- Professor William Kolbrenner explains that before speech comes kol or voice; for kol comes in a place where speech is not yet possible. When the people of Israel descend to Egypt, speech too, the kabbalists say, goes into exile.At a time when we feel disconnected or depressed and we have no other means of communication, we cry out. The voice of the shofar is there to remind us that on Rosh Ha-shana, we take the first step to reclaiming our speech, by first finding the kol, the ability to cry out with the voice of our true selves.
I have spent the past few years learning how to properly blow the Shofar. I want to be as authentic as possible so that listeners can feel these sacred sounds speak to their souls. I learned a new pattern from this video that I will incorporate into my repertoire. Thank you.

I just heard the Christian’s blow this instrument outside the courts in Europe. It gave me the shivers. When the Angel blows the trumpet to call out the Christian church in the end days, I believe it will be this instrument but a more powerful one. It will penetrate the earth from one corner to the other.

I was in my bed and far from a distance I heard a blowing,sound but it was far away like a ringing in the ear .
I said to my self, that's ok it might be the train blowing its horn but the train never passed b y .
I kept hearing this sound I just said a prayer cause I've heard the shofar before and is a distinct sound .
My feeling about this is very broad , nervous fear , trembling ,but also a comfort and peace .

One time when I was practicing sounding a yemenite shofar, I overheard 3 college students discussing the sound. One of the students blurted something that I did not clearly understand but the aggravation was apparent, one of the other students said something privately to her that was close to a whisper and I heard the first student respond "well, I can't help it, it makes me want to cry every time i hear it". These students then entered their vehicle and departed. I was immediately struck by the response of this student as it was different than others that I have experienced. It is in line with what is stated here except that this person was wanting to hold back her cry which is not an ideal place to be.

I’m fighting spiritually and I’m seeing signs it’s working like my daughter just was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. We are in hospital now, happened right after I prayed against specific evil spirits possessing other people for weeks. God's #Loveisnotacortisol stress hormone.
