Did this a couple years ago...One of the best upgrades that i have done while i waited for the OEM pccm+ upgrade to arrive! Unfortunately i could never get my factory mic to work, although the kit says it will work with original mic setup. Hopefully pccm+ fixes

Interesting, i'm cinnecting to a CDR23 so that version would have been useful.
My instructions say connect to constant live power but not to splice into the existing loom. I was going to piggy back to the fuse board..?
I can’t find the fiber clip found a clip towards a the middle does not fit any advise

One questions, all stuf like cd inside the radio and all cd's in cd-changer still works normally? Its important for me to save oryginal functionality

I'm about to buy one of my Cayenne and the version with PCM and CD charger, so if I understand correctly I should work on the charger and not on the PCM with the various cables or am I wrong?😅

@@GenoFoster Yes so annoying! Just received it. I’m a bit hesitant to connect the microphone due to aesthetics. Do you use it a lot and does it work well?
@@carlatashkadeh5890 This was installed on a friend's Cayenne and he wanted to use the microphone more. He said it's pretty good quality. But you are right about the aesthetics part, wonder if there could be some way to route it to the center panel of the headliner to make it less noticeable
"a little hard to reach" it was fucking impossible! haha. plus they zip-tied another cable right in front it which made pulling it out impossible. :/ had to take the whole changer out to get the cable off. oh well. Thanks for the video, good info!

What is the mic for?
What’s the sound quality like? I found that with my similar adapter on my S500, it muffled the sound a bit compared to the CD volume and quality. Much better than those radio adapters, but still not matching the CD quality.

ok, it took an hour to get cord off the back of the cd changer. where does the bypass go? on the loose cord, or in the the changer. the loose plug seems like it looks nothing like the male end of the bypass. im about 5 mins away from returning this to amazon
If the bypass doesn't fit on the cable you unplugged, you unplugged the wrong cable from the CD changer. It should plug into the loose cable acting as a bypass
Does it work if I don’t have BOSE system, CD changer, and phone module? But I have a extended navigation under passenger seat.

Hello I tried for 2 hours to disconnect the cable from the cd changer. Where do I push. Bottom or on top? My fingers already are dead.....

Installed it on 2004 porsche cayenne turbo last night it did not work. Bluetooth works. I got bose on mine. I ordered it on the link you shared from Amazon. I finally look at the manual says it is for Mercedes Benz.
