So glad you talked about lupine. I started seeds is September and I'm planting them out now. I got My Castle, Russell mix large and dwarf, The Governor, Wild, Chatelaine. Hopefully have blooms in March zone 8b Florida.

I am so motivated to find Geum to add to my gardens. Thank you! I ripped out the perennial Bee balm because it was so covered in powdery mildew. It was an eye sore. Maybe I planted the wrong variety. I grew perennial Maximilian sunflower this year. I can’t wait to see how it regrows for next year.

Bee balm is prone to powdery mildew.

What a list! Agree with all. Do Iceland Poppies perennialize where you are? I’m in central WA so summers are hot but some of mine survived and I’m hoping they come back next year

I’ve never really tried. I’ve had them reseed though

Magic Fountains are a lovely variety that does not grow as tall as the Pacific Giants, both are lovely.

I love delphinium regardless of variety I think!

Thank you Erin. That was great. You definitely have a great way of describing your flowers. I have most of the varieties you listed except for Delphiniums and Geums. I don’t know why my delphiniums don’t overwinter or they continue getting smaller from year to year. ?? I am in zone 4a so geums are not perennials here. Do you think I could grow geums and be successful as annuals?

Probably! Just would have to wait until later in the session for blooms

Thank you!! How many years does your yarrow last? I have heard various responses. Mine is 2 full years now and I don’t know whether I should start done this winter again?

I have enough that reseeds in the same areas that even of some doesn’t come back it’s no big deal. It stays well here
