- Today we have packed up from Asilah, our first stop in Morocco this time and we are on the road heading south. The small port city of Larache is about 45 minutes drive from Asilah.
Larache is well known for its seafood and in particular the bustling fish market right on the port. Here you can choose fish and different seafood to purchase and take across the road to one of the many restaurants that will cook it fresh for you right there.
The seafood is delicious! And thank you Larache for a very friendly welcome back to Morocco.

That plate with beans is called "Loubia" which simply means white beans. It's usually made with onions, tomatoes, garlic, parsley, cilantro and a few spices like cumin and parika. They also throw in a few bay leaves for flavour. There is another version where they add in some stripes of sundried lamb cuts which are flavoured with crushed cilantro seeds. Cheers! Btw shrimp in french is crevettes, but if you're in the north you can just use the spanish word "gambas"

Larache, my home town! Across from the harbour, there's the site of the ancient city of Lixus, a UNESCO World Heritage. It was founded by the Phoenicians about 10,000 (ten thousand) years ago. It boasts the only Roman amphitheatre in Morocco. Also, the white fish you got is
