The Atlantic Station storyline married two things together: 1. The trend of exposing karens was at its height at the time (edit: and yes there had been an incident with a karen in a scooter or wheelchair as I recall). 2. Atlanta folks used to joke about getting lost in Atlantic Station's parking garage because it's huge and confusingly sectioned with many entries and exits that are not all usable, plus many entrances to the ground level above. So it was common for people to lose track of where their car was in the garage in relation to where they re-entered the garage and also to be very confused on where to exit. There's artsy meta about how this episode is a thematic coda for the characters for the season. But going into it would kind of lightweight spoil some of ending for the series so I'll circle back then to share it.
I know seasons 1 & 2 are goated but season 4 has a special place in my heart. Feel like they found the sweet spot of weird while still making the characters experience real growth.
I’m a big fan of how Atlanta incorporated the “weird shit” twilight zone elements. There’s no way of knowing but i suspect it wouldn’t have stayed as good/interesting had it stuck with the traditional show style it had. The normal show was necessary to birth the weird imo.
