i rip up my old papers, dye them w paint water, then use them for collages. theres something so satisfying about ripping up paper.

I like to rip out the papers out of my old notebooks and for composition notebooks I cut out the pages. I use those pages to act like loose leaf notebook paper. As for my work sheets I like to use the blank side for scratch paper for when I do math or rough drafts for English or I use the paper for reminders. I recycle anything else.
I do the same thing! I have a little magazine holder for the scratch paper lmao, and I separate out paper based on how much blank space there is in it lol
You throwing away such beautiful notes actually hurt me... I don’t know if it is because I am a packrat or because I appreciate fine art such as your notes

Maybe if you’re taking a foreign language, u can use the app duolingo, its basically just some quizzes of a few questions separated into alot of different sections and it’ll keep your mind remembering the information over break, this is sooo helpful for me since i basically forgot everything the beginning of last school year
I sold all my notebooks and got some money😆😆😆 except for notebooks that I didn't use during the school year and this week I had my first lessons

Someone send help! Watching this video made me realize that I should do this after every semester. But I can't seem to bring myself to recycle notes that I took the time to take and make organized etc. I know I won't use most of the notes I keep but I'm having a hard time letting go of notes and assignments I worked hard on.

Hi Mandie! I feel you, it' so hard to let go but them you'll have to have a huge space for storage and no one will use these notes anymore. One solution is to find someone to donate your notes to, a cousin, a school,etc.. If you can't find it another solution is to make an instagram page for resumees. My friend has one and she loves to take pictures of her notes and then don't feel guilty about throwing them out because they are 'safe' on instagram hahahahah

I took lots of notes on my AP Euro textbooks, paid attention during lectures and basically just studied Barron's and REA Crash course for the AP and I got a five. I don't know about you, but I remember the stuff that I wrote down, so it might be less beneficial if you are just given the notes. Just a thought.

This video was so satisfying! I love doing this at the end of each semester. I don’t throw away any papers during the semester so I always end up with stacks! I decide what I want to keep and shred the ones I don’t need and it’s so satisfying to me

a s t x r i s m ღ it does take time, but not as much as you think it does! Even if it does take time, that extra paper is useful. I use it for scrap paper, such as doodling or random things I need to write down. No need for wasting money and materials on brand-new notebooks for studying! :)

Lol I legit took out the spiral from my French book and now it’s just laying on my desk waiting for who knows what I don’t even know how to get a bunch of papers into it nor do I have a hole puncher for those things XD

The notebook with plastic dividers in, you could easily have ripped out all the paper and recycled that

Since i really like keeping things, my solution is scanning all my documents (that I want to keep) with my iPad and uploading them onto some sort of cloud storage so I have them and can still toss the papers away!

If you've got a notebook like at 5:36 I think it's probably worth ripping out the paper to recycle it, given it's a spiral-bound.
I know this was a while ago, but as someone who has been through this, I recommend keeping essays from high school because you may be able to use them for reference in college. Or just save the files on your computer.

Same! I even have ones from reception and year 1 which contain photos. I’m thinking of keeping one book per year and any special pages ill take a photo or save to a file of sort.
i use all of the notebooks with blank leftover pages, loose sheets with one side blank, etc for rough writings like working out maths and physics problems or rough essay layouts or just hand running revision writings. I have a huge folder just for keeping all the loose sheets which has leftover blank spaces

when i was in latin iii i used my latin ii notes all the time, and even tho its a different language you might use those notes a lot more than your i notes

Use the pages left as scrap paper!! Think about the planet! When recycling notebooks with plastic parts you just have to separate the parts! Dont be wasteful, it shouldnt be "out of sight, out of mind"!!

I just switched to using Whitelines notebooks for the simple reason that I can scan everything and save a digital copy to Dropbox and/or Evernote. Hopefully they add more cloud services to their app in the future.
I always keep all my old papers since the beginning of the year because I have EOCS coming up so I can study from them 🥰😍❤️👍👋👋👏🙃

Another way to save those extra notebooks...is don’t mark the cover in or out with sharpie or pen....I know I get annoyed if I reuse my science notebook for math problems but it’s science is written in sharpie 🤦🏽♀️!

Currently in calc Ab and nothing in pre calc is in it. If anything, pre calc is the year you solidify all your algebra so you can do well in calc :)

at my school we literally dont have books at all. our teachers post pages of the workbook or textbook on google classroom and we can refer back to it. so yes, we have worksheets that we have to get rid of at the end of the year, and i like to keep a few of my projects and art that i was proud of, but we just kind of throw away our notebooks ( i go to an advanced school, so we all never want to look at those again. i think we all have anxiety here. at least theres scholarships?) and look at our work with our moms (yeah i do that) and we dont have any reminder of school in our room all summer. i started a foreign language 3 years before high school, and i fell in love with spanish, so i will be studying it over the summer, but otherwise i cant relate. (be jealous ikr)

A lot of schools will give you textbooks to borrow that you return at the end of the year. If not, you must buy textbooks which you keep. I've never heard of schools giving you textbooks that you keep after the year is over though. I hope this helps. Good luck!

How do you have such little notes/ paperwork? I studied three subjects last academic year and I had five larger lever arch files (all full), and three other smaller folders...everything seems so much more minimal!
