    It is normal to worry for the unknown and uncertainty. Hope things will work out for you!

    Really cool insight into the water filtration project you helped with!
    I know it seems frustrating and stressful now but I do believe everything happens for a reason and the right things will happen at the right time. No matter what you have opened up an insight into Thailand that has been phenomenal to see, and such completely different way of life than North America. It also seems you've met many awesome people along the way too, and those connections will be lifelong regardless of where you are at 😄 Keep your heads up, you got this!

      Thanks for the encouragement Joel! You're right that things will work out no matter what, and that we also have gained so much from this journey so far. I'm glad you have enjoyed everything so far. Let's see what happens next 😊

    The assumption is that the education visa gets you a year and the elite visa gets you beyond that. Any cheaper loopholes are just icing on the cake

    • @ThePilgrimsProcess
      @ThePilgrimsProcess  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Erich! I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but we have the Smart visa. Which is not really cheaper, and certainly not a loophole. Just a lot of additional benefits other visas dont offer. Anyways, thank for watching! 😊

      "What is a SMART Visa in Thailand?
      SMART Visa is a new type of visa specially designed to attract highly skilled manpower, investors, executives and startups entrepreneurs wishing to work or invest in the following targeted industries in the Kingdom of Thailand."
      Doesn't seem to be describing what you are doing.
      10k a year for this visa is about 900tbh a month, that isn't expensive.

    • @ThePilgrimsProcess
      @ThePilgrimsProcess  ปีที่แล้ว

      @R C That's quite the assumption! Thankfully, our videos don't document every detail of our life. 😅

    I am a bit confused why you are trying to start a farm in Thailand. I have read foreign persons are prohibited from carrying out agricultural work in Thailand. If this is the case why even consider Thailand?

    • @ThePilgrimsProcess
      @ThePilgrimsProcess  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question! We are not necessarily trying to start a farm, at least in the traditional sense. We are on a journey to learn as much as we can about organic growing/permaculture & sustainability, as well as just testing our own abilities. Canada has a short growing season, Thailand allows us to practice all year long, and it's also much more affordable. Plus, we just love this country and its people.
      Any food we produce will be used to feed us, and any excess will be donated to friends and our local village.
      We are going to be sharing a lot more of our purpose behind this all once we get back to our home in Chiang Mai, so if you're interested, stay tuned! Thanks for watching 😊

      @@ThePilgrimsProcess Also interested with that question as to how you are managing to utilise farmland there. Have you taken out a lease or is there another way you have secured the land. Its common for Thai's to lease farmland off other Thai's but I am curious how you are doing it as a falang.

      Hey R C! Ultimately, we just wanted to communicate our current situation and emotions to our viewers, and i think we have had many encouraging and meaningful comments. We also don't want to throw anyone under the bus, as we understand the agencies going through our application are just doing their job. 😊
