I know essendon is way more messed up atm than saints were then, but I believe in clubs having massive turnarounds. They just need the right people there to make it happen and not dope heads who think they know everything about running footy clubs and are in reality delusional morons who try and hold onto players who clearly want to leave, and set the club further and further back.... but I believe in essendon only going up from here.

Spot on mate, let's not forget how bad the cats were in 2006 & look how quickly they turned it around. Not saying Essendon can do what the cats did then, but to your point it can turn around quickly. One of the big problems I can see is they look over-coached at the moment, just simplify it down to bare basics without all these tactics/systems/game plans & let the players do what they do best, play

It’s tough being a 26 year old supporter of the bombers. My earliest childhood memories are flashes of hirdy and Lloydy, winning flags and making finals. But since I was 10 years old we haven’t managed to finish higher on the ladder then 7th. Haven’t won a final for 16 years. Had to endure the shame, humiliation and bullying that came for years and years over the supplements scandal, all the while watching your childhood idol fall to the lowest of the low during it all. And then when it seemed like we were finally coming good again and maybe shaping up as a half decent side? Boom it’s all downhill again. Best players walking out the door. Totally unhappy playing list, disenfranchised coaches and players, talk of another 3-5 year rebuild. People revel in our misery and I get it. But jeez this really sucks. Coping with this and a full Melbourne lockdown since March has not made 2020 enjoyable at all, throw in losing a job ontop. Please just get the right players, coaches and admins in to make our club a successful one again. Us fans deserve a little joy ...

Commitment . . Someone who understands what is required {the hard work} to win a final. . Essendon has lost it self belief and we need Leadership ! ! I know Sheedy's dont come past very often . . The whole competition needs a reality check. The old guard of Victorian football combined with corporatisation of the game has distorted its own reality towards a product that has football as a minor part of its product. This show is one of the best examples of how disgustingly this "industry" treats players (young men) and staff (ex players).
I used to play at league level before AFL started and now I cannot even take my kids to the game. Sitting in sterile stadiums treated like a unit of consumption. Forced to endure earsplitting ads and gambling culture forced down my kids throat. NO THANKS AFL your product is anti human and pro money just like every other corporation.

Look at Steele Sidebottom running around half naked during the postponement of the season, a member of the leadership group and Collingwood just beat West Coast at home. Try telling me West Coast had a good culture in the mid-2000s, they won games on the Friday night and we're racking lines on the Saturday.

Club culture is different from off field behaviour, players can rack up lines or run around naked drunk but if they are confident the club is heading for success and all want to play for each other and have a common goal which is what club culture means they will win games. A group can have a group of players who stay home drinking herb tea every night but if they arn't confident of the club or each other they will lose games
