I'm two seasons behind you guys (though I've seen this bit). Do ya'll remember when Al was performing at the college and Earn ended up with his laptop locked up in that crazy chick's room? He crashed the fuck out...now we know why.
That was HER DECISION to quit her job. Her own hubris was her destruction. She never should have thrown her life out without seeing a dime first. What Earn did was over the top and proof that he quit therapy too soon HOWEVER she contributed to her own demise.
Straight gem of an episode! The acting from Donald, and return of Tracy! But am I wrong in thinking the therapy session also kinda answers why when in the college episode the laptop is locked in ole girl room Earn goes off? It's like ptsd flashback to his college situation that messed his life up?
Earn's after-party made this episode basically a crossover with Black Mirror. So epic and f'd up. A high-functioning individual with gainful employment throws a party to joyfully announce to friends and acquaintances that he has gone utterly, utterly insane. lmao
I always pulled for Earn despite his flaws (still do) but this episode did make think twice. To go to that length just to F with somebody is indicative of something not being right with you.
