Amagi/Souji act and feel like a gary/mary sue that they are better then all or most character in the story in all attributes (power, intelligent, strategy etc...), but in the end it break and we can see who and what they are.
2: A mentor/ older sibling relationship to a character that name Kaga/Kagami. And both Kaga/Kagami personality and their goal also parallel with each other(Regret not getting BC Kaga). That both wanted to be better then Amagi/Souji and surpass them. (But even after Amagi/Souji is gone, Kaga/Kagami in general still not technically surpass them).
It's surprise me how parallel the two are the first time i looking at it.
So who's Akagi? Yaguruma? lol
Why not Seta Souji? Her character is described as sickly, the same with Shinsengumi's vice captain whom while extremely talented, died at young age with illness akin to Amagi's.

Little detail: Amagi's second skill increases the Evasion _Rate_ of the back line by 10%, which means 0.1 is subtracted from the enemy hit rate. This flat reduction otherwise only appears on Smokescreen skills and Yat Sen.

It's not evasion stat boost, it's pure evasion rate, the difference between those two is colossal and the +10% evasion rate makes a difference, especially for backliners who really need evasion

Couldn't agree more. I think on paper Nagato is better than Amagi, but in practice Amagi is better by no small margin. Nagato's barrage being a 50/50 proc chance means she is much more RNG dependent. When Nagato's barrage actually procs it does a lot more damage, the problem is getting it to proc. I have done entire map clears with Nagato and not have her barrage proc once, while I have done entire map clears with Amagi and have had her barrage proc with every salvo.
I use Amagi+Akagi+Kaga back line in PvP and have yet to run into a Nagato+Akagi+Kaga combo that I have had trouble with, and my Akagi isn't even lvl 120 yet.
Amagi was my first SSR (started playing about a week before Crimson Echoes ended) and she is my first to level 120. Unfortunately she isn't the first I gave a ring to, since I didn't appreciate her as much then as I do now. Funny thing is the first ship I gave a ring to is only lvl 104 today.

Where others can make me doubtful, she's the one that always tops my expectations and one I can rely on.
Among other parts she totally decimates Challenges. In an earlier level of Tech boxes daily the tip of her barrage killed the first boss, mid killed the second boss and the end pretty much killed the last duo as they appeared, that was amazing (at 70% trigger rate). And the Scharnhorst daily boss? One barrage and it's almost over, Hood is nowhere near that (if anyone else is)
We need san diego retrofit to cure amagi's cough problem

She was always a must-have backliner for me and I rarely excluded her from my sorties because of her strength and versatility. I need her even more so now due to all the previous fighting as a flag ship and MVP she gained massive amounts of exp and jumped to lvl 119 as soon as the lvl120 cognitive awakening was made available. Really helped me fight in w12 with shipgirls that barely broke through lvl 100.

I run her with both Big E and Monarch (dev level 27) on PVP.
Their ability to damage the enemy backline is so good, that Big E's first Owari Da usually cleans everything.
its not a good idea to use multiple barrage battleships/battlecruisers togther since the barrage ship that's not im the middle is most likely to miss alot of her barrage

Amagi was my first AL event SR and remains a strong member of my IJN fleet, though running Nagato now takes precedence. She is still borderline OP in my experience with her skill & barrage.
Please add in your review how to obtain or get copies of the ship you discuss. It will be usefull information to know what chapter to grind if possible.
Event characters can't be grinded once the event ended unless a rerun of the event happens

Most non-event ships are drops...the larger subset of these being dropped almost everywhere. It would be very tedious to list every location for all of them when that might involve literally everywhere.
Some uniques...like Inazuma, Ikazuchi, Maya, Yuudachi, etc...have one place. I can mention them at least. Howeve, most will be a case of "just play the game and you'll get them without trying"

My only thoughts during the entire time of that event when I still didn't have her but had already finished the missions is (stupid/delusional as it may sound): "I will save her! I will take her into my fleet, raise her levels, take care of her and protect her." And when I did get her, I power leveled her and married her the instant I reached max affinity during the Crimson Echoes event. The grind was tiring for both of us (mostly for me since I stop playing when her mood icon starts appearing), but since she basically takes MVP almost all the time in both PVE and PVP, leveling her up to 90 was relatively easy compared to others. She was my fastest leveled and max affinity ship I ever had. She also always seems to be the fastest one to reach max level even if I don't put her out on PVP that much anymore as she was the first 110 ship I had, compared to the fox sisters who are still 109. She's now 113, one of the best girls in my fleet and rarely goes out on missions now.
I'm just here to mention how SE having 3 different events (Crimson Echoes, Visitors Dyed in Red, and Ink Stained Steel Sakura) is broken. Than and how the other large portion of their ships are Stage drops.
At least I've gotten Yuudachi... TWICE from 6-4 farming.
@Sebastian Acosta Makes sense from Yostar’s business perspective considering 86% of AL’s revenue come from Japan. The rest are China then the rest of the world.
The other thing that's broken is how 75% of the Ironblood lineup is from one event, that being Divergent Chessboard.
@Sebastian Acosta On one hand, I agree with you. On the other hand, the Kriegsmarine has far fewer ships in total compared to the other 3 major factions. Balancing between making a good event and featuring too few KMS ships in said event is hard.
Both of the “broken” cases you mentioned are indeed problems, but I can see where Yostar is coming from, on both of these cases.
As long as they rerun that shit, I'm fine. I have Bismarck, she just needs her sister too.
You also gotta add in that USS and HMS just got one major event. KMS has two, but they kinda shared their major event with HMS, making HMS and KMS both have 1.5 major events. I honestly can't say that I believe that Manjuu needs to keep pumping out IJN ships to keep their Japanese fanbase happy, Manjuu just needs to pump out cool, cute, hot looking and powerful ships in general.

Anyone remember Amagi in WoWS? She have 10 gun in 5 turret, 2 for each. And of 5 turret, 3 are at the rear.
So usually when she are not showing all of her guns by broadsiding, Amagi is way more dangerous when she's moving away from you, since she can present 6 guns to shoot off your ship, rather than just 4 when she approach.
And because of that, I nicknamed her : *The 6 fluffy tails of Doom* ;)

@@vanhnguyen8776 Well.... somewhat true. IJN BB in WoWS tend to have best accuracy when compare to other lines. ( Russian may have better accuracy, but in order to do so you have to get close so...) ;)
Amagi basically wipes the enemy mob fleet into oblivion, which really helps when I cannot add Hood to my team. It's also a big plus when performing combat research for PR ship Izumo because Amagi has the highest chance of getting MVP status just purely out of how much she destroys the enemy with each barrage. Add Amagi with retrofits Ise and Hyuuga, and you have a very solid main fleet with incredible firepower alongside some minor aviation support from Ise and Hyuuga's retrofit status. However, this sort of formation does not work well for boss fleets, only mob fleets. If you want to have Amagi for a boss fleet, you're better off with pure CV's for that purpose - Amagi's barrage does not work well for single enemy units.

The reason why Amagi has more firepower is because she's originally planned to have 5 twin 410mm Cannon, yes the one that inslalled on Nagato and other Big Seven, but 5 of them.
And the torpedo is because the early IJN's Battlehsip & Battlecruiser originally have those, Kongou & Fusou Class before the refit also have torpedoes
And for the low health, that because she's designed to have high speed (for her time ofc) making her armor not to heavy but still can withstand some hits.
Btw i oathed Amagi,Akagi & Kaga, and yes they make a great combo

she seems great at facing the sub boss fleets that pop up in events (and perhaps high level chapters, I haven't gone that far... somewhat still stuck at the fox and bunny mines)
That fleet I use..."SpeedRunners" is anti-Elite... probably the most efficient (time-wise) fleet comp to eliminate event elites.
This coughing fox lady is part and center of any mob fleet I used since I got her.

I gave her the Armor piercing Gun from the germans and she..Basically wipes out a good chunk of the backfleet. About half of their hp or so in one go with akagi and kaga finishing off the rest. Gotta say i definitely enjoy amagi.
There are some couple fails in regards to her evasion skill, which gives rate instead of stat. Meaning Amagi is actually evades more than Hood. That's why she is useful to Akaga carrier sisters.
I prefer her with same backline as Amagi is the big sis of the two.
Best part: Amagi, and Akagi are sister ships. They're both members of the Amagi class Battlecruisers. Amagi is shown in her "What if she was completed as designed" state, while Akagi is shown as how she is after world events intervened...

If you want to increase her firepower and damge dpm use her original gun, twin 410 mm main gun mount (remember two take the purple one) and instead of purple fcr for auxilary, type 1 AP white shell instead to wreck peoples dreams, to increase her crit dmg dealt.

Jean Bart would have to be one of the most controversial powerful SSR ships that I've seen talked about in Azur Lane EN. On one spectrum you have people saying that Jean Bart couldn't see much use due to the over saturated market of powerful BBs, then on another spectrum you have people say that what she's able to do is unique down to it's core and is a ship who is only really replaced by one of the PR2 Ships.
There's another argument with Jean Bart, It's about her low luck stat causing her miss a lot of the time in later stages, making her RNG based, I've seen a few say she is not a good ship because of this.
Fun Fact: Reasons why Amagi is sick is due to the earthquake that happen in Japan during the time she was getting converted into a CV

Really love this ship, even if I haven't used her in a while since she takes mvp every time and I'm trying to farm pr ships.
For pvp I often use her with nagato and hyuuga to nuke enemy enterprise or other damage dealer if they aren't in the flagship position, the buffs she receives with both of them are crazy...
Great first strike team if you add ayanami and Yukikaze...

My most favorite Battleship ever! She's my all time MVP, decimated Challenge Bosses left and right, whenever her skills trigger my PVP opponents suffer greatly. She's gentle and cute, beautiful and smart, graceful and powerful. She's truly the Tactician of Sakura Empire, Big Sister of Akagi and the woman Kaga look up to. Simply put, I love her ♥

Btw, you can use a gamepad/console controller for Nox(you have to map it yourself a bit), if that’s the emu you’re using. It feels very natural for manual play.
One thing I really hope happens in AL is that when they add the Yamato sisters that they end up being the “biggest” shipgirls in the game... like what Kancolle did... but bigger because Azur Lane’s got a much higher threshold for ‘big’ :P
Amagi = first and last waifu, oath only with her
Amagi and Hood are two ships in my base that hit level 120 FIRST in my base when the patch that unlocked level 120 arrive. Also 200 affection. And now she is becoming a NEET since I had little reason to use her after reaching her peak of power (and to cure her asthma too).
Amagi is well-rounded, but to say Amagi is more offensive-focusinh is a overstatement. Hood's barrage is purely offense-focusing that not only says "fuck you" to all Medium and Heavy units, but also tells your backline ships to "hurry the hell up you nooblords".
Also, she in WOWS is the only battleship/battlecruiser that blessed me with Kraken (kill 5 or more ships in a match). Not even the mighty Yamato could give me that so... Amagi held a special place in my heart.
I mentioned offense focused stat-wise. If you take away skills...Amagi should outdps Hood by that larger Firepower difference...her shots will hit harder. The stats alone also show she's got a lower health pool and is weak to planes..while also being equally weak to what Hood is weak to. What you look at her stat-wise...yes she seems offense focused...even leaning towards glass cannon design.

I personally haven't used Foote yet. From a quick glance at her stats...she's seems a bit on the tanky side for a DD.
From how it sounds, you've gotten a bit attached to her...so maybe that is who you should oath. I don't see a lot of ppl who have oathed common ships...so you'd be the first one I'd know for doing such.
This decision should be left to you. What I will say is this: think of all the characters you have...are you equally attached to them as you are Foote?
If not, then I think you might have your answer.

How would one obtain the thigh Standard Fire Control Radar without participating in the Fallen Wings gacha points event? It isn’t in the Core Data Exchange unlike the F4U, so I was hoping you would have a pointer as to where to get it.
I'm not 100% sure how to obtain this item now...
Fallen Wings got Archived, so the items are now of unknown obtainability. I doubt it would be via the core shop..if so...it would be crazy OP if it wasn't limited in any way. (That skill can be crazy to have with multiple ships using it).
Hope to hear some information on this soon.

I tested Amagi's first salvo w/ 4(including Amagi herself) IJN ships+HSFCR and the first salvo fired at 6~7 seconds
That could be reload coming into play...I'm using a fire control radar instead of an autoloader
Hawk2zer0 No Autoloader though, just HSFCR and SG Radar. Might consider changing the SG for the Type 1 AP Shell
Currently i'm using Amagi with Nagato and Kaga BB for farming Izumo.. 3 IJN backliner with different barrage XD

First playing this game near the end of crimson echoes event and this ship is the first SSR i get. After that she carry the hell of my team even after i have decent line up for backline & vanguard. A lot of my first goes to her, first MLB, First oath, first 200 affection, first lv120. Even now i'm still regretting my inability to finish crimson echoes event due to my low level and waiting for this event rerun. One thing i hate.... AMAGI SKIN WHEN ?!?!?!

The reason Amagi has better firepower than Hood is because the actual ships had different sized guns Amagi has 10 16inch guns while Hood has 8 15inch guns they both use duel mount turrets Amagi has 5 turrets, Hood has 4

i like to use Amagi with Nagato, Ayanami retrofit and Mogami retrofit :)
I generally avoid double frontal barrage (one or both of them end up missing half the barrage)...but I'm sure with Nagato it works out well...because Nagato
With regards of the next on the list, I dont really see why you would want to review some other sister ships seperately.
