Based off what Dave Filoni said in an interview the orange-red was more of a stylistic choice to make the core of the saber a bit more orange then white, like the lightsabers were in the original Star Wars films before vfx was remastered. He said since they aren't actually Sith he wanted it to be a bit different. So I guess it's up to our interpretation of what that means now.
also, had a thought. If Qui gonn Jin had a Green light saber but followed the living force instead of the cosmic force, why was his light saber Green and not cloudy Blue?
I believe that the orange red sabres are a result of forceful bleeding. Aka bleeding thr sabre but not having enough hatred/anger for a full transformation - or something along these lines
I believe there was once a brown lightsaber which is the most rear. It was owned by Lowbacca, one of the only known wookie Jedi. It means that the welder has a strong connection to plants and nature.
In Jedi Fallen Order I gave Cal a yellow lightsaber after a certain spoilery quest. It was because I looked at the skill tree and got reminded of this part 2:12 I basically unlocked equal amounts of force and lightsaber abilities so I just went "have a yellow saber".
I heard that the reason for the purple blade’s creation was because Samuel L. Jackson knew he was going to be in a big fight scene with lots of people, so he wanted a purple blade so he could stand out and his kids could easily point him out on screen. (Nit sure how true that is, but that’s the rumor I hear.)
What I love about this, is that this is canon with Knights of The Old Republic. I'm so overjoyed, you don't understand. I've always wanted to know the full meanings of each saber crystal. Also, you're missing a Jedi crystal color. I was looking up lightsaber colors and one of them is multicolored like a rainbow. I don't remember the name of the Jedi wielder, but I'm pretty sure she was a princess.
I personally think it's neat how there WAS a couple of Jedi throughout all of the order's history that had the super rare naturally red saber crystal. They weren't bleeding or corrupted crystals, but a super rare naturally occurring one that had a red shade that was slightly different than the ones used by dark side users. I think I read that throughout the entire order, only a maximum of three Jedi had found the rare naturally red ones, and that their shade was a beautiful red that gave a viewer a feeling of awe and wonder instead of anger or fear. The last known user was a female Jedi that had one sometime withing Yoda's earlier years in the temple.. with there being no more known natural reds in the last 100-200 years. Look it up, it's pretty neat. As for orange sabers.. I think yellow saber users get them when their anger takes control of them but they still haven't lost themselves FULLY to the dark side, but are close.
Or, representative of an individual who has tapped in to equal powers connected with both The Dark Side and The Light Side Of The Force. Seeing what happened to Dagan Gera, the fallen Jedi from The High Republic, in JEDI: Survivor, it seems crystal clear that he spontaneously partially bled his Sentinel yellow lightsaber in to orange, through his pain (over The Nihil and The Nameless), outrage (at being shunned by The Jedi Order), and obsession with the singular goal of returning to Tanalorr, to rule the galaxy through war.
Star Force 1 quick question hear me out does a white lightsaber color in Star Wars canon mean a mix between purple and yellow balance and neutrality and who better to deserve a white lightsaber color than the chosen one Anakin Skywalker who's neither Jedi Nor sith but something even much more a force wielder if he became that
@@Lily_Hasson666 so it doesn't have any connection to purple or yellow balance or neutrality also in Star Wars Rises Skywalker rey skywalker has a yellow lightsaber so that means she is a balance between lightsaber combat and force abilities right
It seems, the Sith Worshiper/Acolyte, Kiza, has a Sith lightsaber that eventually turns strawberry red. I take it to be symbolic of the fact that she's a relative non-Force-user, who has become one with the blade, though she is slowly becoming possessed by both the Dark Side infused mask (bearing the spirit of the Sith Lord Exim Panshard) she wears, and the lightsaber (which she used to kill a jealous fellow-Acolyte, and potential boyfriend), with just a touch of her own torn essence showing through.
Idk but this is my theory on the orange saber I think that like the purple one is for Jedi who aren’t scared to use the dark side so orange might be a sith who isn’t scared to use the light side
Blue - The Hero Green - The Guardian Yellow - The Sentinel Purple - The Anti-Hero Red - The Villain White - The Spirit Warrior Black - The Dark Leader Orange - The Anti-Villain
I heard another youtuber say that orange lightsabers are just failed red light saber bleeds, so like sith who ended up with orange lightsaber blades instead of red were considered as having failed or at least looked down on. (Could be old legends info though and not canon)
Orange-red could be a failed attempt to bleed a crystal if the user isn’t attuned to the Dark Side. It could also be the true color that it takes for Dark Side users.
I think you missed one example of the blood red sabre colour being dagan gera. Just thought it was worth mentioning since that colour and Baylan’s is similar, at least from what I remember
How is Cloudy Blue linked to the Living force? Senube was wise beyond his years wouldn't the blade be closer to Green? If you could explain that in a bit more detail that would be great :) Keep up the good work. Love the vids
Orange is gray Jedi. Jedi that had power on both sides of the force but has committed allegiance to neither the light or dark side. It's supposed to represent the perfect balance yellow and red makes orange. The were nomads and wanderers mostly on there own throughout the galaxy. Oh and also Gaylen Merrick or AKA star killer has a cyan or what wed call a teal blade for his saber so we do know one in legends just not cannon
Jedi guardians, consulars etc... all of this is from the expanded universe and not canon, In canon there is no explanation due to the colors or what the Jedi represent, most of the video content was taken from Legends.

i was trained abit more as guardian, but i also learn force powers and tech skills, pretty much im a jack of all trades jedi, so my color would be hard to determine, but given that i use both light and dark, it'd be purple, but i want my lightsaber to be red, i am not sith, i use a red saber as a symbol, that red is not a pure evil color
What if Cal has access to the orange saber to due to rage and anger felt after Bode betrayed him and he "Releases the Darkness." A possible failed attempt to bleed it? This next parts kinda out there, but what if Cal was attempting to bleed the crystal but instead stopped at some point in the transformation and then began to instead purify it but was only able to partially purify it? Or just simply didn't have the anger to fully bleed it
What if you got a yellow kyber crystal, but you don't want to be a temple guard or a gate guard? What if you got a purple crystal, but wanted to be a Consular? I think that the crystals don't really have any true meaning other than the fact that they are an energy source for your saber... I think it's really up to the Jedi to see what path they would choose.

Literally me right now!!

Man i forgot how amazing your content is! Do you remember me from my comments on previous vids? Much love from perth
(Ps thank mr cal kestis)
I do! Thanks for watching, glad you enjoy!!!
also, had a thought. If Qui gonn Jin had a Green light saber but followed the living force instead of the cosmic force, why was his light saber Green and not cloudy Blue?
In a behind the scenes interview he said he picked the green one because he’s Irish.
There is one canonical jedi from the high republic series named Vernestra that wielded a magenta lightsaber
I believe that the orange red sabres are a result of forceful bleeding. Aka bleeding thr sabre but not having enough hatred/anger for a full transformation - or something along these lines

missed the yellow gold light saber used by the twins.
plo koon and yaddle have used a orange lightsaber
2 of my favorite jedi

Thank you Cal Kestis.
My favorite lightsaber colors are yellow white orange purple and black like the dark saber

For orange i think it's more the bleeding process that failed

Great video and commentary/explanation!

No it doesn't mean that A white lightsaber is when a force user reverses the bleeding of a red lightsaber crystal
@@Lily_Hasson666 so it doesn't have any connection to purple or yellow balance or neutrality also in Star Wars Rises Skywalker rey skywalker has a yellow lightsaber so that means she is a balance between lightsaber combat and force abilities right
Love the thoroughness!!!
My would probably be green through the force. But my favorite is yellow

@@StarForceOne Thanks for the invite. Just joined. May The Force Be With You.
I swear yellow crystals haven't been harvested since the high Republic era, Instead being passed down to temple guards and so on?
8:48 what does it mean if the blade is a mix of blue and green?
Idk but this is my theory on the orange saber I think that like the purple one is for Jedi who aren’t scared to use the dark side so orange might be a sith who isn’t scared to use the light side
Sith inquisitors, Sith sorcerers often used purple lightsaber, in Legends ofc.
My favorite class is Jedi Sentinel or Sith Assassin. Special Ops for the respective allegiances.
Blue - The Hero
Green - The Guardian
Yellow - The Sentinel
Purple - The Anti-Hero
Red - The Villain
White - The Spirit Warrior
Black - The Dark Leader
Orange - The Anti-Villain
Yellow-Red is most likely just a lightsaber powered by lava krystal
Cyan would be my colour choice
Orange should be from a Jedi sentinel who can harness and control the dark side.
Thank Mr. Kal Kestis. What on Ryloth does that mean?
If I could pick a light saber colour I’d go with Navy Blue or Indigo with the Jedi survivor game colouring. 🔥
I don’t know if your the same but I have tons of yellow green Lego lightsaber
Didn’t plo koon use an orange lightsaber at one point
Purple/Amethyst Lightsabers: Sam Jackson wanted a Purple Lightsaber
Pretty sure Kenobi's lightsaber is cyan in episode 4
is brown lightsaber exist
Orange-Red might signify thery were once edi Order members, after Order 66 they embraced the Dark Side but are not Inquisitors.
Love this one!
What if an orange lightsaber is just a purified orange-red saber.
I heard another youtuber say that orange lightsabers are just failed red light saber bleeds, so like sith who ended up with orange lightsaber blades instead of red were considered as having failed or at least looked down on. (Could be old legends info though and not canon)
Red = bad guy. Green and blue = good guy. These are the only meanings.
What if the orange saber is pure depression
These cyber crystal colours are way too confusing or straight nonsensical the more I think about it.
Green Lantern much?
Wasted video. Purple lightsabers exist because Samuel L. Jackson asked George Lucas if he could stand out in a shot full of other Jedi.
Orange-red could be a failed attempt to bleed a crystal if the user isn’t attuned to the Dark Side. It could also be the true color that it takes for Dark Side users.
Kanan, “Having a laser sword doesn’t make you a Jedi.”
Ezra, “It gets me closer…” (Prematurely activates)
Kanan, “In getting me killed!”
Man I loved that show
I think you missed one example of the blood red sabre colour being dagan gera. Just thought it was worth mentioning since that colour and Baylan’s is similar, at least from what I remember

Where was it said that Teron Malicos used Nightsister Magick to alter his kyber crystal?

8:31 well if it was legends, the ones user i know is Meetra Surik, the jedi exile
Yoda having a green light saber and only ever loosing a light saber dule to 1 person show how strong he is

Blue and green = good guy
Red = bad guy
Its simple
I thought sinube was using white
hey rey had a orange lightsaber at the end of rise of skywalker
bro missed cyan
That’s not a canon color
I feel like Quinlan should’ve had a yellow blade as much undercover detective work he did
I know its problaby lighting but am i the only one that notices that the shade used for blue is inconsistant it feels like no one else has noticed it
what about silver ones?
Ah so unfortunately you used the non Canonical Disney crap 😢
Disney canon is canonical.
