Imagine what the world would look like if we put teachers in charge of philanthropy. What a beautiful legacy the Friedman family has given to the nation.

I agree, but then they would have to pay us MORE! 🥴🤷🏾‍♀️ You know how that goes. 😏

Now THAT'S how you give. Footed the bill for the restoration and raised the funds for the tech? Great job! Will definitely visit next time I'm in D.C.!

I agree and may every night be filled with adults. I love words and would love to visit there! Before I could read I loved to look at words and wonder what their meaning was. I liked how they looked dressed up in their unique font styles and font sizes. This wonderment has stayed with me all my life. I am sixty six and still play with words and fonts as an abstract work of art. I am grateful for my computer and drawing programs.
      Thanks for this video.

Washington D.C. can really have all sorts of unique museums (such as this Wordy museum), along with learning about the certain Presidents that have followed, in America’s life.

At 65 years of age I still remember and am so thankful for my first grade teacher, Mrs. Ollinger. She taught me the gift of 'words' and putting them together to read. 'Words' have played an intricate part of my life since. I would love to see this museum one day ~

OMG I cannot stop the tears that are rolling down my face. The last 30 seconds of this video had me emotional, so much heart and a MASSIVE labor of LOVE from the Friedman family. Rescuing the Franklin School in and of itself was super costly, then, the museum. Unbelievable. That family is going to heaven, for sure.

Looks incredible, will plan a trip in the next 12 months. Something America needs to teach our children the proper way to speak. Words are important in every walk of life. None of us are perfect, God knows at 56 I’m learning something new every day.
Thank you for creating something people of every age and Nationality can learn from.
Question, there is 1 thumbs down, I would really like to hear from that person and why they would dislike such an incredible place?

Don't spend time worry about the thumbs down there's all type of malcontents in the world, people are miserable and they want to have misery with company, by the way focusing on more important issues you do realize that at one time there .was only one language in the whole world

Totally wanna go here! I'm also an ESL teacher, and plan to show this tonight in class. Ironic given the subject, that there are no captions provided, though...tsk tsk. (c'mon CBS). ;)
PS: As luck would have it, I do captions for videos, as well as edit inaccurate auto-captions, so hmu if you're hiring for this ;)

Now this is the kind of Sunday morning episodes I want to watch! Uplifting, educational, heartwarming, humanitarian work, to provide us for a brighter future. Not the shows since Jane Pauley has been on, just another news and celebrity garbage I hear all week. Well I don’t watch cbs Sunday morning on regular network tv so I can shut Jane up! And move onto something useful for my life. Got the message!

WOW ! I watched this , this morning , and all I could think of , is how millionaires dump millions into tax free garbage , oh , and that $10 a year lease , what a sweet deal, ... why I want all millionaires like her getting the french treatment , which is something that comes with a blade and a basket

The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development estimates the project will create 190 temporary construction jobs and more than 149 permanent jobs. It will also generate $800,000 in construction-related taxes and $27 million in permanent tax revenues over 30 years.

If that's all as you say you can think of then you're making yourself all miserable, so maybe you should try to be miserable by yourself there's a saying you should think about misery loves company and I don't accept your invitation ! live your life the best you can with what you got and be happy with what you got and realize that as people around the world especially in developing nations look at what you have wondering how you got such a sweet deal! have you seen reasons to close your mouth now on this ? We hope so!
