Wow, two major inspirations together!!! Both, along with William Porter, enabled me to stop drinking three years ago and counting. Can never thank you enough 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I have recently finished Catherines first book 'The Unexpected Joy Of Being Sober'. I really enjoyed how personal and honest it was. Cannot wait to read more material from her. As a person who wants to stay sober for good and coming to terms on seeing alcohol for what it truly is. I am currently in the middle of your book Annie 'This Naked Mind'. Very much finding guidance from the material also. You are both fabulous and inspiring authors!

I have mad amounts of respect for both of you ladies! And I will definitely be getting Catherine's new book! I think it was important, for me at least, to finally acknowledge that I had very much been a victim as a child experiencing every type of trauma/abuse at the hands of my caretakers. I don't blame them but I do hold them accountable for their actions, because though I have a great deal of compassion for them coming from where they came from, I had internalized that abuse as meaning I was damaged and unworthy of love, like I was a deeply flawed person and it was my fault. This then transferred to my adult relationships where I would let others mistreat me and I always blamed myself. I never knew what healthy boundaries were and fundamentally believed I was unworthy and was super critical of myself which led to me being drawn to alcohol. Now that alcohol is irrelevant in my life (no desire to drink for the past four and a half months), I've had the opportunity to acknowledge the reality of what happened and 100% reject the narratives I had internalized and had carried with me my entire life. I cannot express the joy and peace I experience every day in learning to be kind to myself and starting to establish healthy boundaries in my relationships with others. Thank you, Annie and Catherine, I cannot express how much of an impact you both have had on my life!

Wow! When you think about it, asking why you’re not drinking. Nobody would ask why you’re not smoking would they?
