      @@playcards4166Another fictional character in the Simpson murder saga. And "Charlie" was just a random name Pablo Fenjves, ghostwriter of If I Did It, chose after OJ Simpson suggested he couldn't have committed the murders alone.

      @@macmizzle9106 Yup,if you read/listen to the whole book,you can tell "Charlie" was made up. And what's interesting also is that OJ said he had met "Charlie" right before the crime.
      "Charlie" was simply the other side of his mind telling him how wrong he was.

      @@playcards4166 There is no charlie. Charlie was oj. You see, if charlie took the knife, like oj said, then it's not premeditated murder, but if oj took the knife then it is. Charlie is used to make sure people didn't think it was premeditated murder, which it was.

    Nicole had a very unhealthy concept of what love was. They were both really broken and their relationship was completely and utterly toxic.

    I think this book would've made a "good movie"....If I could say that without sounding weird/creepy. Perhaps a voice double could narrate as OJ. When we get to the night in question, producers can make the murder scene be ambiguous since it's still an unsolved case. To avoid copyright, instead of calling it 'If I did it', they can call it 'The Brentwood Murders' or 'Who Killed Ron and Nicole?' This book was interesting, but I don't think OJ killed them, but I think he knew who DID. I think he knew more than he let on.

    So he lied about Charlie. He instructed him to park the Bronco inside the gate and run out but the cops found it parked crooked on the street. Charlie is a fictional character.

      I guess we'll never know who killed those two poor souls. Bill Dear, the Texas Investigator, wrote a book and did a film documentary making a strong idea that Jason the son killed them.
      Then a man named Norm Pardo has a documentary proving, to his investigation, that the homicidal killer Glen Roger's did it.
      Now oj's dead and gave no deathbed confession.

      Actually the Bronco blood evidence supports two bloodied people riding that night. Fair chance there was a Charlie, and OJ actually had a questionable "friend" named Charlie. Look into that if you wanna enter the rabbit hole.

    What was the purpose of this? It’s bizarre how it goes from him being at the scene of the crime all bloody to him saying he’s innocent. His description of what happened is so detailed. I can’t imagine him being creative enough to make that up. Who was Charlie supposed to be?

    I wonder if there was really someone else there “Charlie” or just someone he made up to make him sound like he wasn’t alone. Who would go with him and stay silent? Because in his story Charlie didn’t even do anything.

      I don't in any way think his son did it I just feel he might have covered for his dad

    He messed up on that finger cut question. In the beginning he said it was from throwing the glass in the hotel room in Chicago. Later on he said it happened at the house. And he gets cuts all the time from golfing

      Grateful to hear this. Clear it is more truthful than other accounts. Facts don’t support his innocence but the trial was a huge defense loss.

      Reading from the court transcripts and that is exactly how the court reporter who records every word spoken in a court room will type these things out. Name of person speaking followed by what is said.
