When I first saw this all those years ago, I was genuinely disappointed that it wasn't a trailer, I was genuinely looking forward to seeing this as a film
"He had asthma!" I've watched it six times, and it still cracks me up. Surely the best ad ever, and one of the funniest videos. And yes, boiling someone alive does go beyond reasonable force.
I didnt even realize this ad was made 12 years ago until I finished watching. This ad continues to feel relevant today, no wonder why it’s award-winning
Reading bed timne stories to your kids will never be the same again! Used to do that for my three, and they all became literate and accomplished. Keep it up!
There are so many little brilliant things in this advert. If you pause it at 0:31 on the website it says 'According to the pigs they boiled the wolf alive when he attempted to break into their house after a failed attempt to blow it down' for example.
How does this even resonate today still? This ad could run today and no one would think that it was first shone almost 13 years ago. Why are we still repeating ourselves?
This advert is amazing! Adverts are meant to stick in your mind and thi one certainly did- I'm here on TH-cam watching it again and showing other people! Really clever advert.
It's hard to imagine being a kid these days growing up in a world where this kind of vividly horrific (and contextually dense) imagery is standard fodder.
Ultimately. Our society is a construct of what others want. Unless the people are brave and willing enough to give away their own wants for the betterment of others.
@ryko26 actually no. in the story the first pig runs to the second pig after the wolf blows his house down. after the second house is blown down, both of the first two pigs run to the third one in his brick house. all three were in the last house at the end.
The Guardian, after some time, i want to say that you guys can please do a entire movie about that advert, like a complete story, this will be fire now. 🔥
Same I watched this at school too, I was so excited from the tence atomosphere of the advert that I had to put my hand over my mouth to stop me from screaming!
I can’t believe I had to make an ad just like this with a group at school!!! Did anyone else do the same thing when you were at school... just me... no... yes????
This is *THE* best advert! It influenced me to do some newspaper writing now! The Guardian is my *number one* newspaper now 🤪🤪🤩👍😲lol i watched this at school
I love how they all ignore the fact that the wolf CLIMBED DOWN THE CHIMNEY and thats the only reason he got boiled alive.
And yet the claw marks imply he may have been dragged into it

This ad deserves an Oscar by all means. The best I've seen so far...
It got give the best advert award for light i am not joking
Elena Semykina wow I sooo hope it becomes a movie
Boot licker 😂😂
I really like how they used such an innocent story to create an intense plot. They are fantastic at ads!
Well, it's a pity that years later they make horror movies with our characters
@@TheLeaderOf2010our?
Kind of agree. It's interesting but not new and this is a much loved kids story they seem to be doing this all the time @@TheLeaderOf2010
The specialty of the media: Blowing thinks out of proportion and whipping up a frenzy, for profit.
"innocent story" that's what the government want's you to believe!

"He had asthma!"

Mhm
No it's NOT beyond reasonable force, if it's a big bad wolf, and this is the case in here.
He shouldn't have climbed down the chimney!
Sorry for the bloopers... my fingers are big and the buttons on my cell phone almost as small as the intellect of our politicians...
Aria! Absolutely on the snout! 😄
I wish this was a feature length film.
same but they should make a proper movie about that
I imagine this is like "The Wolf Among Us," where you have the real world and the Fairy Grotto (or rather, the Fairy Ghetto)
I didnt even realize this ad was made 12 years ago until I finished watching. This ad continues to feel relevant today, no wonder why it’s award-winning

It's rare an advert comes along and impresses me, but this was simply genius. Brilliantly made.

For a commercial, that was intense.
Wow this was 9 years ago it looks so well made
Interesting how they took a well-known children's tale and turned it into a modern-day news story, complete with opposing viewpoints on social media.
Honestly, if this was made into a film, I would 100% watch it
This is absolutely amazing. Thanks to one of my professors for sharing this with the class :)

This ad is really powerful, one of the greatest I've ever seen. So believable!
Such a well crafted piece of film, great pacing and well shot. The best part is there is no voiceover, the viewer has to keep up with the story.
