    Well done Laura!! Intervals are brutal and it takes such inner strength to keep pushing even when your body's begging you to stop 😅 Amazing effort!!

    How wonderful. Running in my home town of Cromer. We have some beautiful routes. Looks like you ran up Hell Hill to The lighthouse 😊

    Good shoe choice, I wore that exact shoe/colourway for a half marathon literally out of the box for the first time and could not believe it, felt like a different sport, like I was in lower gravity - crazy and got a big PB.. all the best think you will be well sub 4 probably in the 3:45 region you are improving so much now!

    • @itsonandy
      @itsonandy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not too sure about that... I won't go into into the marathon over confident as the distance kicked my ass at Mile 18 last time!

    Laura, well done on the interval session. I remember the first time I did my first interval session, it was hard, but after, I think I experienced the "runners high" as it felt strangely exhilarating. They do get easier the more you do and they do benefit after a while so keep it up.
    Andy, looks like you are progressing well too, and getting in some good time on feet at decent pace variations. That was also a decent lick in the Nikes. I would not have run on those pebbles myself though, I would have definitely turned an ankle 😀
    Got my first Marathon coming up Sunday @ Chester and I am nervously excited and just finished my last session of a 12 week block.

      @@itsonandy it went beyond my dreams. I got a 3.
      :52:05.
      I trained for a sub 3.30, but missed some essential long runs with an issue in the right Achilles area and it became very clear in my training that I would not be able to hold a 4.58km pace over that distance, so I hoped for a sub 4. Still no issue with that Achilles today which was a huge bonus. In fact no issues except for extremely sore calves and quads
      I did break down after 20 miles with a few walks here and there, but I don't think it was "the wall" it was just painful calves and quads. I have never had painful quads before, but then again, I have never run that far before 🤪 Areobicaly, I felt good. I even managed to put a 5.30 ish last km and a bit. Although it was hard, I thoroughly am proud to call myself a "Marathon runner" now. Good luck with you and Laura in France and the best of luck with Amsterdam

    • @itsonandy
      @itsonandy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's amazing to hear, and huge well done to you. 4.58 pace would be a dream of mine too - maybe in a year or 3 though for me. I'm hopeful for a similar time to yours today but won't hang my hopes on it. All the best mate and enjoy the celebrations today after a great performance!

      @@itsonandy thanks Andy. Not bad for a 52 year old who had only been running for 18 months after type 2 diabetes diagnosis, and actually entering races this year.
