As a judge i wish more people knew my job at an event is to make things run as smoothly as possible and to make the tournament experience the best i can for all the players. Our regionals are admittedly on the smaller side, around 60-70 players usually so i try to go around the venue and greet the players after the formal introduction before the tournament start, just to make it easier for them to call me if anything happens. The he said she said ruings are obviously by far the most unpleasant ones to take, but there is only 1 or maybe 2 of those at an event and usually it's fairly easy to figure out who is in the right.
My advice to players would be when a judge comes for a call, just slowly deconstruct the situation. That will help us sort everything out the fastest and that way the it's easier for the judge to give you an explanation for their ruling.

It's always better to prevent a situation from escalating at all, but self-accountability after the fact is extremely important. We're not perfect, sometimes our emotions get the best of us. It takes a big man to reflect and apologize to the other person. They may not forgive you, but at least you held yourself to a certain standard.

There should be camera's at tournaments to review accusations of cheating and of ruling disputes.

Another thing is that if there's spectators, the judges will always ask the spectators what's going on and will believe the spectators over the players in a he said she said situation

Also a 24 page pamphlet? LMFAO I guess he is a real Road of the King fan 😂

@ZaraKhanComic the pamphlet has nothing to do with Road of the King. It was my idea. I am taking accountability for my actions. I would still do it but I would just clear it with the judges first. My Opponents got salty about the translations and caused them to misplay and blamed it on my cards being foreign which had nothing to do with the result of any of my matches. It is what it is.

@@Dracobackpacksack22 ive read it. Road of the King encourages the use of foreign cards to gain an advantage over the opponent, such as by being able to control what information you give to the opponent about your cards. Sorry but I don't believe your intentions with a 24 page pamphlet were innocent, especially because no one knows what earth machine cards do LMFAO someone who has played as long as you should know to check with a head judge first. you're making it extremely difficult to figure out what the cards do by making your opponents read a book. I do think your opponents should've called a judge during the match though, I certainly would've immediately, but it's a regional and people are not that experienced. If I played a rogue deck that I knew people weren't familiar with out of courtesy I would've used English cards. I guess we live and learn.

as funny as imperm colum is, they should probably have a rule to mark the imperm colum in events, i dont think the intent of that effect was the scuffed "I forgot" moments and even if it was its just a crumby way to win or lose

as a judge alwas check your translate paper, token, deckbox even mats, specially for T2 or higher torunament, konami have some absurd restric rules, for example u cant use any card for other tcg as token on local usually the guys use pokemon as token and thats one thing konami dont allow on tournaments and watch some warnings and even ban for that, one time the player b was winning and player A call a judge for a technicall issue the mat ues have some pokemon things on that and was a warning for player B, aslo a warning for player A he try to sharkrulling and dont call it on the beggnining, just when he was lossing he game, that sort of thing are easy fixiable, another case i watch was one math witout marked zones, another warning for the player
