So far iv found it alot of hard work.i was a concretor for 30years and think its harder keeping on top of planting growing caring for animals proccessing storing foods.building its very rewarding though.
I really enjoyed this video, first one I've ever seen on your channel. I'm about 3 years into making a major life change and have (had) similar mental struggles. Fortunately I have not had to deal too often with people who don't understand or even tell me it was a stupid decision, I assume they just keep it to themselves. Keep making videos, you'll find what works for you and your audience.
You guys are doing great! One does not just head over to a new place like this, without prior experience, in a whole different climate, culture etc. etc. and things are going to be a walk in the park... And if it were, then you would have learnt nothing new, and would probably have had a lesser experience! Congratulations on not being limited by normality!
Too true! When we are pushing the boundaries of our comfort zone is when we grow. Its wild to think how much we have learned and changed since coming here. Thanks for the encouragement 🙏😊
Good reminder 👌 Taking the time to be truly thankful is so important. It can literally rewire our thinking and help us have a more positive outlook, even in the midst of change.
Hi Bren & Laurel. I only just found your channel today as i watched Ryan interviewing the two of you. I have bought my land and my partner is devoloping as i make the money working in Australia. I intend to make the move at the end of '25. Do you find you follow local growing and farming techniques, or are you using western farm techniques? As you say this is a big move, but a necessary one for me. Have you learned to speak any Thai? I have many questions but will not take up your time. Best of luck on your jouney, and i have subbed and will watch as you share your growth. Thank you. This content helps a lot.🙏
Stay strong .. become resilient… you will see light at end of the tunnel !! It will eventually happen.. patience is always put to test whenever you start something new .. good luck and wish you the very best.. am sure you will be successful 👍
very good piece. I left my country of birth 20 years ago with 20 dollars in my pocket and i can relate to what you two are going through. you are right about developing patience and I would add having each others back. sometimes the dream becomes a reality 100% better than you ever imagined... you will get lost and found over the course of your journey... if the journey is a circle, you are that circle, so keep returning to each other. take care, I'm going now to feed my chickens.
Thank you Gonzalo ❤️ That is great advice. Our relationship is one of the very few consistentencies in our lives these days. No matter where we are, we can still find a "home" in each other. Appreciate your support and wisdom. 🙏
Living life is what we all should aim for and embark upon where possible for tomorrow may never come. You guys are living it out and that's all it matters. Continue this journey of life and one day, you will reflect these and will have less regrets for you have truly lived life that money can never buy!!! The experiences, the moments, ups and downs that grow you guys inside out.Proud of you both.
So true, Derrick, and thank you for the support. Tomorrow is never a guarantee. If we live with that in mind, we enjoy our days no matter the circumstances.
Plants.. they need to be watered, fertilized, exposed to sun, maybe relocated ...etc. Some of these plants takes ages to bear fruits but some will bear fruits in short times. the most important for the plants is to keep existing & grew more. Our dreams are these plants. You are very lucky you put yourselves into this in very early ages. You are doing great.
Takes a lot of energy and patience to grow a garden. Back breaking. And fascinating. I come from a long line of gardeners. You definitely want to ‘own’ the land you develop. You definitely want to be able to garden throughout the seasons. It’s probably better not to give up your ‘day job’. Where I live in NZ, you can grow right through winter too, but different veges. No snakes in NZ. Must be very hot gardening in Thailand. 🫣
Couldn't agree more! It's great to be able to plant all year and learn which time and season is best to plant certain vegetables in. It is hot haha but it will start to 'cool off' soon as we enter the winter season. The best time here for nearly all veg!
Keep improving and growing while meeting your challenges in YouTubing. Learn from the Greats and make it your own. In my opine I see your success in the making. Stay authentic/approachable/kind/optimistic. Keep going.
Much appreciation for your sharing guys. Indeed people can't get what it means to connect with nature and been trying to be self reliant... paradise for sure ":) thanks for the harmony on your sweet vibrations :) ... which part of Thailand? I was just there.... also... planning to create and event in Mexico... wonder if you would be interested in featering you as speakers .... i know is a trip... but just wonder ... much love ... Hey Perkunas! Thank you 🙏. We are in Chiang Mai Province. We are feeling that life has some big changes for us in the near future, so who knows! Maybe? Send us an email! 😊💕
Keep going, do what you love and the dots will connect themselves, your low cost base will help that happen. But remember to relax and take time out from the farmwork, I am guessing you moved from Canada to have a less stressful life. Perhaps hire help for garden and spend more time on youtube recording more regularly for the passive income in future. Enjoy and Well done for following your dreams.

I would like to hear examples of what is hard and why. Hopefully that will come. Thank you.
Thanks for watching 😊 Is there anything specifically you would like some more details on? We will try to include it in future videos.

'We could've started by making videos in our bedroom?' Hmm, certainly pays better than youtube :-)

what do the ice baths do for you? could be a good way to wake up in the morning.
They are great for physical recovery, mental health, and yes, great for waking up!
