I demoed both and ended up buying the Percept 97. It felt a little more head light so I was able to set up my backhand quicker. I'm not sure that it is based on the specs but that's how it felt when hitting with them.
Thanks for the video 🙂, what strings did you put on the Percept? I hoped someone would make a review comparing those two rackets. About a month ago I bought the Percept, haven't had time to play that much, but I like it. I've played with Pro Staff regular and RF from the first 97 and V13, never been able to tame that "beast" 🙂 The Percept is in my a opinion a more accessable racket for recreational players, and I've never had a racket where I've hit so much inside the court. Yes, you need to generate your own power, and maybe that's something we should talk more about, what is the best beginner racket? Many would say Clash, Ultra, Ezone etc. I disagree, one should start with a control racket so you learn how to generate your own power, it will take longer to learn how to play, but you'll become a very good player, independent of age and physical level. But even the light version of Pro Staff is next level and not for beginners. Thanks again, and have a nice weekend.
@@edmundlangdal5461 @brooklynzue is correct on the strings but we also used Poly Tour Pro as this is a string we’re very familiar with and wanted to make sure our views were being influenced by the racket and not the string. Interesting thoughts on rackets for beginners - this largely depends on the player themselves. The only downside to an otherwise strong argument is to say that you want to make sure beginners enjoy the game and therefore stay playing for longer, so therefore a racket that generates easy power is often beneficial. There’s certainly no doubt that the more you play, the better your chances of improvement
Not all got the same preference... I just played for 3 months, and tried few racket. I find percept suits me just fine. Yes, I was lack power at first. But now I can generate good amount of power and still retains good control with percept
Great video. I bought the new PrStaff right before the Percept was released and wondered if I made a mistake but after stringing up with champions choice the ProStaff is the best stick I've ever swung. I added weight to the hoop and it's a scalpel. I don't like either design though. What string did you use on the Wilson? Looks like RPM blast soft, maybe?
@@PH-Tennis Nice review, I m looking for more arm-friendly light raq considering tennis elbow, Is Percept 100L Arm-friendly compare to Head G.MP 100 L 2023 as RA value is more in Percept than Head G.MP, or Pro-staff V14 UL but the new filter technology seems to be attractive than Auxetic of Head and Pro-staff? Any suggestion please
Yeah these guys don't know racquets well enough. A 16×19 Pro Staff will inherently be less precise than a Prestige 18×20. And they dare to say that the Percept would get 5 for Control if it went against the Prestige...
Not really though... Coming from me that just played tennis for 3 months. I can use percept just fine. I can generate enough power and still got control. I have tried some racket but somehow I feel the hitting sensation from percept is just right for me. But yes, different people different outcome
vcore or vcore pro? The vcore pro and percept are not hurting the wrist. Pro staff is stiffer and smaller sweet spot and to me is more prone to wrist hurting
Oh, I am a racket-nerd. Played all the former vcore pros and felt disapointed. I like the Pro Staff RF and the v14 with customization. I guess the percept line might become a failure. All vids I saw an what I read. I kept the vcore 95 ( 2023).

I’m sure it was the Poly Tour Rev in Mint Green. And I agree with you 100% on control stick and LOVE my Percept 97s.
@@BrooklynZue Thank you! 😊

Beginners should use the most comfortable racquet as possible for them
The protection tape takes Influence on swingwait...
hey guys ! great review. just a suggestion. could you please add manouverability also as one of the parameters. thanks !
Could you please do Percept100 v Vcore100?
Whats the arrows about on Wilson headguard???
Hello.. as smol asian guy 163cm that want to start tennis. which Racket did you recomend brand weight string and tension wise ?

👏to the editor. Keeping Joe's face in between the scores and the Power / Spin category and Josh in between the columns. ProStuff
thank you so much for this compare. Great

String on the ProStaff was Luxilon 4G (the Desert Brown that was released with the racket)
@@PH-Tenniswhat tension did you string the prostaff?
Would the Percy win on looks if you wore the matching t-shirt?
Depends who was wearing it…
Which feels better on volleys?
Pro Staff
Just switched from Pro staff to Percept :)
Interesting - How are you finding it?
percept or ezone 98.?
How’s the comfort for both?
Percept more comfortable than ProStaff but it's close!

More precise than Pro Staff? Enter Prestige and old Radicals. Can't beat those 18x20s.

I think the Percept is a great looking racquet. Much better than the Prostaff
So, let me get this stright. You are comparing the racquets with different strings????? One of them has tape. 🤔
Yes you got it. Well done
Great videa
These guys hit the ball well
Blade V9 v/s Percept, Blade V8 v/s Perception and Blade V8 v/s Blade V9
Chill out Benjamin
Unless u have pro level footwork. Add a ton of lead to the head, and can rip the ball. you won’t be able to play with the percept 97
Oh no! I have none of those things...but I do really like the Percept 97 and I am able to play with it. An anomaly perhaps.

What about confort? Vcores are famous for hurting the wrist..

I hate the new color scheme on the Pro Staff..... It's like -5
It grows on you...
Percept swing weight is too low and flex is too low. Makes it a noodle
That just means you have a lot freedom to personalize the weight. I like the soft racket. Saves your arm.

I kept the vcore 95 ( 2023).
Perfect match is Vcore pro 97 HD teal (2019 model).
