- What do you know about the small town of Safi, Morocco? We learnt as soon as we arrived that Safi is well known for its ceramics and pottery. But what we also found out after wandering the back streets of Safi Medina is that the small town of Safi is famous for its sardines!
We had delicious sardines in Safi Morocco and enjoyed wandering the back alleyways of the town with friendly local friend that we met in the market. Another show of amazing Moroccan hospitality!

Walks in a traditional style markets, souq, baazar whatever we like to call them is always a rewarding experience and dining in one of the cute street side food cafes doubles that feeling. Thank you for sharing Steiners. Morocco is surely a hidden gem.

Safi is the oldest city in Morocco, moreover since it is well known for pottery and the creations of artistic works, also known for sardine fishing and was the first city in the years 1968, also currently the heart of the Moroccan economy with the production of 25% of the electrical energy of the total production of electrical energy, also produces and exports since 1967 phosphate and its derivatives phosphoric acid and sulfuric acid, and produces the incectivides products which develop agriculture, and also known for its golden sand beaches

It’s such a lovely town unfortunately we could find anywhere to stay overnight but we’ll be back. 😊
You forgot about surfing, Safi is famous for its beaches and waves wich are perfect for surfing and it attractes professional surfers from around the nation and the globe

After Safi you have Oualidia béa which’s very nice after Agadir and near very close Taghazoute very nice place a lot of fish and nice people and beaches lot to see and visit enjoy your journey across the great southern
