That look on Aditya Roy Kapur's face at the end was a 100% on point! It conveyed all the emotions! Epic last scene though I feel like he extended his hand to Alia to not only save her but also to help her get a hold of Varun Dhawan.
Yes..I totally agree with you. It seems like he was helping her till Varun arrives and holds her hand. I mean, that's why I like Hindi films..always emotional and surprising in a nice way.
Nooo it's funny actually. If you see there's hell lot of space between Adi and Alia. There is so much empty space dude. Why was he standing a metre apart and pulling her with so much effort. He didn't even need to extend his hand from so far. He could literally come up to her, pull her inside and help Varun to get on the train. Bollywood films are intense and emotional but logic less. Similar was the case with the last scene of Ddlj. There also they did a blunder.

@@mubinasayed126 the train is clearly crowded, Alia probably ran to get Varun and Aditya tried following her but because of all the chaos in train, he was left behind, thus the distance. I mean, it didn't even need any explanation, use your common sense!
Mubina Blunder , then you don’t understand indian market , films like DDLJ did great cos of these things you consider blunder . But for directors these are necessary drama required to show depth of emotions.It is called marketing for the crowd

AdityaRoyKapoor & AliaBhatt both looked so gorgeous & regal😍 This trailer looks so epic.. with a plot set in an epic time period & a story that's going to be loved or hated but not ignored. The symbolism of Alia's character being divided is a reference to India getting divided in between two of her largest communities.

And i am looking forward to seeing them in this intense and angst setting and love story.
I'm surprised how and why they both did not acknowledge the magic Aditya brought in the last few seconds for the train scene.. Every muscle on his body was into the feeling of that character...apart from that the whole trailer was ordinary..just like any other sanjay leela types trailer..last scene was epic tho

A love story in the back drop of partition of India and the gory violence that was happening in that time.
To spice things up they made it a love triangle.
But how it is love triangle beacuse aditya love sonakshi as it is seen in trailer

It's inspired by the book called what the body remembers which tells the partition tale.
Today I year of Kalank is completed. I am still not bored watching this reaction.
I love these two and their discussion. It's so proper and deep. They get everything that a director is trying to convey. Not just ' what a trailer, great, byee'.
So its like - sonakshi gets his husband aditya married to alia cz shes unable to conceive or something like that n she wants to improve adityas life! Sanjay dutt alias father agrees to the wedding cz adityas frm a well known family and he also wants n heir fr the family ! Alias sad depressed and falls in love with varun! But then at the end aditya also falls in love with alia even tho he denied in the beginning and said is rishte m pyar nhi hoga etc! And i think alia wud choose aditya only (the train scene/that cud be the partition or war scene also cz varun is a muslim n maybe they'll be divided between nations ) in the end - (hum dil de chuke sanam vibes)
P. S 1:03 when varun entered theres a villainous music n there's raavan in the bg hinting at he might be the ravan or evil in adityas n alia's marriage

looks like aditya and alia's marriage is a deal, not even a marriage (sonakshi seems the first wife and she is there) and its wrong and he expects her to just abide by it. so Roop falling in love with Zafar and Zafar falling for her... is not a kalank... and thats the longing and yearning for each other.... zafar/roop love story happening after her marriage. and let me guess dev finally feels for his second wife cos his first wife dies... which is a lame excuse in a way. Roop's Love is what matters, she fell in love and has to battle so much things due to things and both her and Zafar will be wrecked

Please Jaby and Achara watch and review *Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge* it's _the_ classic of the last 30 years (it's with SRK and Kajol).
This is exactly how SRK became a super star, sorry to say but right from Dar, DDLJ and many others, it is the same plot.. someone goes between two lovers/couples and woos the lady, to justify that the husband or the partner would be made to look like a villain or a joker, and since there were many losers on that front in India, they got drawn towards the star, more like out of sympathy or an underdog winning. It is only after he became super star, he started doing other characters.

I love the reenactment of Ramayan( Indian Mythology) was excellent mush have taken atleast 20% of the budget. The bird scene and the blue people raising from water symbolic of lord Rama and the scene in teaser with arrows towards the 10headed Ravan statue. Love the cinematography...
